Just a coincidence he was the only reporter still investigating the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting.
An accomplished Las Vegas investigative reporter was stabbed to death just outside his home — and area police are now hunting for his killer.
The stabbing of Jeff German, 69, was sparked by a fight with another person, police said. Officers found the Las Vegas Review-Journal journalist dead around 10:30 a.m. Saturday after responding to a 911 call.
The newspaper’s top editor said staff was “devastated to lose Jeff.”
“He was the gold standard of the news business,” said Executive Editor Glenn Cook in a statement.
“It’s hard to imagine what Las Vegas would be like today without his many years of shining a bright light on dark places.”
Police believe the deadly confrontation occurred the day before his body was found, the Las Vegas Journal-Review reported. The newspaper reported that a 911 caller said German’s body was found on the side of his home.
“We do have some leads,” said Capt. Dori Koren of the Las Vegas police. “We are pursuing a suspect but the suspect is outstanding.”
“LVMPD enacted its major case protocol Saturday in the homicide investigation,” the department said Sunday, according to the Review-Journal. “This brings together a variety of resources to maximize the investigative effort and apply a sense of urgency to the apprehension of the suspect.”
German’s reporting uncovered three decades of organized crime and political corruption, the newspaper said. But Cook noted German hadn’t told newsroom leaders he was concerned for his safety or that there were any threats against him.
He started at the Review-Journal in 2010 after leaving the Las Vegas Sun.
Part of his reporting focused on exclusives following the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting —the deadliest in American history — where 60 people were killed and hundreds more injured.
German was also the author of “Murder in Sin City: The Death of a Las Vegas Casino Boss,” a 2001 true-crime book about the death of Ted Binion, the heir of the Horseshoe Club Fortune.

They had to protect their “reputation” as there was a straight line from Savile to the Royal Family. And there was good reason the word “vile” was in Jimmy’s last name.

What’s everyone’s guess of what really happened in Vegas? An ISIS thing? My hunch is that it was a CIA thing to make the case for gun control. The FIB clammed up quickly but only after a couple of days, making me think they weren’t immediately in on it.
The fact this incident was basically scrubbed from the national consciousness is enough proof that the government was either aware of what was going beforehand or instigated/fabricated it. Paddock was their perfect patsy, crazy old white boomer rampaging through peaceful concertgoer’s. They don’t even include this man in their screeds against gun control, guilty conscience much fedbois?
Paddock was definitely a spook, his “girlfriend”(handler?) as well. That whole arriving at the airport in a wheelchair, playing at feebleness was A+ stuff. The basic facts, the wall of silence and the government reaction is enough to tell you that something very nefarious went down in Vegas, beyond the murders. This is allegedly the worse mass shooting in American history and 90+%of this country wouldn’t know Steven paddock from Steve mcqueen.

But I don’t think it was a Sandy Hook type F.F., IW. My guess a Fast and Furious type arms deal gone sideways. The coordinated MSM coverup and brazen arm twisting of local LEO point to Intra-agency Deep Ones. Las Vegas being a new and exciting area of operations for a cartel/narco-state + Shadow Empire link up.
And, unfortunately, some collateral damage in this case. Lots of loose ends and maybe TPTB just removed one.
This doesn’t mean they don’t exist but the peculiar thing about this mass shooting was how there were no pictures of the injured waiting in a hospital ER posted on social media. 50+ killed would suggest around 300 – 500 injured. Would have completely overwhelmed local hospitals.
I recall trying to chase down a developing victims list and finding that the count may have been fudged but enough real world casualties. That and the absurd variety of weapons and ammo types fired indicated a FBI+ATF/CIA+DIA arms deal /setup and the buyers poked a thumb in their eye.
I can clearly remember watching this video from the Sandy Hook drill taken by a helicopter news crew that thought it was a real shooting and sent their news helicopter out to get footage. This video was posted right after the drill. A guy dressed in camouflage pants ran out of the back of the school, ran across the playing field, climbed the surrounding chain link fence, and ran into the woods. It was winter and there were no leaves on the trees so you could see the guy running through the wood and after about 30 seconds he is surrounded by about 5 other guys in camo carrying guns and he surrenders and is captured.
The section of the helicopter video has been totally scrubbed from the internet. You can find all other parts of this video but not the most important part. One would think that a guy dressed in camo running out of the back of a school where 26 people were allegedly just killed would have merited some investigation but total crickets. Even Alex Jones either missed this video which was widely circulating after the drill or his lawsuit is fabricated and all just theater.
It was the Sandy Hook dog that didn’t bark. And then there were the Facebook memorial pages uploaded three days before the shooting.
Read his book years ago. He was given $10K in expense money to research the book, which he used for his entry fee for the WSOP.
Happy ending there, as he finished either 4th or 5th, can’t remember which, earning around $500K.
