Even though my “good ol’ days” weren’t that great, it had its moments. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. It was a breath of fresh air in a room full of (metaphorical) farts.

Crack on!

Local kids have sold sweet corn out of a pickup at a parking lot corner for the last 2-3 years. This year the city shut them down. Why? “Public nuisance”?!?!??

The day John Lennon got shot I said “1 down, 3 to go” to my grieving classmates……

What a great concert that must have been….

And I remember the prizes, but can’t remember what they came in….cereal? They don’t seem “cracker-jack” like.

Some really good ones here. I remember some friends who had a bicycle paper route, we would go out to collect and after they got their quota we would just go out to collect when we needed money. Every day was a party.

“I wanna go back
And do it all over
But I can’t go back I know
I wanna go back
‘Cause I’m feeling so much older
But I can’t go back I know”

The kid at the lemonade stand. Had his exact hair cut and shirt. Hair is long gone now. Those sure were the good ol’ days. I have nothing but fond memories of childhood. It truly was wonderful and I am blessed to have had a great childhood.

I was a teenager from 1979-1988 and I couldn’t have asked for a better ten year period to be a teenager. Wow, what an exciting time. Damn near perfection for me. There was no better decade. Now, back then we idolized the 1950s. If there was another decade I could be a teenager in, it would be the 50s.

Please keep posting the good ol’ days. I look forward to it every week. It always makes my day.

When my daughter won a goldfish, she said “What should I name it?” I told her “Flushie”. And a couple of days later, Flushie had a toilet burial at sea……
