A Tale of Two Midterms

Guest Post by Ron Paul

Those searching for an explanation of why there was no “red wave” giving Republicans huge gains in Congress in this year’s midterm election should compare this year’s election with the midterm election of 2010. In 2010, Republicans gained a net 63 House seats. While Republicans then did not gain control of the US Senate, they did gain six Senate seats.

These Republican victories in 2010 were propelled by the Tea Party and the liberty movement. These movements became prominent during the waning days of the Bush administration. The liberty movement was advanced by grassroots supporters of my 2008 presidential campaign. The liberty movement’s focus was, and is, on restoring constitutional government in all areas, ending our interventionist foreign policy, and changing our monetary policy by auditing and ending the Federal Reserve and legalizing alternative currencies. Early on, the Tea Party largely focused on opposition to the 2008 bank bailouts.

There was overlap between the liberty movement and the Tea Party as many members of both groups fought for auditing and ending the Fed, ending bailouts, and preventing Congress from passing Obamacare.

Many Republican candidates in 2010 appealed to Tea Party voters by not just promising to repeal Obamacare. They also promised to work to restore limited, constitutional, fiscally responsible government in all areas. In contrast, in 2022 the average Republican candidate offered little in the way of a substantive agenda. In fact, few Republicans called for reversing President Biden’s massive spending increases, much less for restoring the federal government to its constitutional limitations. Despite the controversy over new critical race theory and transgender related policies in government schools, there has not been a renewed push to shut down the Department of Education.

Many Republican candidates in the 2022 midterm election also failed to make an issue out of their Democratic opponents’ support for mask and vaccine mandates and other instances of covid tyranny. Those who did oppose the covid tyranny, such as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and my son Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, won landslide victories.

The Tea Party’s success in forcing the Republican Party to focus on a more pro-liberty, limited government agenda was short lived. Soon after the 2010 election, the Republican establishment returned to its big spending ways. Spending and debt continued to rise under President Trump and a Republican Congress. Republicans even failed to deliver on their signature promise: repealing Obamacare.

The 2010 midterm election showed that people will respond to candidates offering serious pro-liberty ideas and policies. However, the Tea Party’s rise and fall also shows the danger facing ideological movements that become too close with one political party. These movements will start pulling their punches when one of “our team” begins casting bad votes. The argument goes that we must support big government Republicans or we get REALLY big government Democrats.

Fortunately, the liberty movement has remained committed to principles. As the failure of the welfare-warfare state to deliver peace and property — and the failure of the Federal Reserve to fulfill its mandate of ensuring stable prices and low unemployment — become clear, more Americans will join the liberty movement. Support for the liberty movement will accelerate when the inevitable economic meltdown occurs. This meltdown will be precipitated by a collapse in the dollar’s value and the rejection of the dollar’s world reserve currency status. It will bring the end of the welfare-warfare state and the fiat money system. Hopefully, the liberty movement will ensure the welfare-warfare state and fiat money system are replaced by a return to limited constitutional government, individual liberty, and peace.

Barack Obama: “I tell you what, it helps in Ohio that we got Democrats in charge of the machines. But look, I come from Chicago so I want to be honest. It’s not as if it’s just Republicans who have monkeyed around with elections in the past, sometimes Democrats have too. Whenever people are in power they have this tendency to try to, you know, tilt things in their direction.”

No mention of Election Fraud?

God Bless Doctor Ron Paul.

Ron is still such a diplomat that he won’t mention how the Tea Party and Liberty movements were compromised by infiltrators intent on sowing seeds of discord from within those groups. “If a house is divided against itself, it cannot stand.”

Right On Ron! So many issues, so little time. The Tea Party got co-opted by the Establishment, and similarly MAGA Republicans failed to focus on the issues listed in your article. I see little alternative, however. If I vote for a third party candidate, I can guarantee a Democrat victory (See Woodrow Wilson). The feckless individuals who ran on a MAGA agenda failed to deliver (I’m looking at you Eye Patch McCain). This leaves us Liberty folks caught between a rock and a hard place of trying to choose the lesser of two evils. The questions then become how can we disseminate our message better, and how can we get candidates with the spine to stand and fight for that message.

The answer is the answer that you dare not think, much less speak. It is the answer that makes you (and me, btw) shit your pants.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Or, perhaps this is the actual tale of two midterms, instead:

Midterm # 1:

….GOP candidates won in U.S. states that had implemented measures to secure elections, like voter I.D. and other initiatives. In those states, conservative candidates emerged victorious – even in urban blue counties.

Midterm # 2:

And in areas with shady election shenanigans like malfunctioning voting machines in key precincts, unsecured mail-in ballots, stall tactics and extended deadlines, several Democratic Party candidates won.

Very simply, it’s because the Democrats couldn’t cheat-by-mail and harvest “ballots” in 2010 like they can today.

This is like arguing over which buggy whip is better.

Politics is dead in America, all that remains is the theater of the deformed and stupid and you know how enjoyable that is.

Constitutional issues were presented in 2008-10 ?? Let me offer a couple of such issues.

QUESTIONS REGARDING THE INCOME TAX

The following letter has been mailed to my elected members of Congress regarding matters that are of my concern. If you feel that your elected officials should be aware of the situation described, feel free to forward a copy to them, or to post it elsewhere with this website’s link.

***************************************************

Dear Congress Critter,

One issue the ‘deep state’ does not want discussed is the income tax. The statute in the 1939 IRS Title 26, Section 1, imposed a tax on “all income.” In the rewriting of 1954, it was changed to “taxable income”– ‘without change.’ They realized the unconstitutionality of a tax upon Sovereign Citizens and of incompatibility with Constitutional mandates. If a person wants to volunteer a payment to the IRS, they will take your money—and demand more. If an income tax on Sovereign Citizens was valid, the government could demand 100% of an individuals’ earnings and slavery [a coup] would be obvious. And that, with the hiring of 87,000 armed IRS agents, appears to be the objective—WITH INCREASED TAX RATES.

Without a statute that imposes the tax, an identified violation [which is necessary for valid process] can never be pled. If the responsibility/ statute is not before the court as an issue in the indictment, the court can never rule it unconstitutional. Tricks of the trade. Income tax indictments suggest violation of statutes ##7201-7215. Those statutes have been applied to gambling, horse racing, admission and other taxes. They cannot allege violation of a “known legal duty” for an income tax. All such indictments appear to be invalid. The Supreme Court, relying upon the Congressional Record, has confirmed these statues apply to all taxes.

The chaos of the USA society, and the government corruption, along with globalist Great Reset oppression, are submitted to be instigated and funded by two methods of questioned legality.

FIRST: An Income tax on Sovereign Citizens is not consistent with Constitutional authorization nor does statutory authorization for such a tax exist. The nation is being decimated with this transfer of wealth to financiers via a Ponzi scheme. Ref.

THE INCOME TAX SCAM & 87,000 ARMED IRS AGENTS

; THE INCOME TAX SCAM & 87,000 ARMED IRS AGENTS

SECOND: The Federal Reserve system is alleged to covertly transfer $4 billion ‘profit’ derived from auctions of Treasury securities [government money] to unknown Fed shareholders DAILY [per each trillion of annual deficit spending]. All profit of the Rothschild’s Fed legally belongs to the government. The relevant accounts of government money, which handle $15 trillion annually, have never been audited. Ref.

THIS IS OUR BANKING SYSTEM

THIS IS OUR BANKING SYSTEM. This scheme appears to have historic roots; ref. Benjamin Ginsberg, FATAL EMBRACE.

Both methods involve financiers – BEYOND GOVERNMENT – who are the chief beneficiaries. The writer concludes that every annual trillion dollar deficit results in Rothschild owners receiving $20 billion every week to spend on a globalist agenda, laundering in Vanguard or BlackRock for enterprise control, IMF domination, WEF, Covid lockdowns, Ukraine war-mongering, southern invasion, mass destruction of food processors, curtailed petroleum supplies, and George Soros foundations among many more.

Globalist’s source of unlimited funding is analyzed to come from the FRBNY’s exclusive handling and ‘disappearing’ of funds from auctions of Treasury securities. TreasuryDirect Institutional tabulations historically identified ‘new cash’ and implied the funds went to the government. If that money went to the government, it would be the same path as tax revenue [from public funds to government coffers]. Such a flow would eliminate any increase in National Debt and also avoid any increase in circulated market value [inflation]. Money exceeding that which is used to roll over prior debt is generated from the auctions which is NOT transferred to the government. Nobody, including Cato, Mises Institute, and others, has identified where that money goes. The accounts, which currently handle $15 trillion annually of government funds, have NEVER been audited.

The GAO has standing authority to audit ANY handling of government funds such as these. The Second Circuit C/A has additionally identified any official records of a FR bank as subject to FOIA demand. Bloomberg v. Fed. 2010.

Do you believe a congressional committee should investigate either of these matters to prevent further exploitation of the nation ?

Respectfully,
I. R. Citizen

Dear Respectful Citizen,

Since your earnings are not in the silver and gold coinage required by the former Constitution, I submit that you have wandered off ye olde reservation deep into Federal Reserve territory where our agents are more than equipped to make you beg to pay my ever increasing salary in debt-based klown bukz.

You and your friend lost. Suck it up or go make your own revolution of graft in some other country. You’ll find wherever the natives haven’t been 100-years domesticated into spineless, contract citing whiners, it will be a long march.

Signed,

The Honorable Ben Critterblatt

History as my guide and the purveyor of truth, here’s how this ends. The news cycle will roll on for a week or two more. The talking points will steadily move people away from the election theft. Something will happen between now and then to refocus the sheep. The sheep (easily distracted) will turn they’re thoughts towards some other news event and all will be forgotten. No riots, no CW 2.0 in fact, not even a mention. Only the people on these types of comment boards will keep it alive, truly a tempest in a tea pot. It’s all becoming very routine for the plebeians, almost expected.

Sadly, agreed. History will addendum the, “just barely tolerable tyranny irreversibly extinguishing our potential,” part slowly, then all at once.
