Russia was sending missiles to Eastern Ukraine to hit infrastructure, power plants etc. So not really that far off from the border. The area surrounding the city of Lubin, with a reported population of 75,000, is crammed with agricultural production. The land use across the border with Ukraine to the east shows significantly less agricultural production, with significantly more industrial parcels in comparison.
I have no details on the grain drying facility that was allegedly involved somehow in this incident.
Not a grain drying facility, from my reading of several reports out of Poland and Malaysia. It was referred to as a “drying square,” inferring that the area struck was not a mechanized facility for drying grains in bulk. The “Grain Drying Facility” seems to be just an open area reserved for this purpose. No mention of machinery or stockpiles whatsoever in any reporting I’ve seen so far.
Also, Polish Twatter feeds are starting to show pieces of something that looks to them like parts from a KH-101 missile.
