Last I remember from last year, they were saying global warming weakens the bra strap of the jet stream and that gives us the floppy boobs of a cold dome or something dumb like that.

When you live on the east side of a large body of water, the snowstorms tend to be epic quite often. They used to call it “lake effect” snow, but now it is borderline catastrophic.

Earlier today NPR explained – I shit you not – that this snowstorm is because of global warming. The lake is warmer than “usual”, making the air more humid, making it snow more.

Global warming is not falsifiable. It’s all one big lie – like the holocaust.

I know you’re envious, the “old green-eye” as it has been known. The element burns with a nice green flame, when ignited. This green flame color is very characteristic of burning boron compounds.

Show me the physical evidence. “Je ne sais quoi?” Yes, a certain quality…

The story tires. BTW, Robert Clary dies this past 16th. Does that bring the count to six millions and one?
I have more respect for Werner Klemperer.
At least Klemperer had one un-corrected eye.

The ovens were for those already dead. No living people were put in ovens.
Zyklon-B was for delousing. The clothing was put through delousing chambers with Zyklon-B. No jews were gassed with Zyklon-B to “exterminate” them. The “gas chambers” are a myth. Your schtick is getting old.

O it happened all right. My old boss, Joe was with the third army when they liberated Buchenwald, heard tell that they gave the guards rifles to the prisoners and walked away, and returned after the shooting stopped to find a bunch of dead Nazis. That’s a lesson for the future as well as the past.

It’s because of this sort of weather event that they don’t call it global warming anymore. It’s now called “climate change” which can literally mean any type of weather you like, coz it changes, doh! Do try to keep up /s

Within the offices of Dr. Evil, someone has decided to combine climate change with the next pandemic….

Study shows hundreds of thousands of tons of bacteria are being released by melting glaciers

As climate change progresses, doomsday reports from around the world have proliferated. One alarming claim is that a virus or strain of bacteria will emerge from ancient ice that is impervious to the human immune system, killing off most, if not all, of humankind.

Don’t worry, even after ice melts you can still dig an ice core out and know the exact temperature of the whole planet year by year including the years when the ice melted. And you will still have an unbroken record from which you can tell which ice is from which year even though some years’ ice has melted.

Oh yes that have tried to spin this event as something to do with climate change. Lake effect snow is an interesting phenomenon whereby cold Canadian air swoops over the Great Lakes (mainly Ontario and Erie) and picks up moisture from the warmer water. There has to be a very particular temperature differential to create these conditions and when it happens it can dump a shit ton of snow. As soon as those winds come off the lakes with all that moisture it goes to snow. We had some warm days early November, so the climate wackos are blaming that. Here is the thing…lake effect has always been a thing, especially in November and December. It isn’t until the lakes get cold enough where it slows down.

Simple logic dictates that the lakes are warm from Summer, so therefore late fall and early winter the lake effect snow will be the strongest. But the climate freaks never let a bullshit narrative go to waste. It is no different than the hurricanes, which like lake effect snow, have been occurring for tens of thousands of years.

I am not near Buffalo, f that place, but we get snow from Ontario and I am looking outside at a foot so far. Just another Winter in upstate, no biggie.

I’ve spent a few years around Rome, NY. many years ago. Lake effect snow storms could pack a wallop. Nor’easters always packed a wallop. The weather move’s in cycles, it always has and it always will. Calling it climate change is the perfect con job.

I lived and worked in the Jamestown, New York area for a while in the early 90’s. It started snowing in the beginning of November.
It snowed almost everyday, and was overcast until February, when lake Erie mostly froze.
Crazy how bad the snow squalls were and remember the thunder snow warnings on the Television.
Amazing how localized it could be.

Most people don’t know, or would admit, that we’re currently in an ice age and have been for over 2 million years. The Quaternary Ice Age.
Over and over and over glaciers have advanced and covered much of the world and also retreated durning warmer periods. These times of advancing ice have lasted tens of thousands of years. But each time they were followed by warm periods, called interglacials, which we’re in now, which lasted anywhere from a few thousand to maybe 20,000 years. During the interglacials, glaciers melted and the ice retreated, but it always returns, later.

We’ve been in this interglacial period for the last 12,000 years and we don’t know when it will end. The glaciers could start growing again tomorrow or not for another 10,000 years. Scientists don’t know the when, only that it has before. Scientist calculate at least 50 glaciations and retreats since this Quaternary ice age began, so there will be more.

The smart boys think the earth has had five Ice Ages, the first one lasted 300 million years and resulted in a earth that was more of a snowball, ice where I live in Michigan was three miles thick.

No one knows how long the current ice age will last, how many glaciation and interglacial cycles it’ll go through, how severe it may get, or if there will be another snowball earth. Most ice ages last 100 million years or more, at only 2 million years this one is still very young.

What I do know though is if we can raise taxes high enough, eliminate fossil fuels, eliminate our carbon footprint, recycle more, listen to Greta and progs, we can stop these ice ages from ever happening again.

Amen.
