The fact that these children live in apartments apartments with multiple males is not extraordinary.
Think of the cost of rent, and think about the work that an uneducated, illegal, foreign immigrant can get. Most immigrants are male. Even if everything was perfect and above board with these programs, there would still be multiple males living in each household.
On the other hand, these people have no business even being here and should not be our problem. There will be abuse back in their villages, but the potential for gross, severe, and ongoing abuse, fraud, maltreatment, and criminality is multiplied many times over by their being here in the U.S. cut off from their families, communities and culture, as well as being constantly under the threat of legal recrimination.
The gov’t politicians, agencies, and non-governmental organizations that operate this system, down to every last individual involved, are wicked.
The whole thing should have come to a screeching halt at the observation that the only available “sponsors” would be undocumented aliens who have absolutely no relationship to the sponsored and no right to be in the country. There could be no good fruit from that rotten tree.
