My family doctor told me that for decades, sorry no vaccines for viruses, go home rest, take something for fever, and keep liquids going in.
Variants of course is a whole other thing, used to be mutations but a new word was needed.
Some antibiotics have some antiviral activity. No vaccines are safe and even fewer are effective.
Right in time for the normal winter flu season that has happened every winter of my life. But now is a variant requiring a special shot. I’ll pass on the poison.
I remember one year I had the whooping cough. The coughing fits were so awful a couple of times I ended up on the floor next to a pile of vomit. Fun times. Haven’t been sick with anything though now, for at least a decade.

I had not been sick for decades, my tri protection of 30 + supplements, vodka and tobacco has worked like a charm, until last week. Had a nasty little bug, fever, coughing my brains out, sneezing all the fun stuff. I switched my vodka brand to the real cheap shit and that seemed to do the trick.
Auntie also trusts the efficacy of the venerable clear potion, Spence. A proper Bloody Mary or two (with a celery stalk!) is a lovely and prophylactic way to start the day.
