KYIV — Somber news came out of war-torn Ukraine today as reports confirmed Santa Claus’s sleigh had been mistaken for a hostile Russian aircraft and was shot down by a Ukrainian surface-to-air missile as it flew over the greater Kyiv area early this morning.

It has long been suspected that Santa Claus frequently makes test flights over this region in the days leading up to Christmas, but there have been reports of Ukrainian military personnel being overly eager to try out their new missiles provided by the United States.

“One of our reconnaissance teams observed something unidentifiable on the radar this morning,” said Ukrainian military spokesperson Grigor Grigorovic at a media briefing. “We attempted multiple times to communicate with the aircraft and received no response. We very clearly warned the aircraft that we would open fire if it remained in restricted Ukrainian airspace. We did what we had to do. This tragedy is not on us. The blood of Santa Claus is on his own head.”

Wreckage believed to be remnants of Santa’s sleigh was found in a nearby village, though there has been no sign of Santa himself. The public is holding out hope that he has somehow survived and will still be well enough to carry on his Christmas work over the weekend.

At publishing time, the White House offered no comment on any involvement of the United States in the incident, though the Biden administration was already aware of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky already requesting another Patriot missile to replace the one used to destroy Santa’s sleigh.

From the goofy smiles on the naked ones it looks like President Senility is probing some dark holes; the white gloves are just a diversion.

We really should not be perpetuating the Lie of a Santa to out children.
It puts into the minds of our young that it is OK to lie to family members.
As I understand, the Protestants that settled this country did not celebrate Christmas.
As I understand, the Vatican started the celebration along with Easter(Ishtar) as replacements for Saturnalia and Passover.

If one is going to give another an appreciative gift, why not give it on any other calendar date.

The whole gift giving frenzy makes gifts (Dozens of them preferred) absolutely meaningless.

My Grandfather (1891 to 1969) said when one was given the gift of a simple orange, a gift so precious and appreciated, that one would hide it to be savored at some future time.
The gift was most likely to turn green with mold before the recipient found the right time to taste it.

No. Christmas was never about the birth of a savior. There is know way of knowing the date.
December 25th is the date that the “Sun Worshipers” noted the first noted the rising Sun was starting to move northward again.

I respect the early Quakers views of “Holidays”.
Quakers respected no special days and did not respect the Status of “Persons”
We could all learn from the original Quakers and follow what the Scriptures actually teach.

My mom, who grew up poor in London during WWII, got an Orange for Christmas, and sometimes it was the only fruit all winter. What you say is true. At 92, she has an orange, a piece of toast and a pot of tea every morning with gratitude . No meds and no illnesses at 92!!! but deep appreciation of being an American by choice. Also had Covid at 90, no big deal. The orange thing though—damned if I haven’t heard that story 6,000 times.

I remember the last time “Tourists” were shot down. Funny how an Iranian missile just happened to take out a plane full of University Biology/Chemistry Students, specialists and Dr.’s. Just before the Pandemic. Or how Barry and Honey Sherman were done in, for no reason. ((They)) Never take out their own, Why those two? Why would anyone target Apotex Drug Manufacturing before a Pandemic?? You’d better play along….

NORAD has dis-affirmed any knowledge of such an incident. ” It did NOT happen” says that organization’s top general.

He travels in a time dispersal field and cannot be harmed. Data said so.
