Quake Prediction Says “Signal Just Hit,” Warns Of Potential Big Earthquake From San Francisco To LA

Via ZeroHedge

An earthquake rattled parts of Northern California on Sunday for the second time in two weeks. The 5.4-magnitude quake was centered about 30 miles south of Eureka. On Dec. 20, a 6.4-magnitude earthquake also struck near Eureka.

Now one quake prediction research firm warned that the next big one could be imminent.

On Monday morning, Quake Predictions published a warning that read for the next two days — there is a “dangerous situation” of the likelihood of a 7.0-magnitude “in the San Francisco Bay to NW of Los Angeles area.”

The warning comes after two sizeable quakes hit Northern California in less than two weeks.

Sunday morning’s earthquake was described as “more violent this time,” Rio Dell Mayor Debra Garnes told CNN in an interview.

“It was shorter but more violent. My refrigerator moved two feet. Things came out of the refrigerator. There’s a crack in my wall from the violence of it,” Garnes said.

California has an average of five earthquakes per year with magnitudes between 5 and 6, according to LATimes. And the latest shakings might suggest a long overdue big quake could be nearing.

Oh boy. If the 98% area falls into the ocean think of the long lasting positive implications. Fingers crossed.

I’d rather the capital, the Getty’s, the governors mansion with him in it go first, then the most blue and facsist areas after that. There are still some good people left, wouldn’t want to throw the baby out with the bath water. If only their were selective earth quakes and tsunamis.

Their power base comes from the bay area. If that and LA go into the drink we good. Lots of conservatives in CA just not enough to overwhelm the other two areas.

Majority of Californians are conservative. We now know that the elections have all been stolen since the Dem/commies wormed there way into every county Board of Elections, decades ago.

When your computer clears it’s history. Some do it automatically. You have to re-log into TBP. Look at the bottom of your post. for log in information.

“Why isn’t my handle appearing any more?”

Not sure what your screen looks like. When i hit ‘Reply’ on Your post, a box to enter text appeared. When i clicked to enter text, ‘Name’, ’email’, and ‘website’ Boxes appeared.

fill out ‘Email’, and then another little box (looks like a bell with a back-slash through it) becomes ‘clickable’ – “Notify of new responses”, or something like that.

Name field may be ‘default’ anonymous?

Took me foreva to figure out the basics.

Worried about making a silly goose out of Yourself?

These guys will look pretty foolish if a big quake doesn’t strike given their stated risk of 98% for San Fran and south along the coast. I hope they’re wrong, obviously. (I was in Berkeley during the ’89 quake, and that was enough for me.)

What’s the old saying? “Predictions are hard, especially about the future.” That 98% risk is going to make it very difficult to support some pretense to accuracy. Yes, that 2% chance of no quake is always a possibility, but a lot of people (myself included) are likely to think “these guys are much too gullible about their own omniscience.”

And why in the hell would you put your emergency evacuation/triage/care facility in an UNDERGROUND parking structure following an earthquake? Typical government thinking. LOL George Kennedy and Charlton Heston are both dead, so LA is doomed. Maybe if the Rock is free, he seemed to do ok saving everyone in San Andreas.

Agreed. I find it hard to believe there are only a few 5.0- 6.0 scale quakes per year in CA. About 25 years ago I lived on the central coast of CA, less than 75 miles south of the bay area. Every weekend the local newspaper published a color-coded map of seismic activity detected over the past week in the region, along with the weather report. And every week there were literally dozens of 3.0-4.0 quakes, along with a few between 4.0-5.o. Large numbers of seismic events are common in that entire region

The USGS has an earthquake map that shows quakes worldwide over 2.5. They are happening ALL the time. There are other sites that do the same monitoring and display real time data as well.

I’d look and see what the underground metal mining companies are doing in the area. Have they issued any warnings to their employees. All the larger underground metals mining companies employ a small army of geophysicists, geologists, and geotechnical engineers. Their (private) measurement and prediction capabilities far exceed that of government agencies.

Well maybe if we threw all the commie cunts into the San Andreas as a sacrifice it may stop it. If it saves one life we have to try it.
