Pentagon Claims Iran Is ’12 Days Away’ From Nuke Material For A Bomb

Propaganda to rationalize the coming attack on Iran by Israel

Authored by Jason Ditz via AntiWar.com,

Speaking to the US House Armed Services Committee, Undersecretary of Defense Colin Kahl falsely testified that Iran could make enough weapons-grade uranium for a bomb in “about 12 days.”

Kahl claims that Iran’s enrichment capacity has increased sufficiently over the course of the past five years — since the US abandoned the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, aka the “Iran nuclear deal” — to reduce that timeline from more like a year, and regrets that the JCPOA is “on ice.”

Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Colin H. Kahl, Department of Defense image.

Kahl as the third ranking DOD official said in his testimony, “Because Iran’s nuclear progress since we left the JCPOA has been remarkable. Back in 2018, when the previous administration decided to leave the JCPOA it would have taken Iran about 12 months to produce one bomb’s worth of fissile material. Now it would take about 12 days.”

He continued: “And so I think there is still the view that if you could resolve this issue diplomatically and put constraints back on their nuclear program, it is better than the other options. But right now, the JCPOA is on ice.”

But other officials concede that Iran is not stockpiling any uranium enriched beyond 60%, well short of weapons grade, and also doubt Iran’s other technical capacities to build nuclear weapons.

Getting a bomb’s worth of 90% uranium is no small task, even before trying to make it into a deliverable weapon. Iran’s weapons development capabilities would be in doubt even if they were stockpiling uranium, which again they aren’t.

Pentagon officials still maintain that getting back into a deal with Iran is preferable to not having one.

For anyone with a daily habit of reading various media and a memory longer than that of gnat, you will recall that they have been saying this since 1996. The only real differences are the length of time- six months is the one they use most frequently- and who says it- usually it’s Israel, but lately and more frequently, it’s the US.

I don’t know what Iran is up to, I don’t speak Farsi and I don’t believe Western media so I only have Youtube videos of Iranians cooking meals or tending animals to guide me. I do know that there was never and is never going to be any threat from nuclear weapons, not from Iran and not from anyone else because I am 100% convinced that nuclear weaponry is just another one of their fabulist storylines that serves the dual purpose of keeping populations frightened and anxious, as well as a means of robbing those same citizens blind while the important and necessary features of an advanced society, like secure borders and up to date infrastructure fall into complete disrepair and neglect. There are those of you who firmly believe in them and that’s fine, but no amount of argument is ever going to persuade me on this issue. Human beings do not go places to never return and they never create weapons that they do not use. Human nature weighs heavier in the scales than a couple grainy black and white films from the 50’s.

This story is not true and you know it in your gut. Once you begin to understand that everything, everything is fake and gay, you are no longer compelled to live in a constant state of anxiety, you can just laugh at what a hot mess all of the political/media world has turned into.

There’s only one problem with your theory. You’re assuming that humans are the only higher form of intelligence on this planet. In that assumption you are woefully wrong.

It would be equally wrong to assume these other beings have no agenda while here. That they’re just here on a lark for a “vaykay”. Everything that exists has a purpose, for without purpose we would not exist.

And FYI? My father was there at Bikini Atoll for the nuclear tests. I have personally (physically) laid on my back in the steam channel heads of several nuclear power plants including, but not limited to, Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant in NY and Conn/Yankee Nuclear Power Plant as well.

Nuclear power is real. Nuclear weapons are real. And your fear of them must be equally real for you to lie to yourself about something so obvious.

Nuclear power is not a nuclear bomb, is it? Why conflate the two? It doesn’t make your argument, it undermines it and makes it look deliberately deceptive. Nuclear power plants don’t operate by initiating an explosive sequence to create fission, but by heating water with radioactive material that naturally produces fission using core rods packed with radioative elements submerged in a pressurized water tank and using the resulting steam created to propel a turbine. You know that, right?

And their constant use is proof of their existence, like I said above. Human beings do not create things and then not use them, it goes against their nature. If you can think of another example where this is demonstrably evidenced, I am all ears.

And spare me the old “my father was (fill in the blank)” as evidence of something you cannot know. I saw the Moon landing on TV, I saw the planes hit the WTC buildings, but I only saw it through the filter of the government/media complex and knowing them by their behavior, I reject the claims behind what I “saw” as farcical and ridiculous. Your father may have indeed witnessed a large explosion, but he didn’t witness attoms splitting, did he?

No, he did not.

And I make it a singular point of my daily life to never, under any circumstances, lie to either myself or others, even when it makes me look stupid or unkind, for reasons of utmost importance to me.

As for higher forms of intelligence? How would you quantify that? Intelligence would appear to be almost wholly absent in the human species judging by their delusional and degenerate behaviors. Some maay possess it, but on the whole most humans are just a form of livestock that has the capacity for speech.

I think trees have a pretty good thing going, but I don’t know if that qualifies as intelligence.

And besides, the article wasn’t about my belief in a-bombs, it was about the constant and repetitive lying by governments about the same thing, over and over and over and the almost magical inability of anyone to recall how often the same lie has been told and proven to be false. Why not address that?

I know everyone thinks you’re a glowie, but I just think your obtuse in the extreme. Your right to do so, of course, but every so often you are going to have to demonstrate a learning curve if you keep posting here because there are a lot of folks who recall what you’ve said in these comments and know when you’ve been given the information to correct your misapprehension. Your writing indicates a level of intelligence above the average, but your ability to follow a train of thought appears imperceptible. That’s an odd combination in an honest man.

You keep checking me and I’ll keep an eye on you, let’s see where we are a year or two from now.

I repeat- Nuke plants exist because they are in use.

Nuclear weapons do not, because they aren’t used.

Humans do not create things and then not use them. I asked for any other example and no one provided one.

So basically your statement that packing uranium together in bundles just magically kick themselves off to start producing heat…… is really from the NRC? There is a sequence to kick the reaction off, it is not explosive I agree, but fuel bundles unless “activated” do not magically produce heat. And they are not radioactive before then, you can stand beside skids of bundles waiting to go in.

This is what I mean, endless chain yanking instead of addressing the topic.

I said it simply because like I said previously, everything I “know” about nuclear energy comes from people I don’t trust. I doubt many people on this blog have actually started a nuclear chain reaction, much less put all the pieces together, you’re only repeating what you’ve read.

Here, this is from MIT, it’s pretty much sophmore high school level as far as explanations go, but yes, it’s what I described above as I am able to understand-

https://nrl.mit.edu/reactor/fission-process#:~:text=When%20a%20U%2D235%20nucleus,for%20creating%20a%20chain%20reaction.

Now back to the topic in the headline-

Do you think Iran is 12 days away from nuke material for a bomb, or is it more likely yet another boy who cries wolf situation after decades worth of these kinds of threats? And more importantly, how would you know?

Denial may be a good cover but not a great plan. A nuclear bomb is theoretically sound and an easy concept. It’s the fissile material that’s difficult to produce. Once uranium U235 is enriched to 90% pure and centrifugally forged, the rest is a slam dunk so to speak. Then you have the H-Bomb, another physically sound concept.

Our Gov’t and yours actually work with the Iranian nuclear program. Kinda like Canada “arresting” Meng Wanzhou, so the sheeple think we are against them (China) especially during the beginning of the “Plandemic”. I have experience working overseas in facilities similar to CS. But but, the Iranians shot down a plane with a bunch of Canadian Doctors and scientists……. At Canada’s behest. Look who was on the plane…..There is no more China VS USA, There is no more Russia VS USA, There is no more USA VS Iran, Canada VS Iran, USA VS ISIS, Mujahideen, etc. . The cold hard truth is….it is China + Russia + Switzerland + Iran + Canada + US+A + EU vs ………… goy people. They are all collaborating together. Like a One World Order under the guise of the UN, WEF, WHO, IAEA, BIS. They are all teamed up together on Space programs, Weather Programs, Nuclear Programs, Covid Programs, Carbon Credit Programs, Social Score Programs, Vaccine Programs…… and Public Media Programs so people in all countries believe the other is their mortal enemy. So, I guess all the silos scattered across the US were built for later use as bomb shelters for the uber wealthy? The Manhattan Project, Oppenheimer, Enola Gay, Hiroshima & Nagasaki are all psyops too?

My wife’s father, a Navy CB in the Pacific, was stationed on Tinian Island and was part of the construction on that island for what was to be the launching pad for the Enola Gay. They were, of course, kept in the dark about what was going to take place but, they knew something big was up.

Bikini Atoll, which is one big crater now didn’t have 57 tests of atom bombs dropped on it?

We are in a world of great delusion. I used to believe much about what was said of 9/11 (the official stuff) and now know it was all a setup.

I used to believe we went to the moon. When I first heard Joe Rogan (12 or 13 years ago) say we didn’t, I thought he was nuts. I now believe we didn’t and it was all one big psyop.

The first couple of years of ‘W”s presidency I thought he was probably a good man. After all, he kept at bible on his desk and the military liked him. I came to understand that he, and his family, are all evil bastards and part of the great cabal.

Not every single thing that has happened is a “fix is in”. A lot, but not everything. Some things really are all Occam’s Razer. They are what they are. Exploited yes, like the nukes are today, but still real.

So, I respectfully disagree with you on this.

Listen, I don’t know anything, I’m as ignorant on this topic as anyone else.

My baseline is that I place zero trust in anyone who lies and does not admit to it, show contrition, and change their behavior. Even then it would take years for me to trust them again, if at all. Call it a character flaw spawned by personal experience, but that’s my barometer.

I do know that the best possible path towards knowledge on any topic is to observe, search for patterns, collate that information over time and then come up with some kind of hypothesis that fits the information/patterns. I don’t start out by accepting the claims of known storytellers, especially when it benefits them at the expense of others. That’s just crazy.

I have no idea what was blown up on Bikini Atoll, but I do know that if they possess a weapon system, they will employ it. And if someone went to the Moon, it would already be a destination for scientists, as well as tourists. And WTC 7 most certainly did not fall due to fire.

Whatever is left is up to us to try and figure out to the best of our ability and that’s all I’m doing.

Do not accept anything I say as truth, but rather as well researched and deeply thought out conjecture.

I agree with you on the tactics to get at the truth as you have described them. As I pointed out, I was one of the dumb sheep in my early adulthood who accepted the bullet points on the evening news. I was too busy working a ton of overtime and raising a family. My head was most definitely planted in the sand. When I had my own awakening, and on my journey since, I’ve changed my thinking on a lot of topics, some of them mentioned above. My change in thinking, and my passionate nature to share truths, as I see them, has most likely labeled me as a conspiracy theorist and a bit ‘out there’ with some of my friends…whatever.

Like you, I do my best to get to the truth by cross-referencing various alternative media and then comparing the notes. Unfortunately, even alternative media has become very corrupted with folks just trying to make a buck off of all the crap going on.

I think it is important for us to not fall into the camp of “its all shit and what difference does it make”. I have to talk to myself at times to not fall into that camp. I am a Christian and my worldview is seen through that lens. I know this is not my ultimate home and so, I do try and check myself from time to time when I slip back into that old man meat suit. Now, I’m straying from the topic so, I guess I’ll leave it there.

One last thing; I always appreciate your take on things HSF. You are a deep thinker and, like me (but in a different way), you have been on both sides of the fence and can see things from an experienced perspective.

See that’s where you get caught up I think(HSF). On the Weapons side of nuclear. They can never actually drop a bomb on a major city. There is too much Cobalt 59 in cities. Yes they can make and test warheads on places that do not have large amounts of metals to irradiate, and the radioactivity will dissipate quickly. But do it on Cobalt 59 Tesla’s with many pounds of it being aerosolized as Cobalt 60. The wasteland lasts for about 100years before the radioactivity dissipates enough for habitation. I do not think they dropped Nuclear warheads on Japan. Another hoax carried out by Gov’t. But they do exist, and usage will be specific for their purpose. We may actually see nukes dropped on N. America, but Ukraine won’t.
The only place that is safe in N. America from being vaporized is Cobalt Ontario….lol

The problem is, the government has lied about so many things most people do not know what they can and cannot believe anymore. For me, it is usually a matter of deciding whether or not they could actually pull off a psy-op on that scale or not. The moon landing was not that hard, it is a movie, not a big deal.
Earth being flat… Not possible, 500 years of science, global circumnavigation, high altitude balloons, jet pilots, arc navigation, phases of the moon, eclipse’s, telescopes, seasons, and the fact no one even questioned it until a few years ago..
Satellite’s are only doubted by flat earthers because they prove they are wrong. Can’t have a satellite on a flat earth.
Nuclear weapons, what exactly would be the point? Does someone actually think we faked out Japan to think they were nuked when they were not? Why are the bikini islands radioactive and uninhabitable? Why build thousands of silos and billion dollar submarines to launch weapons that do not exist? Are the Russians, Chinese, France, UK, India, Pakistan, Israel, and N. Korea all in on the scam? Do we blow up Iran’s laboratories because we are afraid they will build power plants?
We get lied to about a lot of things, but these guys are really not that smart, and their lies are usually found out and disproven in time. But to start saying things are not real that are, simply undermines the credibility of all sceptics, and gives the normies ammunition to make us all look crazy.

Bet you didn’t know Iran owns 20% of Erodif – a French based company that processes uranium into fuel grade use in nuclear reactors. So by their equity ownership in Eurodif Iran is owner of the gas centrifuge enrichment technology arising out of the consortium and it is legally entitled to take its share of the enriched fuel grade end product.

It is the spent fuel rods that are further processed into plutonium. The uranium in its self isn’t that dangerous despite all the dirt bomb scare mongering.

https://programs.fas.org/ssp/nukes/fuelcycle/Documents/EnrichmentSupply77.pdf

And what happens when you threaten that equity? Why doesn’t France just shut off the supply of uranium to Iran?

I agree, in order for there to be a conspiracy, there needs to be something to be gained from that conspiracy. The first thing police look at to solve a crime is who would have profited from this.
If you are going to claim something is a conspiracy, then you should be able to point and the motive for the conspiracy.
The moon landing for example is easy, for one JFK said we were going to do it, so it would have been an embarrassment if we had not, also at that time LBJ was beginning the illegal expansion of the Vietnam war into Cambodia and Laos, and needed something to distract attention away from it, and that made a huge distraction.

You need to widen your gaze considerably if you think the governments of the world are in charge of jack shit! They get their marching orders from Satan himself, probably through his lieutenants. Any latitude they receive will serve Satan’s purpose or they wouldn’t be allowed it in the first place.

At least now you don’t have to wonder why things keep going from bad to worse.

While the pattern of operation is always the same with the US. Announce that this ( fill in country ) has ( fill in threat ) and is about to use this ( agreed upon threat ) to attack and/or is threatening US security interests, which is anywhere on this rock they decide is their interest at the moment. Enter the reason we need to bomb the shyte outta Iran.

What follows is the ‘strategic’ bombing of stated threat. If need be, continued bombing until the country is a gravel pit and the bankers can then issue debt forever to that offending country. The only problem is that today, the west is running out of munitions so the bombing with conventional bombs will be short. However, there are plenty of nukes, so they may switch things up a little. Empty a few nuke slots so a few newer ones can be put there, rotaion of stock thru use.

One question I have for the non-nukers, is what flattened two cities in Japan?? Sure as hell wasn’t no fertilizer bombs thats for sure. What kind of bomb would produce a light intense enough where a shadow of where a person was could be seen afterward?? To many problems for hoax and no way was it fertilizer or a plane load of cordite or anything like that.

Then you are ignoring their own words. They admit they are having troubles finding enough stock to ship out let alone keep domestically for ‘self defense’ purposes. Plus production is near non existent for replacement munitions. Imo, this is shoving the insane neocons into the push the button push the button mode.

These evil asswipes are looking for any excuse to actually use what they have, correction, looking to manufacture that existential crisis that justifies ( in their minds) the use of nukes.

I agree, they all say they are “running out”. They “admit” to a lie, a lie like “running out of missiles”. They want everyone to believe “they” had no other weapons to fight with and had no other option but to spread radiation around. I do not think they will start with nuclear warheads, but rather nuclear material carrying conventional warheads ie: dirty bombs. They are totally different with very different paths of lethality.
So I’m not ignoring what “they” are saying about running out, of course they would say that…..

Yeah, I’ve read some of this stuff before. Its BS imo. The US was fire bombing cities in Japan before the nuke. Napalm doesn’t etch a shadow on stone or concrete, nor does mustard gas. Napalm doesn’t turn stone or concrete to gravel either. So either its tons upon tons of bombs turning buildings to gravel, as demonstrated by the US since WW2, or one big badda boom bomb nuke. Which is it??

I have zero doubt the us hasn’t used both because they have in the past, regardless of international laws or restrictions. There is no way you can account for the amount of damage over a wide area by sneaking a weapon into the country, or dropping a fertilizer or high explosive bomb onto these two cities. If you can, lay it out there. Seems nobody will, why?? Probably because doing so would require a tacit acknowledgement of there being nukes used there, is my guess.

The great misconception about nuclear attack is that the greatest threat originates from ICBMs. For those small and weak countries using deception and subterfuge to play the long game, infiltration and corruption are their tools of trade. Why build an ICBM system that makes you a target when you could just, over many years, smuggle and / or acquire and / or steal the components for nuclear bombs into the country you wish to control and build these bombs in secret within every major city? Imagine the power that country would wield if those who “governed” the infiltrated and corrupted country knew of this threat.

Also, he who first detonates a series of nuclear EMPs from orbiting weapons effectively shuts down all satellite communications and therefore shuts down all ICBM delivered counter-strike measures. Thus the analogue / mechanical detonation of the network of secret nukes hidden in the major cities becomes the only solution to nuclear payload delivery. Subs can get closer to targets but guidance systems won’t work after EMP blast takes out satellite systems.

And you still thought the space program is to boldly go where no man has gone before. They’re installing nukes up there to counter the ICBMs but the timeline has progressed to the point where the infiltration and corruption and its fruits of the secret nuke network have now negated that counter measure. The main threat is not from without, but from within.

It’s a game of rock / scissors / paper where the low tech solution that is already at the target wins every time.

Thanks man, low tech, KISS, so made me think about how to “bomb” a city with a dirty bomb. A big dust bomb is kinda archaic. Why not use dressed up fireworks (aerial bomb) shot from the sky as the “dirty bombs”? While actually using like a drone, or varying small aerosol system to target with a bit more accuracy certain areas or nieghbourhoods? Or by other more targeted delivery methods on an individual property basis. No one would be the wiser. And it is cheap, highly effective and discreet..

The russians have been busy developing non satellite or digital tech for their weaponry. They KNOW that the US is wholly dependent on digital tech and well placed emp’s or creating a debris field in lower orbit to destroy satellites would cripple the US entirely. So thres that too.

imo, the subs weaponry won’t rely on digital tech so much.

That was a warehouse situated next to grain silos. Even tho the explosion was big it certainly didn’t level much. The silos were destroyed but still mostly standing, if I remember right. I think it would be much like a fuel airburst except the fuel is dust from the silos. Dust explosions are nasty and most of the damage was done by the shockwave, easily visible. How much more fuel would be needed to cover the entire city?? Far more than practical, imo

Canukistan has a simular event with a ship blowing up in harbour, a munitions ship. Destroyed the city too.

The big buts tho are is these same conditions are not found today. The wood buildings not destroyed by the blast wave were destroyed after the blast by the ensuring fires. Cargo, at that time was mostly bulk and mixed in with what we now know to be reactive materials, hence the creation of the dangerous cargos manifest for shipping all products.

Today there are strict controls on what gets shipped with what and proximities they are allowed. Bulk items like fertilizer and shipped mainly in smaller lots or in mainly mono-cargo containers like bulk carriers. Not like the Palestine derailment which was a weapon and complete disregard for safety regulations as possible.

Buildings are no longer made from wood in cities so the destruction would be more localized, as shown in the Beirut blast. Nor would there be raging fires spreading thru-out the area uncontrolled. Old footage makes for poor examples.

So the question remains, what kind of bomb nuke or not, it take to take out a city, even a small city today.?? I’m still standing by it ain’t practical with fertilizer or even high explosives. The amounts it would take would not be easily hidden or disguised. The cat would get out pretty quick.
