Today is the day Amazon begins shipping Neil Howe’s new book. Looks like 33 were purchased and shipped through the TBP Amazon link. I ordered my copy and look forward to his view on where we stand in this current Fourth Turning. I met him at 30th Street Station in Philly for lunch back in 2011. I had written a few articles about the Fourth Turning and he had read them and suggested we meet. In retrospect, I think he was interviewing me as a potential candidate to work for his Lifecourse website.
He impressed me with his discernment of what was important. Occupy Wall Street was ongoing and I thought it could have an impact on the direction of the Fourth Turning. He immediately dismissed the entire operation as left wing trouble makers and said it would dissolve. He was right. He has since built a hugely successful consulting company teaching corporations how to manage the different generations to maximize their profits.
I’ve read some articles from him over the last several years and he strikes me as a bit of a liberal. He also seemed to abandon some of the key takeaways from previous Fourth Turnings when making predictions about this one. They always end in war and bloodshed, but he danced around that aspect. I had heard that William Strauss was the more realistic of the two when it came to what would happen. I’m interested to see his predictions, as we only have 5 to 10 years left in this Fourth Turning and things get bleaker by the day.

What was your first clue?
Read the first one about 6 years ago, liked it, but not interested in the second. Way too much to read & re-read from great minds before I die, that I’m not even sure there’s time to get through it all. Gotta be selective.
I think we all know where this is headed. You know what you got to do…or should.
I peruse used books online and there are literally hundreds of titles that I would love to have the time to read. But you are right. Time is of the essence, we know where this is going, even if the details are blurry. I find I am losing interest in yet more type devoted to how far we have fallen. It’s painfully obvious.
The forth turning is manufactured narrative used to camouflage a banker fabricated economic collapse. Prove me wrong.

I think its an over-generalized retelling of Revelation cycles. It says there will be these cycles and there will be the final one.

There is One Law. All laws, either in physical or supra physical realms, are just subsets and special laws that are subsumed in that One Law. The One Law is both the substance and the working of what we refer to as God. It is constant, supporting and unyielding in its actions. When one becomes aware of how these laws work, your path becomes easy, to the extent you put it into practice. When you are unaware, or willfully refuse to follow One Law, your life is a shambles.
God does not punish, just as we don’t say gravity punishes the jumper or electromagnetism punishes the careless electrician. It simply is, but the why and how makes up the most profound of all pursuits of human reason.
I’ve bought a few things with your link that aren’t books. What are qualifying purchases? Does it work to right click open in a new window? I would be ashamed to buy stuff from Amazon if I could get them other places, but my efforts to support local businesses in years past failed and big boxes are no better.
