Slip, Sliding Towards Civil War as Trump Tossed From Colorado Ballot

Guest Post by Robert Bridge

In an effort to ‘protect democracy,’ the Colorado Supreme Court declared Donald Trump “constitutionally ineligible” from running in the state’s 2024 primary in what appears to be the latest sign that America is heading for a calamitous train wreck.

Was it any coincidence that on the very same day the Biden administration began the removal of the ‘Reconciliation Memorial,’ which was unveiled 109 years ago in Arlington National Cemetery in the aftermath of the Civil War as a symbol of America’s “national unity,” the state of Colorado denied thousands of its citizens the right to vote for – who else?

In a 4-3 ruling, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that former President Donald Trump lacked the legal credentials to participate in the state’s presidential primary because of the 14th Amendment’s “insurrectionist clause,” removing his name from the state’s 2024 ballot.

The 14th Amendment on insurrection states, Section 3. No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States…shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may, by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

LAST SECOND DEALS

Colorado’s highest court overturned a ruling from a district court judge who ruled that Trump incited an insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021, but said he could not be removed from the ballot because it was unclear that the provision – written in the post-Civil War period – was intended to cover the presidency.

The obvious problem with the Colorado ruling is that Special Counsel Jack Smith did not charge Teflon Trump with an attempt to mount an insurrection on January 6, nor any other day. However, if by some chance the U.S. Supreme Court would affirm the Colorado ruling, leaving Trump disqualified not just in Colorado but in many other states, then it’s off to the races for something potentially unspeakable.

Meanwhile, the cancel-culture commandos continue their attack on civil liberties in other ‘democratic’ venues as well. YouTube, for example, said it will remove videos that make false assertions that institutional fraud cost President Trump the 2020 election (suitcases filled with ballots magically appearing from under desks after the media have all called it a night is just a ‘conspiracy theory,’ right?). Since September, the company has sent to the memory hole over 8,000 channels for spreading “harmful and misleading” content.

To add to the Orwellian-ness of its draconian handiwork, the Google-owned monstrosity was creepily happy to inform in its blog page that “over 77% of those removed videos were taken down before they had 100 views.” If we were talking about the game ‘whack the mole,’ such swiftness might be something to brag about. But since we’re talking about severe violations of the First Amendment, the company should feel nothing but shame.

Incidentally, speaking about violations of the 14th Amendment, how about the part at the end that speaks about givingaid or comfort to the enemies thereof”? With an estimated 5,000 illegal immigrants swarming across the U.S.-Mexico border every day, some traveling as far away as the Middle East and China just for the privilege, couldn’t these mostly military-aged strangers be considered very real enemies? It certainly would seem that U.S. President Joe Biden, who has exposed the American people to every sort of danger, could be found guilty of ‘aiding and abetting’ a very real threat – an epidemic, if you will. Is there not one Republican-led high court in the land to take up the challenge?

Meanwhile, even some of Trump’s in-party political contenders have taken up the battle flag on his behalf. Vivek Ramaswamy, in a masterful move, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he would “withdraw from the Colorado GOP primary ballot until Trump is also allowed to be on the ballot,” before demanding that the remaining field of Republican contenders – Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, and Nikki Haley “do the same immediately.” At the time of this writing, only Haley, who will certainly never take marching orders from Ramaswamy, who just decimated her in the last debates over the question of simple Ukrainian geography, has withheld any comment on the endorsement.

Finally, given that Donald Trump enjoys a commanding lead over Joe Biden, it is no surprise that the Democrats – even at the levels of the judiciary that should know better – are coming out swinging at America’s favorite populist. What these people just can’t understand, however, is that the more they attack Trump, the stronger the Trump brand becomes.

The fearful Orange Man was alleged to have played interference in the 2020 election together with the Kremlin, and then accused of inciting an insurrection, all allegations that were proven false. Now what do we have happening? It is the Democrats who are attempting to interfere in the election process, and the people are not stupid. They can see what is happening, and much like the brilliant ‘mug shot’ PR stunt, Trump will also turn the foolhardy Colorado ruling into yet another battleground triumph on the road to the White House. That is, if another Civil War doesn’t break out first, at least in its theatrical adaptation.

Actually, 3 of the 7 seemed to understand the absurdities of the case as it was presented to them. The Chief Justice was somewhat elegant in his dissent but failed miserably in his implicit role as an “influencer” with regard to getting a 7-0 decision that could have restored a grain of credibility to American government. He failed, just like John Roberts fails when the chips are down.

Unsurprisingly, no one is talking about Section 5 of the 14th Amendment. Only Congress has the power to enforce the Amendment. States and other lower jurisdictions have no standing.

“What these people just can’t understand, however, is that the more they attack Trump, the stronger the Trump brand becomes.”

Yes, the useful idiots on the left, including probably all of the Colorado Supreme Court justices who voted to remove Trump from the primary ballot, can’t understand that. But TPTB puppeteers who are pulling the strings of the useful idiots on the left certainly understand that. It is all theater. They want Trump to become more popular, because he is the designated winner for the 2024 election.

This is what happens when “they” aren’t afraid of the people. We should give up and go hunting and enjoy life.

Put down your beers and put on you MAGA hats that were made in China. Trumpty Dumpty has called us to war. We will march for our Emperor, bigly. We will have a big, beautiful army. Bigger than ever before. Your big beer bellys will be your shield. As we belch our way into battle, our enemies will tremble at the sound of our approach.

Onward to victory!!

Very poor quality invective. Quantity has a quality of its own. The real left has always been a small minority, very loud as followers increase, but handouts are pretty much most of what those followers understand. Thus the spaniel’s inchoate rage against a growing recognition the hard left is an enemy, an insane reduction of an ideology of…. Trash…. Recognized… By people… Everywhere.

None of this really makes any difference. Trump is owned by Israel, the same as Biden, the same as Kennedy, the same as Vivek, same as every other US politician.
The US Constitution is null and void, and the elections are all fake.
The people who claim to be red pilled, are in fact, blue pilled, and do not even know it.
The US is a dictatorship, and you are a subject. You simply believe a narrative that you want to believe….

After 2020, when most everything was taken from them by government force and even recently we see the regime working to make it illegal for the political opposition to run still has people thinking it’s totally normal and not a big deal.
No ones revolting ever it would seem. We can’t even bother to organize.

The problem with free speech is that it’s all out there. It’s up to YOU to sort through it all and keep what you need. some folks end up with a sack full of useless shit. It is inevitable when you consider what blind squirrels most people are.
