The World Economic Forum recently published an article explaining how banks can attract the youngest members of the global workforce. Gen Z (born between 1997-2012) is the first generation to grow up with the internet. Younger Millennials had access, but not to the extent of Gen Z who does not recall life before smartphones. The WEF is looking for ways to profit on their trust in digital products.
The article notes a survey by Oliver Wyman Forum that found that Gen Z has confidence in traditional brick-and-mortar branch banks, with 43% indicating the physical locations give them “peace of mind.” Around 72% of adults in that demographic use “neobanks” which are online-only but various apps and updated features that actually do simplify banking for young individuals. The WEF believes merging the two will benefit the generation who will own nothing and be happy.
They speak of how Gen X is more likely than Millennials to begin investing in equities at a young age, but they fail to note that is because no one trusts government investments. As for young investors, bonds and traditional vehicles are simply boring. Their risk tolerance is much higher. We saw the Gamestop phenomenon and the countless people who lost it all while shouting “DIAMOND HANDS” and “HODL” (yes, I have heard the lingo against my will) as they were misled into believing that they had the power to manipulate the markets.
The WEF also discusses how Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies appeal to the younger investor, but that it “does not imply any rejection of traditional sources of money.” Wrong!
“To build lasting relationships with Gen Zers, however, banks need to combine their physical presence with a competitive, exciting digital offering – including in the metaverse, where many members of this generation spend time. Banks must also provide services that satisfy Gen Z’s demand for convenience, choice, value, sustainability and hyper-personalization.”
Do you see where this is going? The WEF believes that Gen Z will be more willing to accept the idea of digital currency. They will market it as “exciting,” using their own word, and simply another modern technological advancement. They know that the next generation does not have the life experience to understand the full scope of what is happening. It would come as no surprise if the globalists began marketing digital currency to a younger audience first, especially before it becomes mandatory.

I’m guessing shiny rocks that are hard to use would be your first choice. I did watch a video where that Visek guy said to get rid of the fed and back money with gold silver or something real. Considering how little Gold you get for your money and how hard it is to use I recommend silver in junk coins. More affordable for the average near broke person.
I also like BTC in a cold wallet used peer-to-peer. When the FED offers UBI it will suck in many people. It will become harder to buy things without using whatever CBDC the fed comes up with. Privacy and freedom are slipping away.
Personally I’ll stay with the shiny rocks over a wallet of nothing.

Gen Z’s parents should do the right thing for their children and dismember every member of the WEF.
Or they could try to retroactively raise their overgrown babies correctly.

Listen, WEF hears and sees what WEF wants to hear and see. Nothing about them or their policies indicate even the most rudimentary understanding of human nature or reality. The fart sniffing at Davos has reached levels previously unimagined.
I think the Gen Z’ers you know are atypical.
I don’t know the ratio, but I have also met a lot of impressive Gen Zer’s.
Plus, who made up those generational titles? Divider-conquerers.
How will petty criminals do in a CBDC world? I’m asking in all seriousness. While marijuana has been legalized almost everywhere, there are still illegal drugs. How will people get those? You could theorize a system of barter, but I don’t think most druggies could handle anything that complicated and I’m not sure dealers want a bunch of bottles of Tide. There is a segment of the population that prefers crime to work. Universal basic income could be one response from TPTB, but criminals don’t do crime just for the money. They do it for the excitement, the enjoyment of antisocial behavior, the street cred (reputation), etc. There’s a whole criminal economy that would have trouble integrating with CBDC – I would think. To some degree crime might go down, but criminals aren’t going to just become honorable people.
The System already incorporates petty crime.
Interesting…I think the WEF should be more worried about the older members of society who remember history…like, the reasons why we had firing squads, public hangings and guillotines.
They already have. When you buy a coffee with a swipe of your phone, how can you know what you have or what you are allowed to have? You don’t. You just accept whatever you are allowed.
Younger generations as a whole are dumbed down from gov. schools that don’t teach history or values of any kind. They trust politicians and climate/green agenda folks like Gates and Al gore, and will go along with anything they dictate. Few parents today insill values and critical thinking skills because they too were in gov. schools.
