Think About It

Guest Post by Jim Kunstler

“It’s not enough to be against globalism or the WEF, we have to also be for something better.”Tom Luongo, Gold, Goats ‘n Guns

Mr. Luongo makes an important point. I want you to think about this: there is a reason that the WEF-Globalist cabal is losing the battle to control and dominate the rest of us. They are trying to power straight into the opposing currents of reality. Above all, they seek to centralize power and decision-making. But the world is moving in the opposite direction. All of the WEF’s aims founder on the macro trends unspooling in history.

The rising rule for human affairs now is that anything organized at the giant scale is going to wobble and fail. There will not be any world government run by the creatures of Davos or Brussels, or Washington DC, or any other place that the grandiose imagine would be their seat of global power. It’s not going happen so you can stop worrying about it. But you’d better prepare for what is happening: everything in our world wants to get smaller, slower, finer, and more local. Anything that opposes these trends is pissing into the wind.

Since every activity we humans practice has to move in that direction, we are seeing colossal industries, institutions, and arrangements crack up: everything from national government to long-distance supply chains to giant retailing outfits to worldwide business networks to overgrown universities and high schools to transport matrices to metroplex cities to mega-farms to political parties.

Where the rot is probably greatest, but more veiled for the moment, is in the operations of organized capital, the banks and money systems, including financial markets. When these monsters blow, as they must, all the others will shake, rattle, and roll. They have to blow because the fuel tank is emptying.

American oil production may be at an all-time peak now at about 13-million barrels-a-day, but most of that — about 8-million — is shale oil, which is a manifestation of our tremendous debt roll-up since 2009. Now that we’re at the absolute limits of debt, we’re also at the limits of shale oil. The production of shale oil paralleled the accumulation of all that debt both in size and rate of increase, and as the debt goes bad — meaning, unpayable — the organized capital sector will blow and shale oil production will fall as sharply as it rose. It is also a fact that shale oil is subject to natural limits — we’re out of “sweet spots” to drill.

That’s America. Europe is way worse because aside from whatever oil is left in the North Sea (not much), Europe has no oil. Europe’s largest gas field — Groningen in the Netherlands — is scheduled to cease operations in October of this year. You all know what happened to the Nord Stream pipelines. And then Germany, in some psychotic fugue state, shut down its entire nuclear power industry, while France is just not replacing its nuke plants as they age-out. Europe is completely screwed. They won’t have anything we might call modern industry. In the meantime, the WEF is playing them like a flugelhorn, keeping them distracted with “green” politics, an unchecked immigrant invasion, and sexual confusion.

A lot of the same nuttery afflicts us in the USA, of course, but none of that alters the real macro trends. Our federal government is not really getting more powerful, it’s cracking up, starting from the very top, with a mentally incompetent president — the secret that everybody knows. Agencies like the DOJ and Homeland Security may seem more tyrannical for the moment, but they are actually breaking as institutions because in their lawlessness they’ve lost the trust of the people — and nothing is more fundamental to a civilized society than trust in the law. That’s what consent of the governed means.

So, the period of disorderly transition we’re in is not moving toward greater dominance by giants, but to the survival of the small and nimble. We will not see capital formation like the orgy of recent times; rather the vanishing of things falsely presumed to be capital, contraction not expansion. You’ll be struggling to identify and preserve real wealth, which you’ll find in unexpected places, like the friends you can count on, your reputation for honesty, your dependability, acquired skills, and your health, physical and psychological.

The WEF won’t be able to impose its Globalist nightmare of elite transhumanism and surveilled bug-eating serfs, and they know it now. They’re running scared. The vile Yuval Noah Harari has even said so publicly. The political figures and agents serving that cabal will be lucky if they are not hanged in the public squares. The political criminals here in America, the hoaxsters, the grifters, the seditionists, the Lawfare agents, the election fraudsters, know very well the looming danger of their prosecutions, and that’s exactly why the Democratic Party and its blob henchmen and flunkies are acting like desperate lunatics.

Expect: failed national governments, maybe even state governments; failed supply lines; failed electric supply, failed trucking, failed big box stores; failed supermarkets, failed giant companies; failed banks, failed investments, failed money, failed news orgs, failed airlines, failed car dealers, failed hospitals, failed colleges, and much more. But don’t discount human ingenuity and resourcefulness, our ability to work-around and reinvent systems for daily life, even if it’s on a downscaled and more modest level.

Expect rebuilt local economies from production to wholesale to retail. Expect smaller stores, fewer things to buy but much of it better quality. Expect a lot less long-distance travel but a lot more happening in your locality. Expect the rebirth of local culture — theaters, live music, news-sheets, dances — to replace all the canned entertainments we’re used to. Expect small private academies to rise to replace the shuttered central schools. Expect small, local clinics to appear from the ashes of the medical conglomerates. Expect Americans to return to churches as an organizing mechanism for community relations. Expect more formality and less slobbery in public. Expect all of us to feel a renewed sense of gratitude for being here instead of rage, resentment, and grievance, because it’s likely there will be far fewer of us around.

I’m not against globalism.
And I certainly am not against clearing out a few billions useless unhappy living eaters.
So many are living miserable existences because they have adopted habits and patterns which harm themselves and others.
When you try to convince them to stop ruining their life, they become angry with the one helping them.

So you support billionaires exterminating billions of unhappy people living in filth and squalor?
That is so cruel.
Far better to let them breed themselves into an even more desperate situation.
That’s what God does.
Let’s them breed themselves beyond what a given region of earth can support.
Pollute the shit out of it, and/or turn it into a desert.
Move to a new location.
Rinse.
Repeat.

Some humans are a fungal infection on the earth.
That they do not care if their actions harm self or others?
Is the mark for their destruction in my view.
TPTB already know who want to preserve this destructive system, and they will systematically remove all such impediments.

I choose to side with the earth.

Put an end to socialism, welfare, and all forms of charity handouts and Darwin will take care of the rest.
And before you all jump all over this, all politics is local, all community is local, and all help is local. Back when it was up to a community to support those in need, there were fewer needy as the community members knew who the slackers were and they got nothing. Those who setbacks and needed a helping hand received it. Community based charity helped people through tough times, it didn’t create an industry and generational dependence.

The Nine Rules for Humans is far more helpful than those hideous rules for the hideous hebrews.
Can you imagine?
They were so disgusting waaay back then they had to literally ban buggery.

Which the Benjamites fully ignored when they raped a concubine to death as their proxy prize to the man they had initially desired to rape.
Judges 19 was the confirmed breaking of the covenant.
All the Benjamites should have been put to the death.

Question of the day while I will soon be suffering global warming, seems we will get 11″to 18″(wet/cement) snow tonight and tomorrow,no big deal(just a pain in ass),New England and have wood stove/gennies/rechargable flashlights long run(40 hours)/lanterns,plenty of food including a slow cook roast with potatoes now that will reheat in easy bake oven easily(remember,I have gennies!).

My guess is the store shelves are bare of milk/bread and a child in line with mother is asking why are the buying cat food when they don’t have a cat!

What is it with bread and milk, you like enough feel you would already have plenty in the home!

Folks have known for days coming,WTH is wrong with people?!

Anyhow,to those in path of this have fun and assume those reading here are ready.

And as always,Prepper Cat is with ya’s!

James, we had our winter storm a few weeks ago, 8″ dry powdery snow with temps low single digits and one night -8, the coldest it has been here since I moved 40 years ago. I watch the weather forecast and bought what I needed several days before the storm was due, made sure the gennie would crank and topped off all gas tanks/cans. A daughter who lives in town said the store shelves were almost bare the day the storm was forecast to hit.

I, too, am amazed that people tend to stock up on bread, milk and eggs when storms are coming and the quantities they buy are ridiculous. I suspect a lot of spoilage for these folks with very little common sense.

Hope you weather the storm well, my friend. And watch out for all those cats. Keep them well fed so you don’t wake up some morning as cat food.

Insanely beautiful creature,
One of the myriad of God’s great creations.
People don’t believe in God because “Where are these miracles?”
Whelp, the miracles are all around you.

Do you have a wife or husband you love?
Miracle.
Do you have children you made together?
Miracle.
Do you have eyes? The unlikelyhood of vision in any creature defies everything “evolution” can explain.
Miracle.
Have you seen or heard something…anything that made you weep for nor apparent reason? Like art or music?
Miracle.
That fact you can contemplate what is a miracle is a miracle.

Breathe in the air and behold this magnificent animal and witness yet another miracle if you can.

When an entire civilization (being generous) exists on a heavily subsidized industrial base that meticulously maintains a thin-crust wonderland of escapism, comforts, and instant caloric density, the mundane yawns and stretches of mother nature open up fissures that drag whole people like melted cheese to the bottom of the oven as they wrestle the big questions of the day such as take-and-bake or delivery.

Beneath that thin crust is reality, with her cold indifference ready to sort out the density of skulls. And so it does not take much to thrust the porcine mollusks of modernity into an environment that might as well be outer space. It happens all the time. Suddenly for no reason at all, the tide goes out and the hungry gulls sing.

When I was but a kid doing rescue work almost every situation was not some lightning strike of misfortune dropped from the angry heavens but rather the meeting of the mundane in which the simple things of our natural world become massively complex, foreign, and thus dangerous to those who have left the bubble but failed to understand that there is even such a bubble and thus all of the subsequent decisions they are about to make actually increase the likelihood of self-cull.

The ganglion of media nodes tuned to run entirely on carbohydrate-encased industrial seed oils and THC that moves around most people cannot adjust to something as sudden as weather.

Every time I see a highway sign that reads “slippery when wet” I have to remind myself that the driver is totally dry and in a comfortable 72 degrees and at least 2 of his 7 cup holders are full of ENERGY.

Also, cat food needs salt. The wet stuff is the same price – or more than tuna. Which of course gives you ALZ from the heavy metals but thats a worry for tomorrow.

Expect all of us to feel a renewed sense of gratitude – instead of rage and resentment?

That’s probably the biggest crock of shit I’ve ever read by an author I respect. I will resent those who have destroyed the pillars of our society even after they are dead. The rage building in “all of us”, betrayed in so many ways by those we trusted, will morph into gratitude? I think not.

I am grateful for my blessings, even those that arise through hardship, but I doubt the future will let me celebrate them as I do today. Who, in Gaza, feels gratitude for anything in the midst of their complete destruction?

What I expect is WW III will bring their nightmare to everyone. The global unravelling that looms over our horizon will increase rage and resentment until every blessing is consumed in hellfire.

Giant organizations and cultures always fail due to terminal complexity. Eventually they get too big, too complicated, with so many patches about which no one can foresee the consequences, that they collapse. Our own culture would have succumbed already if it weren’t for computers and the internet. However, each have also added layers and layers of additional complexity. For example cell phones that facilitate crime, riot and insurrection. AI is our next attempt to control the complexity and stay ahead of collapse. The trend toward smaller is both an attempt to eliminate terminal complexity and a sign that some of complexities wheels are beginning to fall off.

Mr. K and I are contemporaries and native NYC boys from an era now shrouded by the mists of time. We also have in common serious misgivings that “America” will ever be “great” again in the way that once it was. Thirty years ago, I decided to seek greener pastures elsewhere and within four years of grinding capital accumulation was able to take my shot, believing that downsizing would eventually be the societal order of the day. The currency-capital pile has slowly but surely been converted into productive tangibles likely to maintain value for what remains of my life and likely to provide value to my children and grandchildren as well.

While I don’t foresee a “world made by hand,” I am convinced that a significant simplification in global economy and social structure is in the offing, perhaps quite soon, perhaps not, but sooner or later… What I do see along with Mr. K is an increasing localization and overall decentralization of the always-imaginary “global village” that has never been more than an interconnected agglomeration of hostile neighborhoods on steroids.

Choose your neighborhood wisely, be considered a good neighbor by fellow inhabitants and direct your economic endeavors inwardly. It may not be a foolproof plan, but it beats the bejeezus out of signing on to globalization.

A 25 year friend is running for Congress in my recently redrawn mostly rural district…there are 14 Republican Candidates.

Now I know the corruption of the Uni Party, but I also know this man well, and we know one another’s life story…and he is the real deal, and he has no – zero illusions about what he is stepping into.

My rural area has been part of the distant overwhelming local black and blue bubble the 12 years I have been living in what I call… ‘mark’s Last Stand’. Sign at the second gate under a high grade expensive camera and four motion lights expresses my attitude.

‘TRESPASSERS WILL BE COMPOSTED!’

So the long time Congress Critter since I have had here was a liberal black…and now the new redrawn district is mostly rural and he has retired…and I suspect now would have no chance.

I am doing what I can to get my friend the nomination in my town with my contacts, the owners of the Army Surplus Store and the owner of the Gun store who both are political and outspoken (I have been a serious customer of both) and hopeful their extensive customer base…and every person I know in this new district.

I had another friend try this 15 or so years ago in another district, I attended some of his team meetings, and submitted some possible speech lines, put out signs, went to the debates to support him, he was a man of similar high character, but he came in second out of three Republicans running for the nomination (that friend had very little $$$$)…and the winner lost to a long time liberal Democrat.

This friend has the $$$$ and it is all his own…If he gets the nod (if there even is an election) I will go all in for him…if he was to win, and the election actually is held (I have my doubts) I will know we will have one honest Congressman who will stand tall.

Hello my friend! Good luck to your pal! He’ll likely need it, more so if he wins, given the temper of the times.

Expect: failed national governments, maybe even state governments; failed supply lines; failed electric supply, failed trucking, failed big box stores; …

The more reason not to throw away those old shoes and boots. Even worn if they fit and ain’t “leaking” put ‘em in the bug out bag(s).

Freedom for all and government small enough to fit into a 10 x 10 office space (with ZERO POWER).

The second-to-last paragraph is the only one Kunstler will be correct on. I like his writings, but this one, he’s almost completely wrong.

The WEF-Globalist cabal is NOT losing the battle to control us – they are merely in a retreat and re-examining their plans to dominate us all, then they’ll come out with another alternative or sleight-of-hand plan.

They’ve gamed this over & over, and they won’t stop with their barrage until they achieve their goal.

There will be a world government, we just don’t know when.
Rev 13 (ESV)

5 And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months. 6 It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling,[a] that is, those who dwell in heaven. 7 Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them.[b] And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation, 8 and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain. 9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear:

10 If anyone is to be taken captive,
to captivity he goes;
if anyone is to be slain with the sword,
with the sword must he be slain.

Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.

Nah nah no Kunstler , ” The sweetspot “( I invoked it ,contemporarily, around here ) is that point between not enough and too damn much of something / anything that mankind seems never to be able to recognize . Nice write up other than that though, yeah , “Too big ( and complex ) {not} to fail “is what we have in the here and now because we didn’t ,and never do recognize” the sweetspot “when we are in it . Its just in our nature .Its also what I mean when I say ” well enough the hell alone ” as in, we shoulda , coulda, woulda ,but of course didnt leave it that way .
