I had a conversation with a truck driver picking up materials from one of my offices. He had backed the truck up to the door to load the office furniture I was having remove. The entire contents of his extended cube van were 6 PC’s another company was sending out for reclamation. When I saw how empty it was I struck up a conversation about work.
He said that his trucking company is now so slow he’s getting worried his boss will tell him one day not to come in next week. He was picking up the PC’s and my file cabinets to drive 1-1/2 hours down the road.
My own work is deader than I can ever recall during my entire tenure. Today for example I could have done into the office, logged in, then gone home only to return and log out at the end of the day and not missed a single call, email, or task. It’s been that way for weeks and I’m just about out of busy work to pretend. The trucker confirmed that every stop he makes is the same story.
We both laughed about how cooked the government numbers in this “best economy ever” really are. One of his theories was all the layabouts on unemployment are now falling off the unemployment rolls because they are timing out, not getting jobs. It was good to hear a total blue collar guy with a mullet not trusting any of the bullshit out of DC…or Orange Jesus either.

For a long time I thought we were heading towards a deflationary death spiral but I now think they’re going to collapse due to a hyperinflation scenario. The US can no longer export our inflation throughout the world because we don’t have world reserve currency status anymore. With the sanctions against Russia, the BRICS alliance, and the deflationary death spiral happening in China it’s a guarantee all the inflation we used to export is coming home. It’s already starting to show up in the DOW, S&P, and crypto markets. I’m expecting another mass wave of inflation sometime this summer. The only way a hyperinflation event won’t happen is if Congress greatly reduces government spending and we all know that’s not going to happen because if they did reduce spending it’d lead to a deflationary event.
At this point, congress could reduce spending to zero and still wouldn’t be able to ward off the baked-in hyperinflation event.
And you should not forecast a deflationary death spiral in China, based on tainted Western media info. Kyle Bass has been forecasting that for how many years now?

The 2024 premium increased from 1206 to 2330.
Even after finding a new carrier to insure the house, I had to find a way to pay an increase of 500+.
Starting next Feb., I will start looking for new homeowners because I know there will be an increase….again.
