The Roman Emperor who allegedly appointed his horse to the Roman Senate has long been a hallmark of arrogance. The US State Department has now exceeded it by declaring that Russian President Putin’s gift of a car to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un violated “international sanctions.” Washington’s sanctions are “international” sanctions that prohibit the President of Russia, an independent country, from giving a present to the leader of another independent country. There you have it. I wouldn’t be surprised if Washington were to tell Putin that brushing his teeth violates international sanctions.
Russia should never have honored such a charge with a reply. Instead, Putin should have given Kim Jong-un another car. But if a reply was made, it should have ridiculed Washington’s assumption that the US controlled Putin’s gift-giving. Instead, the usually astute Maria Zakharova fell into the trap and disputed that Russia had violated “international” sanctions, thus placing Russia on the defensive about the power Washington wields over Putin’s personal decisions.
Now the President of Russia has committed a new crime. He gave a present disapproved by Washington to another head of state.
What image does Washington’s attempt to micro-manage Putin’s personal behavior create of the United States? Is Washington going to further emphasize its impotence by imposing more ineffectual and pointless sanctions?
Will Washington ever stop making a fool of America?

Sometimes I think that the current crop of fools make these insane announcements in an attempt to get people to throw up their hands and think, “I just can’t listen to them anymore”. If enough people do that then they do pretty much as they want. Not that they’re not doing it now but I would really hate to see it put into overdrive. I’m convinced that we have insane people in charge in DC who are making the mistake of believing their own press clippings. This will be coming to a head very soon.

Under “International law” it is not Russia that has violated sanctions against doing trade with Russia (a logically absurd inversion), it is North Korea.
Yeah, good luck prosecuting that.

When one can no longer obtain nor maintain an erection yet wishes to be seen as robustly masculine in a public way one must make exhibitions representing strength.
This shit will continue until y’all citizens quit funding it with your income tax dollars. All who pay a federal tax are traitors and implicit in anything those national notes fund. And thats why it is written that, that shiny city on a hill, who the whole world did trade with and sought out its treasure has fallen, in an instant, in 1 single moment, and the world weeped and cried out that there was no longer a place that needed their trade and they invisioned their ruin. I always had a hard time understanding how this could take place in my lifetime, but after the events of the last few years in this nation, i expectantly await it everyday and doubt not that it can come anytime now.
