Diaper Report

Guest Post by Eric Peters

It has been four years since 15 days to stop the spread – and there are still people  wearing “masks.” We saw a sign on the window of an Uber car the other day that “masks” are required to get in the vehicle. There are still doctors who diaper. And try to get others to do it, too.

It is almost impossible to not see Diapered People – a few of them, at least – whenever you go out among people.

I remember the first time I saw a Diapered Person, around this time four years ago. I was at the coffee shop I used to regularly frequent, back when things were still more-or-less normal. That is, more-of-less sane, in the sense that it was then uncommon to see mentally deranged people within coffee shops and such and everyone pretending not to see them.

You generally saw them mumbling to themselves as they pawed through dumpsters in alleys in the not-so-great parts of town.

Then I saw my first one at the coffee shop.

I remember everyone noticing it, too. This being due to the oddness of it – in those Before Times. Then – and it seemed like it happened just-like-that – oddness became not only normal but expected.

Demanded.

The people who worked at the coffee shop where I’d become a regular – and who I thought I had established friendly relations with – suddenly became most unfriendly. A sign appeared by the entrance that “masks” were now “required.” I ignored this – believing and hoping that the shop’s owner had put the sign up because she was under duress and resented it as much as I did. I thought: Ok, she has to play along but doesn’t actually buy into this idiocy.

I quickly learned otherwise.

She – and her employees, people I’d gotten to know I thought pretty well – kicked me out of the shop because I would not play along. Along with almost everyone else. That latter being even sadder. Bad enough that so many small business owners played along; but I get that they were under duress. It is not easy to not play along when your business – one you have probably got everything you have tied up in – is threatened with being “locked down” for not playing along.

But the way almost everyone else – ordinary people – played along in the most embarrassingly Step n’ Fetchit manner imaginable – remains a harrowing revelation about the eager servility of the average American. Who – like Ned Beatty’s character in the infamous movie, Deliverance –  doesn’t want any trouble.

No matter what it costs them.

Almost everyone played along, as soon as they were told to. Overnight, it seemed, nine out of ten faces were Diapered, transforming people into faceless things – which was of course the point of the exercise. That and the self-degradation. People who lack self-respect being people who don’t want any trouble, like Ned in the movie.

And now we’re four years down the river – so to speak – and what was once something you saw only in alleys in the not-so-great parts of town can be seen practically everywhere. A wheel has turned. Things will never be what they were. Just as they have not been the same since that day in September, now almost a quarter-century ago. Each day that passes, the memory of what it was like before that day grows just a little dimmer in the minds of those who can still remember. Many cannot, because they were not around before that day. A whole generation (going on two) has been born and raised to young adulthood with no memory of what it was like to just go to an airport and fly – without seeing a single blue-shirted government goon. Without needing to show up an hour before your flight’s scheduled departure, in order to be processed by blue-shirted government goons. Without being ordered to take off your shoes and put them in a plastic tray, as if you were being processed into a federal prison. Without having to stand there while a blue-shirted government goon put his hands on your wife or your child.

For them, such debasements are as “normal” as it has become to be ordered by government goons to wear a seatbelt – a thing that earlier generations (who grew up being free not to wear them) resent for the same reason a grown man – in better times – resented being told by some busybody to eat his veggies.

And now it is “normal” to see people wearing “masks,” too. It is very difficult to go back to normal once such things have been normalized. How do you persuade a “masker” that the “mask” he was told was necessary no longer is? In order for him to believe it isn’t, he must acknowledge that it never was. And that would mean admitting he was not only lied to but that he believed it.

The ones you still see “masking” will never stop believing the lies they were told – because coming to terms with the truth is a bridge too far. It is safer to play-pretend.

Forever, if that’s what it takes.

I am a now, thankfully, retired RN. I was still working during the Zombie Apocalypse, excuse me covid pandemic,on a med-surg floor. Other coworkers were comforted by the mask mandate. They were upset when i questioned that feeling of safety. I asked them if they would still feel protected wearing that shitty paper mask in our TB negative pressure room? If not,how did they expect said shitty mask to filter out a virus thousands of times smaller? I filmed a smoker cousin blowing clouds of smoke through one of our masks. Showing that particular demo at work got me a friendly little visit to HR. Lies, even big lies, are not a threat to the powers that be. However,a little truth is NOT to be tolerated.

I was booted from Nextdoor for spreading “misinformation ” about covid and masks. After sending proof to them a year later showing my statements to be true, their response said it didn’t matter I was not eligible for reinstatement.

I live 100+ miles from you in West-by-God. We have a weekly outdoor flea market nearby and throughout the diaper epidemic most folks visited, chatted and traded without a mask. Dumb hillbillies in the minds of many. Our State motto is “Montani Semper Liberi”, “Mountaineers always free.”

I couldn’t resist when I saw a tall, healthy looking high school aged kid bagging groceries at Publix wearing a mask last week. I jokingly asked “what’s the mask for?” he didn’t respond just looking at me. I walked out laughing.

We had a new guy join our little pool (billiards) club about a month ago. I talked to him. socialized, ate lunch at his table, and so forth. This past Monday I realized this guy was kind of stupid, not my kind of guy — he thought Alaska was an island because that’s the way it’s always pictured on a map of the USA. Three weeks of my time wasted!

Now …. if he came in wearing a face mask, I would have known immediately that he was a dumb-ass, and would have avoided him like the plague. That’s what face masks are good for; saves you time and energy associating with dumb shits.

Young Black Utes with tattoos on their face is another such indicator. Tesla owners too.

Wife and I went out to get an ice cream cone today. Sunny, maybe 74 nice breeze, we sat there in town watching the people when all of a sudden some gender nutral older person slowly rode by on a bicycle with a blue paper mask on their face. It’s really rare to see stupid people in SC but they do exist.

Last week, at a meeting, I saw a black guy I hadn’t seen in a couple of years, wearing two masks. He walked in late, and I couldn’t help but stare at him instead of paying attention to what was being said.

Please give up on the juvenile “diaper” stuff. Not every thing that covers something is a diaper. A piece of cloth that covers the mouth is a mask.

A little off topic— I flew 2 weeks ago for the first time in forever. No one wearing masks (Burbank) but I got felt up by the TSA dyke. I’ve heard of it happening but am still speechless that it happened to me.

Ahh… an apropos quote comes to mind when thinking of the people that still mask.

“It’s easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.”

For others, there is no delineation to 4 years ago.
The change became noticeable decades ago.
For example, the only memories I have of flying commercial had no blue shirts and shoe trays.
When they started that shit, I quit flying commercial.
From prison lexicon, it’s called being “processed”.
Like the term “lockdown”, another prison lexicon.
Not something I will pay for.
I got my pilot’s license and never looked back.
I welcomed the mask mandate.
There was no type of mask mandated, just a mask.
I and many of my associates wore the popular lower skull neck gaiters pulled up over the nose.
With my old issue Sawflys, it was just like old times.
We never got grief, and surveillance cameras were less of a concern.
After the first 15 days, I smelled swindle (they didn’t do what they said, and it’s the government, after all).
Then the hokey shots.
And nobody’s responsible if the experimental shot is fucky.
It screamed swindle.
The less than critical thinkers rushed to get their shots.
Then those who could not stand behind their convictions (they had bills and shit).
What?
That family you have to feed won’t do so well when you vapor lock from clogged arteries.
No, they never thought that.
When they started screaming to round up the “hesitant”, I realized just how many of my neighbors would willingly load me on the proverbial train to Birkenau.
They identified themselves as my enemy, and remain so to this day.
As did the entire medical establishment that did not resist this bullshit.
Fortunately, in my state, they mandated that all health providers take the shot.
That means everybody still working in medical here is my enemy.
When they tried to mandate the shots, I remained unconcerned.
It would be pushed through by OSHA, for employers with 100 or more employees.
I’m self employed, and exempt from OSHA.
I took two weeks off, then went back to work.
When the governor dictated that construction workers were not essential, we ignored him.
I even got the exemption letter from the state that said I was essential.
In retrospect, the COVID scam was an excellent exercise in situational awareness.
Some of us just naturally oppose the system by gaming it.
I got free identification of all my real enemies.
And right when they started killing themselves.
And their children.
I’m good with the exercise. Almost pleased.
I wouldn’t have it any other way.
As to what I posted earlier on another thread about reality…
This reality is the same for everybody.
All that differs is perception.
I’ve read a lot on here from those that are angry about what happened.
About how people should be punished.
Their perception stems from their expectations.
My experience generated considerably darker expectations.
That mixed with my black humor creates a much lighter perception of the reality.
It hasn’t matched my expectations.
Yet.
For those that say never forget, bravo.
For them, I would recommend adjusting their perception of this reality and focusing more on the future and less on the past.
You can never go back to Kansas, Dorothy.
The perpetrators and enablers of this blatant scam have identified themselves as subhumans.
A prerequisite before unconcerned termination. Like one kills a rodent.
For many of the “hesitant”, that Rubicon has been crossed, and the ‘hesitancy’ derided of them earlier will no longer exist when it comes to mopping up this theater.
Many speak of good and evil, and refer to evil winning when good men do nothing.
They ignore that there are many men who are not good ,nor abjectly evil (most men are far better men than I), but brutal and anxious for a fight.
Those who are ‘evil’ (just fanatics, really) are excellent foes; they are fanatical in their fight.
And as subhumans, they can be pacified without second thought.
So never forget;

Your worst nightmares are another’s wildest dreams…

It reads like it was written by a highly polished writer having a few brandies.

I have ‘reticence’ tonight since I really don’t have much to say and am therefore reticent to say something typically banal, like the ten billionth FJB or some such.

But oh, on the masks, I saw through the scam immediately and as self-employed, jumped on their unemployment handouts, pocketing over $32k for nothing while having a two year paid vacation. I estimate I made over $1ok per hour filling out the forms online from the comfort of my home. [Kinda like the thieving plumbing company that was here for 20 minutes last week and charged me $345 to clear a drain = $1035/hour.] I told my boarder to stop paying rent. Then later on I applied for and got a $2500 business grant from the County to help my idled nanobusiness “recover” from COVID.

I was one of those people Trump complained about making more money on COVID unemployment than in their usual work, but hey Donny, it was you who launched Operation Warp Death, so blame yourself while you don a beanie and kiss the Wall of Genocide in worship to fiat counterfeiting.

The COVID era was the first time I really ate well since I had left home 42 years earlier. Affording enough food had been a constant struggle for decades. It was a huge lift.

So, COVID was very good to me, and the death shots even got rid of a huge bunch of my more distant cultural adversaries. Which reminds me, is Rob Reiner up to date on his boosters? He certainly cost me enough on tobacco taxes, soi I hope he dies as soon as possible.

I’m seeing an uptick in the number of diapered idiots on the streets of Georgia…alone in the car, windows rolled up and diaper on face. I try not to judge, but damn! They AIN’T making it easy.

No particular age or race group either. It all seems pretty random, which I suppose is to be expected.
