Basically Iran used missiles to strike those portions of Israel’s military that had been involved in bombing their embassy in Damascus and sent a bunch of slow drones that they knew wouldn’t make it through to deplete Israel’s Iron Dome missiles.

So no I don’t think Iran gets rescued by Russia and China and maybe US is less overt in its support (we pretend its just Israel and Russia and China stay home)……..But Iran pays a heavy price….the Iranian off-ramp by sending drone and not hypersonics doesn’t work.
If Iran loses their ability to ship oil, China has no use for them other than as a proxy to fight the US.
As for Taiwan, that 80 – 120 mile trip across open water would make for mighty inviting targets for Taiwan’s missiles and any subs that might be lurking in the deep. Taiwan’s first move would be against the closest Chinese ports, catching a lot of personnel and material sitting and waiting to be shipped in support of the invasion. It takes a lot of material to support an invasion and open sea is hard to defend.
And Taiwan is large and mountainous and the Chicoms haven’t had a fight in 40 years since Vietnam in 1979…….and they got mauled in that one. So I don’t think China will have either wanted to or be able to have a stand-up fight with the US to defend Iran and the Straits of Hormuz etc……even if they wanted to they couldn’t and like you say they probably don’t want to.

This was basically a scripted attack. It is now being reported that the US was in communication with Iran through 3rd parities telling them what the boundaries were to prevent retaliation. Apparently, Iran stayed within those boundaries and the US refused Israel’s requests to respond to the attack, and were told to back down.
This of course does not mean Israel will not do something in the future, as they are hell bent on bringing on the Apocalypses. It is crucial at this point for every American to contact their elected representatives and tell them that they do not support Israel and demand all military and financial support for Israel be ended.

— Israel has a limited amount of anti-missiles. How many/few do they have? I don’t know exactly. But, I do know this … it’s a helluva lot less than the many thousands of drones/missiles that Iran has. Also, a Patriot missile costs $1,000,000. Each. The Iron Dome ammo costs $100k each.
