STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND

“Thinking doesn’t pay. Just makes you discontented with what you see around you.”Robert A. Heinlein, Stranger in a Strange Land

“A hard, cold wisdom is required for goodness to accomplish good. Goodness without wisdom always accomplishes evil.” – Robert A. Heinlein, Stranger in a Strange Land

I guess I think too much, because I’m terribly discontented with what I see around me. There are millions of virtue signaling liberals in this country who actually believe they are doing good by supporting the invasion of our country by third worlders who don’t share our sense of morality, community, or civic obligation to future generations. They certainly do not display wisdom in this misguided belief these invaders will strengthen the social fabric of our country. Instead they display unmitigated ignorance regarding the fact these Soros imported mutts want to destroy the country we have worked so hard to create. Destruction, chaos, and civil discord is the goal of those unleashing this assault upon our ramparts.

Pep Talk on a Dark Day

Guest Post by Jim Kunstler

“We live in an age of full spectrum deception.”Edward Dowd

You realize, don’t you, that what’s going on in our country is the collapse not just of an empire, or an economy, but a comprehensive paradigm of human progress. The hallmark of post-war life in Western Civ was supposed to be a return to sanity after the mid-twentieth century fugue of mass psychotic violence. The wish for just and rational order was not entirely pretense. But that was then. Now that we are going medieval on ourselves, the not-so-ironic result will be our literally going medieval, sinking back into a pre-modern existence of darkness, superstition, and penury, grubbing for a mere subsistence in the shadow of scuffling hobgoblins, our achievements lost and forgotten.

Doug Casey on How Debt Jubilees Could Reshape Our Economy and Politics

Via International Man

International Man: Four thousand years ago, the rulers of ancient Babylon discovered a technique to stave off violent revolts.

Their solution was to enact widespread debt cancellation—a debt jubilee. Debt jubilees acted as a societal pressure release valve when there were no other options.

What’s your take on this concept and its relevance today?

Doug Casey: I’m opposed to debt jubilees. The reason is simple. One man’s liability is another man’s asset. If somebody owes money and defaults on the debt, it becomes a problem for the next person. A debt jubilee legitimizes the idea of defaulting on obligations that you voluntarily took on.

RECOGNIZE THE FALSE NARRATIVE & PREPARE ACCORDINGLY

Guest Post by Hardscrabble Farmer

Using the power of logic and being able to recognize patterns, what are we to discern about the events unfolding?

In order to fully grasp what is occurring you must first establish the progress of an idea or policy.

We didn’t get to free speech restrictions by happenstance or accident, it was planned.

Criticism of a specific group of people in the US was growing according to groups that track that kind of thing. They dislike the criticism yet cannot legally stop people beyond bullying, censoring, alienating, slander and similar tactics.

What to do?

The Verdict is In: The Amish Approach to Covid was Superior

Guest Post by

So why don’t our public health officials seem interested?

It could be one of the most important lessons learned for the next pandemic. And it should make international headlines.

But it seems like those who made the mistakes during Covid aren’t very interested.

The Amish population that largely rejected public health recommendations fared no worse in terms of health impact than the rest of the country that masked, isolated, and vaccinated. That’s according to available data and a federally-funded study that attempted to evaluate the Amish approach.

These findings imply the US could have avoided experimental vaccines that have serious side effects; and circumvented costly shutdowns that devastated the economy, travel, businesses, mental health, and education at the expense of trillions of US tax dollars.

Chaos Erupts At UCLA After Pro-Gaza Activists Refuse Entry To Non-Allied Students

Via ZeroHedge

It’s like the Seattle CHAZ encampment all over again.  Far-left activists have declared the UCLA campus a “liberated zone” and are refusing entry for many students not affiliated with the pro-Gaza protests.  They have erected barriers and placed guards, creating makeshift checkpoints which require a special wrist band in order to gain passage.

In other words, if you aren’t an “ally” then you don’t get to attend classes, or, if you’re lucky you are allowed to take a longer route around the barricades.  Keep in mind, this is not a protected form of protest or free speech, which explains why many college campuses have chosen to have protesters removed by police.  UCLA so far appears to be supporting the activists and has allowed them to take control.

Russia defends traditional values the West is abandoning

Via RT

The Western world has abandoned classical liberalism in favor of a new version defined by the rule of minorities and woke-ism, the Russian philosopher explained

The ever-growing anti-Russia sentiment in the West stems from the fact that Russia adheres to traditional values that Western “progressives” are trying to destroy, philosopher and political commentator Aleksandr Dugin said in an interview with journalist Tucker Carlson that was posted on the latter’s YouTube channel on Monday.

FREE SPEECH IN AMERICA WILL EITHER LIVE OR DIE BY THE END OF THESE COLLEGE PROTESTS

Editor’s Note: There’s something very BIG going on across the USA yet very few folks get it.  Not only that, but all of officialdom appears to be on the wrong side of history.

COLLEGE CAMPUSES ACROSS USA EXPLODE
AGAINST HORRIFIC GAZA GENOCIDE & ISRAEL’S NEVER-ENDING PALESTINIAN HOLOCAUST

Now, put all political positions and personal differences aside for just a moment and consider these two indisputable facts:

First, that the apartheid Zionist State of Israel has been perpetrating a full-blown genocide in Gaza since October 8, 2023.

Secondly, that every single US citizen has the First Amendment right to vigorously protest that genocide, especially when their tax dollars are directly funding it and it’s being carried out in the name of the American people.  (Once President Joe Biden (illegitimate POTUS, of course) and Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer all threw their full support to Israel’s war in Gaza and genocide of the Palestinian people, We the People have every right to protest such reprehensible and immoral support.)

Is the Public Ready for the Truth About COVID Vaccines?

Guest Post by Michael Nevradakis, Ph.D.

RealClear Health this month published an op-ed by Dr. Pierre Kory, president and chief medical officer of the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance, and journalist Mary Beth Pfeiffer that raised questions about COVID-19 vaccines and rising cancer rates. Is it a sign that mainstream media is finally ready to allow debate on the vaccines?

Are mainstream media and the public becoming more open to news and perspectives contradicting the establishment narrative on COVID-19, the vaccines and the prevailing public health policies of the past four years?

If so, can such incremental change eventually lead to a transformation in public attitudes?

The President Overtaking the Federal Reserve – BAD IDEA

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

I do not agree with Donald Trump’s view of the Federal Reserve. I speak on behalf of sound economic policies that benefit the people. I do not blindly support a political candidate for the sake of being on the right side. Now, I criticized Trump during his presidency for constantly pressuring the central bank to lower interest rates. There are rumors swirling that Trump, if elected, would set the price of interest rates himself without the advice of the Federal Reserve. While this may be an extreme side of the rumor, Trump and every other president would like more power over the Federal Reserve — BAD IDEA!

Will Russia Push the Button?

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

Dmitry Konstantinovich Kiselyov (born 1954) is the latest warning to the West to issue an ultimatum to the UK and the US. On Russian TV, Kiselyov warned that if a Western power deploys soldiers on the ground in Ukraine to ‘inflict a strategic defeat on Russia,’ it will result in Armageddon. Of course, what I find stunning is how the Western press characterizes him as “Vladimir Putin’s propagandist,” and the implication of those words is that they are not a real threat. The press takes NOTHING said from Russia seriously – it’s all a joke, just propaganda. As they said of Rome when it fell, the Romans were still laughing, watching the games to notice they had been invaded. Not a single journalist has any integrity, for they never consider when they are reading the American/European propaganda that what if they are sleepwalking society into nuclear war?

Fighting Monsters

Guest Post by CJ Hopkins

So, I gave a little speech about art, and war. The Internationale Agentur für Freiheit, a Berlin art and cultural association, asked me to do that to open their exhibition, Make Art Not War. I couldn’t turn them down.

As my readers may have noticed, I haven’t had very much to say about “The War on Hamas,” or “The War on Gaza,” or “The Liquidation of Gaza,” or whatever you want to call it. (It doesn’t look like much of a “war” to me, but then, nothing really has for quite a while.)

I wrote about it in October and November of last year. And I said a few things about it in my speech. But, mostly, I’ve been trying to keep my mouth shut. I don’t have much to contribute to the … well, I can’t really call it a discussion, or debate, or an argument. It feels like people screaming slogans into each other’s faces, accusing each other of this and that, and calling each other names, and so on. Which … I get why people are inclined to do that. I’m not. But I get why other folks are. So, I think it’s best if I just shut my pie hole (as much as possible) and let folks do that.

Cars Used to Make Us Happy

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

I attended a classic car show recently and realized why my generation was so happy compared to the current ones. Cars in those days were beautiful and the muscle car element had glorious sounds. Beginning in 1954 but especially with the advent of the 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air coup and Ford Fairlane coup you were looking at beauty enhanced by two-tone paint jobs. Some were a combination of pastels. Others were combinations of strong colors–red and black, yellow and black, red and white, and some were a combination of a strong color and a pastel–navy blue and French blue, pink and black.

In 1955 Chevrolet brought back the V-8 for its cars, and it was a performer. A stock ’55 Chevy V-8 was a match for our souped up 1950 Ford flatheads. What you could do to that 55 Chevy V-8 was something else.

Biden Considering Bringing Some Refugees From Gaza To The US

Via ZeroHedge

With scenes like this spreading across the country, as standoffs at various liberal campuses turn increasingly more violent…

… the Biden administration appears to have gotten its Soros marching orders to pour gasoline into the fire, with CBS reporting that the White House is considering bringing “certain Palestinians” to the U.S. as refugees, a move that would offer a permanent safe haven to some of those fleeing war-torn Gaza, and would also drastically escalate what has already been the 2024 equivalent of the 2020 BLM summer of violence, only this time with spoiled, rich Marxist kids pretending they live in the 1960s and their actions can stop the war in Vietnam Middle East.
