Born on the Fourth of July

In a flurry of hectic activity, the patient was brought in for emergency surgery.  She was very obese, wearing a rumpled frock the size of a red, white and blue tarp over her entire, engorged body.  A photo of the Statue of Liberty stretched out on the cloth above her sagging breasts over words written in a bold font, that said:  “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free”.

The doctor entered the room, arms raised, as the nurse assisted in sheathing his hands with disposable polymer gloves.

“What do we have here?” the doctor asked in a professional manner.

“Overweight female, difficulty breathing,” said the nurse.  Driver’s license says she was born July 4th, 1776.  Must be a misprint.”

“Well, judging by the looks of her, maybe she is over 240 years old”, replied the doctor with a sarcastic smirk.  “What does her blood work show?”

Know Your Enemy

by Uncola via TheBurningPlatform.com

In his inaugural address on January 20, 2017, President Donald J. Trump, once again, threw down the gauntlet before his political opponents.  In a declaration of war against a globalist establishment, he reiterated his love of country and his support for common Americans.  Just as during his presidential campaign, Trump promised to put America first on the way to making America great again:

We the citizens of America are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and restore its promise for all of our people. Together we will determine the course of America, and the world, for many, many years to come. We will face challenges. We will confront hardships, but we will get the job done.

For me, it was reminiscent of the same scorched earth strategy he exhibited during his speech at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner on October 20, 2016.  It appears Trump meant what he said during the campaign and, at this time, he is not acting as a typical politician who lied to get votes only then to change positions once elected into office.

From the very beginning of his speech, Trump identified the demarcation line; or the red line in the sand, that has separated the political establishment from average Americans over the past several decades:

Deep State Told Obama to Prevent Trump from Ending Cold War with Russia

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

The Obama Administration has deliberately created a cold war with Russia – it was not Russia who instigated this new cold war and I am not alone in saying this is far worse than the cold war John F. Kennedy faced. Obama has deliberated acted with sanctions and has the press hounding Trump so that if Trump tries to end the cold war and restore cooperation with Russia, they will say see, he is a Putin Manchurian Candidate. The press is in the came of Democrats and they are deliberately trying to assist those in the Obama Administration who were deliberately trying to create World War III. Remember detente? If you have to look up that word it means the easing of hostility or strained relations – not increasing tensions. What about Nixon opening up China to divide Russia from China? Obama has resurrected the China-Russia alliance. Remember Ronald Reagan – trust by verify? What happened to the idea of world peace?

Here’s How The Trump Presidency Will Play Out

Authored by Pepe Escobar via The Saker,

The Trump era starts now – with geopolitics and geoeconomics set for a series of imminent, unpredictable cliffhangers.

I have argued that Trump’s foreign policy guru Henry Kissinger’s strategy to deal with the formidable Eurasia integration trio – Russia, China and Iran – is a remixed Divide and Rule; seduce Russia away from its strategic partnership with China, while keep harassing the weakest link, Iran.

In fact that’s how it’s already playing out – as in the outbursts of selected members of Trump’s cabinet during their US Senate hearings. Factions of US Think Tankland, referring to Nixon’s China policy, which was designed by Kissinger, are also excited with the possibilities of containment regarding at least one of those powers “potentially arrayed against America”.

Kissinger and Dr. Zbig “Grand Chessboard” Brzezinski are the two foremost, self-described Western dalangs – puppet masters – in the geopolitical arena. In opposition to Kissinger, Obama’s foreign policy mentor Brzezinski, true to his Russophobia, proposes a Divide and Rule centered on seducing China.

Frenetic Freaks & Flakes Flirting With Fire

by Uncola via TheBurningPlatform.com

There is no doubt those who oppose Donald Trump are experiencing a great and collective cognitive dissonance as the 45th president begins his first term. In fact, in the days leading up to Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2017, the agitation was palpable as the haters mourned their crushed worldviews with a sense of abject finality as the inevitable day approached.

Thousands and thousands of Never Trumpers will soon retreat from Washington D.C. and return to their garrisons, ramparts, caves and citadel’s to strategize and perfect new ways of disrupting the body politic over the next four years. As they sharpen their spears and prepare for war, it would be beneficial for them to completely comprehend the depth of their bias and belief. Unfortunately, it won’t happen.

“When a true genius appears in the world, you may know him by this sign, that the dunces are all in confederacy against him.”

Jonathan Swift, Irish clergyman and satirist (1667-1745)

It happened on Friday the 13th, in January of 2017.  This was when civil rights icon, Congressman John Lewis of Georgia, labeled Donald J. Trump as an illegitimate president.  Resurrecting the spirit of the Montgomery Bus Boycott from over 60 years ago, Lewis announced his plans to boycott Trump’s inauguration.  In so doing, Lewis used his status as a civil rights leader, and as a U.S. congressman, to denounce the incoming president of the United States; challenge his right to lead; and impugn the will of approximately fifty percent of the American electorate.

Instead of swallowing the bait, however, and responding in kind to the seemingly racist attack by Lewis, President Elect, Donald Trump, used his Twitter account to legitimately question the shameful status of the congressman’s district in Georgia:

Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results.  All talk, talk, talk — no action or results. Sad!

To which the New York Times, and other mainstream media outlets, immediately skewered Trump and reported on his:

Trump’s Enemies See an Opening

Trump’s Enemies See an Opening

“Fake news!” roared Donald Trump, the work of “sick people.”

The president-elect was referring to a 35-page dossier of lurid details of his alleged sexual misconduct in Russia, worked up by a former British spy. A two-page summary of the 35 pages had been added to Trump’s briefing by the CIA and FBI — and then leaked to CNN.

This is “something that Nazi Germany would have done,” Trump said. Here, basically, is the story.

During the primaries, anti-Trump Republicans hired the ex-spy to do “oppo research” on Trump, i.e., to dig up dirt.

The spy contacted the Russians. They told him that Trump, at a Moscow hotel in 2013, had been engaged in depraved behavior, that they had the films to blackmail him, and that Trump’s aides had been colluding with them.

When Trump won the nomination, Democrats got the dossier and began shopping it around to the mainstream media. Some sought to substantiate the allegations. None could. So none of them published the charges.

In December, a British diplomat gave the dossier to Sen. John McCain, who personally turned it over to James Comey of the FBI.

Don’t Count On Trump Being Inaugurated

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

The Ruling Establishment Does Not Intend For Trump To Become President.

The latest “explosive” fake news is that “multiple US officials with direct knowledge” told CNN that they have “classified documents” that Russia has compromising documents on Trump that would allow them to blackmail the US President. The documents consist of memos compiled by a former British intelligence operative “whose past work US intelligence officials consider credible.”

According to antiwar.com “the dossier claimed several figures in the Trump campaign were in league with the Russian government during the campaign, and that Russia had been conspiring with them to groom Trump as an ally for ‘at least five years.’ It also claims exchanges of information between Trump and the Kremlin for ‘at least eight years,’ . . . The dossier names former Trump adviser Carter Page, his personal lawyer Michael Cohen, as well as incoming National Security Adviser Michael Flynn as having personally and repeatedly met with Kremlin officials on anti-Clinton leaks.”

Here Is The Full 35-Page Report Alleging Trump Was “Cultivated, Supported And Assisted” By Russia

Tyler Durden's picture

As reported moments ago, CNN is leading with a story about a 35-page dossier compiled by a former member of British intelligence, which had been distilled into a 2-page appendix presented to Trump last Friday by the US intel community, and which contains “explosive, but unverified, allegations” that the Russian government has been “cultivating, supporting and assisting” President-elect Donald Trump for at least 5 years and “endorsed by Putin” gained compromising information about him, with the aim of “encouraging splits and divisions in the western alliance.”

The memo has allegedly been circulating among elected officials, intelligence agents, and journalists for weeks.

The dossier, which is a collection of memos written over a period of months, “includes specific, unverified and potentially unverifiable allegations of contact between Trump aides and Russian operatives, and graphic claims of sexual acts documented by the Russians” according to Buzzfeed.

Of course, the question on everyone’s lips is what are these “unverified and potentially unverifiable allegations” contained in the memo. We now know the answer, courtesy of Buzzfeed which fill published the full document “so that Americans can make up their own minds about allegations about the president-elect that have circulated at the highest levels of the US government.”

Hollywood’s Screen of Lies

by Uncola via TheBurningPlatform.com

On Sunday, January 8, 2016, while waiting for the 10PM local news, I surfed through some channels and landed on NBC as the actress Meryl Streep was speaking.  It was during the Golden Globes and I caught the tail end of her speech after she won the Cecil B. DeMille Award.  This once-in-a-lifetime award is an honor conferred by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment”.

As Streep was speaking, she appeared to have had the entire room entranced, even moving some of the Hollywood stars in the audience to tears.  As the cameras panned over the brigade of befuddled, bespectacled, bearded and bare-legged clowns, you could see them overcome by raw emotion before Streep’s heartfelt words.  Paradoxically, her delivery was not meant to be comedic.  As I watched the scene unfold in complete disbelief, I thought to myself:  “This isn’t a parody.  It is real. It isn’t an act.  It is actually happening”.

Referring to President Elect Donald Trump, Streep said:

Putin ordered hack during elections – US intelligence report

The ODNI devoted seven pages to RT and its influence on the election “by serving as a platform for Kremlin messaging to Russian and international audiences.” The report claimed “Russian media made increasingly favorable comments about President-elect Trump as the 2016 US general and primary election campaigns progressed while consistently offering negative coverage of Secretary Clinton.”

A Case Study in the Creation of False News

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

For many weeks we have witnessed the extraordinary attack by the CIA and its assets in Congress and the media on Donald Trump’s election. In an unprecedented effort to delegitimize Trump’s election as the product of Russian interference in the election, the CIA, media, senators and representatives have consistently made wild accusations for which they have no evidence. The CIA’s message to Trump is clear: Get in line with our agenda, or we are going to mess you over.

It is clear that the CIA is warring against Trump. But the CIA’s media assets have turned the facts on their head and are blaming Trump for having a negative view of the CIA.

Consider the January 4 Wall Street Journal article by Damian Paletta and Julian E. Barnes, which begins: “President-elect Donald Trump, a harsh critic of U.S. intelligence agencies . . .” The two presstitutes set up their false news story by putting the shoe on the other foot. It is Trump who is the harsh critic rather than the victim of the CIA’s harsh accusations. Set up this way, the story continues:

“White House officials have been increasingly frustrated by Mr. Trump’s confrontations with intelligence officials. ‘It’s appalling,” the official said. “No president has ever taken on the CIA and come out looking good.’”

Now that the story is Trump taking on the CIA and not the CIA taking on Trump, the case can be built against Trump:

Grim Ghouls a Glibly Grinning

As Lee Benson stood before the building, he couldn’t resist tilting his head back to see if he could view the top floor that was lurking over 500 feet above him.  He narrowed his eyes slightly in the bluish, moonlit air and tried to focus his vision to the top of the dark tower rising before him like some dystopian monolith from a dark future.

“So this is TITANPOINTE”, he thought to himself.

Setting down his briefcase, he shrugged his shoulders to adjust his suit jacket and tighten his tie.  The gentleman who drove him from the field office at Federal Plaza, smiled and said:  “Is everything OK, sir?”

“Of course”, Benson replied, “But it is a little strange the first time you see it in person.  Especially at night”.

“What do you mean, sir?”

“The building.  Here we are in Manhattan after dark, and the building looks like a shadow. Out of place, ‘ya know?”

Obama & MSM are Anti-Slavic Russophobes

by Uncola for TheBurningPlatform.com

Russophobia (noun | Rus·so·pho·bia):  fear or dislike of Russia or Russian policy

                                              Merriam-webster.com

On Thursday, December 29, 2016, President Obama expelled 35 Russian diplomats in retaliation for alleged US election hacking.  The New York Times immediately cheered the retaliatory response by the Obama Administration as having “real teeth” while simultaneously acknowledging the actions as creating a problem for President Elect Donald Trump, who has rejected claims of Russia’s interference in the 2016 Presidential Election.

Obama’s recent measures appear to have been based upon a 13-page joint report from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) regarding alleged malicious cyber activity by the Russian civilian and Intelligence Services (RIS) under the code name of GRIZZLY STEPPE.

According to the top-of-the-page disclaimer on the Joint Analysis Report (JAR), the summary analysis was provided “as is” for “informational purposes only” and without “any warranties of any kind regarding any information contained within”.  However, this did not prevent Obama from taking executive action.

Assange To Hannity: “Our Source Is Not The Russian Government”

Tyler Durden's picture

It won’t be the first time Julian Assange was interviewed and asked whether the source of the hacked DNC and Podesta emails was Russia; however, it will be the first time everyone pays attention to his answer. Recall that the first such interview of Assange – when the question of who had sourced Wikileaks with the hacked emails came up – took place exactly two months ago, on November 3. Back then, in an interview televized by RT, John Pilger explicitly asked Asange where the emails in question had come from.

Assange’s response was straightforward: “The Clinton camp has been able to project a neo-McCarthyist hysteria that Russia is responsible for everything. Hillary Clinton has stated multiple times, falsely, that 17 US intelligence agencies had assessed that Russia was the source of our publications. That’s false – we can say that the Russian government is not the source.”

Can Trump and Putin Avert Cold War II?

Guest Post by Patrick J. Buchanan

Can Trump and Putin Avert Cold War II?

In retaliation for the hacking of John Podesta and the DNC, Barack Obama expelled 35 Russian diplomats and ordered closure of their country houses on Long Island and Maryland’s Eastern shore.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that 35 U.S. diplomats would be expelled. But Vladimir Putin stepped in, declined to retaliate at all, and invited the U.S. diplomats in Moscow and their children to the Christmas and New Year’s party at the Kremlin.

“A soft answer turneth away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger,” reads Proverbs 15:1. “Great move,” tweeted President-elect Trump, “I always knew he was very smart!”

Among our Russophobes, one can almost hear the gnashing of teeth.
