The Revenge of the Illusionists at the Whim of the Deluded

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

“Our impulses are being redirected. We are living in an artificially induced state of consciousness that resembles sleep… The poor and the underclass are growing. Racial justice and human rights are nonexistent. They have created a repressive society and we are their unwitting accomplices. Their intention to rule rests with the annihilation of consciousness. We have been lulled into a trance. They have made us indifferent to ourselves…, to others…, we are focused only on our own gain. Please understand they are safe as long as they are not discovered. That is their primary method of survival: To keep us asleep, keep us selfish, keep us sedated.”

– “They Live” (1988), John Carpenter, Universal Pictures, Release date: November 4, 1988

John Carpenter’s cult classic film “They Live” foreshadowed our current time in so many ways. The story told of disguised freaks appearing human while consolidating control over the upper echelons of society. To do this, they lulled the masses to sleep via advertising and materialism. The electronic media acted as a hypnotist’s watch on lethargic plebeians as they were cajoled into a dreamlike state, treated like puppets, and surveilled – by flying drones no less.

House Dems Unveil Surefire Plan To Get Trump Reelected

Via The Babylon Bee

WASHINGTON, D.C.—House Democrats today announced a new plan to ensure Trump wins the White House again in 2020.

“We hereby unveil these articles of impeachment, which clearly lay out the undeniable fact that we will not win the White House back next year,” said Rep. Jerry Nadler. “We have found Trump guilty of absolutely nothing, but we already started this whole process and it would look bad to back out now, so here we are.”

The War of the Narratives

Guest Post by Jim Kunstler

Note:  I will add an update on all this later today.

Fighting for its very life, the Resistance rolls out a last-ditch flanking maneuver today in its three-year war against reality as Rep. Adam Schiff’s House Intel Committee presents findings to Rep. Nadler’s Judiciary Committee for crimes as yet unspecified against Mr. Trump, possibly as grave as treason. Buyer beware. The Resistance always accuses its enemy of the very acts it commits — for instance, colluding with Russia, the primal deed that the guiding spirit of the Resistance, Mrs. Clinton, perpetrated in hiring Glenn Simpson’s Fusion GPS outfit and its star front-man, Christopher Steele, to consort with Russian disinformation agents injecting some helpful fantasy into the 2016 election.

Let the People Decide Trump’s Fate

Guest Post by Pat Buchanan

Let the People Decide Trump's Fate

How is it bribery for a president, responsible for seeing that the laws are faithfully executed, to insist that a regime dependent on U.S. aid investigate a conflict of interest and potential corruption when the enriched beneficiary is the son of the vice president of the USA?

Was there linkage between the withholding of U.S. military aid and the U.S. demand for a Ukrainian state investigation of the Bidens?

“Was there a quid pro quo?”

This question has bedeviled this city for months now. “The answer is yes,” said U.S. Ambassador to the EU Gordon Sondland in sworn testimony on Wednesday.

Sondland added that President Donald Trump, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, national security adviser John Bolton and Vice President Mike Pence were all wired in to what was up:

“They knew what we were doing and why. … Everyone was in the loop. It was no secret.”

Boots On The Ground: Days in the Life of an Average American Nobody

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

Up at 6:30 AM.  Showered, dressed, and cooking breakfast by 7:00 AM.  Eggs, toast, fruit, and coffee ingested. Boots on, and laced, and out the door by 7:35 AM.  Drove to the county seat and made two stops there.  Then off to the Department of Transportation (DOT) center located across town by a now near-empty shopping mall.

Slowed onto the highway off-ramp at approximately 10 AM.  While waiting at the stoplight at the bottom of the ramp, a woman was seated on a street meridian just ahead.  She was wearing blue jeans, a hat, mittens, a soiled winter coat, and holding a sign.  The sign was a petition for money and at the bottom, in red letters, it said:  “Any amount will help”.

Near the woman, in a perpendicular line of cars that were about to enter the on-ramp of the highway, an obese lady in a mini-van quickly searched her purse then handed some cash to the sign-holder.  As I drove off, I saw the porcine and smiling driver glowing with the satisfaction of having her sins self-atoned for that morning.  It was a beautiful act of virtue-signaling that I found ironic as I drove by a restaurant less than a block away with a help-wanted sign prominently displayed in its front window.

Personal Politics, Public Impeachment, Persuasion and Post-Apocalyptic Planning

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

One of my primary concerns regarding the forthcoming economic chaos and societal breakdown is that there will be nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. As normalcy bias evaporates like tears on dehydrated sunken cheeks, hungry neighbors and pre-collapse friends and acquaintances will soon assimilate into zombie hoards and come knocking like its Halloween.

What are you going to do? Shoot them?

Regardless, saying “I told you so” or “I tried to warn you, but you didn’t listen” will not be an effective deterrent. Furthermore, the resultant chaos will also deliver local strongmen and gangs ready to thieve and plunder amidst widespread violence and starvation.

In such a scenario, any lone bananas are sure to be skinned.

Are you ready?

The Latest False News on the Trump Impeachment

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

As the media are all out to get Trump, there is no way to get any valid information about the so-called impeachment. But you don’t have to pay too much attention to notice that the Democrats and the presstitutes are constantly changing the focus. The alleged whistleblower, who only had hearsay information, if that, has dropped out of the picture, being too compromised by his affliations and prior meetings with Adam Schiff during which the “whistleblowing” was planned as an attack on Trump.

Impeaching Trump to Shut Down the Government

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

The object of impeachment against Trump is to ensure that nothing gets done between now and 2021. How do you measure the true cost of impeaching the president? It is certainly not the dollars and cents involved in holding hearings, printing transcripts, or paying Congressional staffer salaries. The true cost is the politicians who were elected to do something, but do absolutely NOTHING.

Ukrainegate is the new Russiagate. The “whistleblower complaint” is the new “dirty dossier.” The ‘former’ MI6 spy Christopher Steele wrote the dossier. The current CIA spy Eric Ciaramella wrote the “complaint”:

Federal documents reveal that the 33-year-old Ciaramella, a registered Democrat held over from the Obama White House, previously worked with former Vice President Joe Biden and former CIA Director John Brennan, a vocal critic of Trump who helped initiate the Russia “collusion” investigation of the Trump campaign during the 2016 election.

Further, Ciaramella (pronounced char-a-MEL-ah) left his National Security Council posting in the White House’s West Wing in mid-2017 amid concerns about negative leaks to the media. He has since returned to CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.

‘He was accused of working against Trump and leaking against Trump,’ said a former NSC official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence matters.

Also, Ciaramella huddled for ‘guidance’ with the staff of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, including former colleagues also held over from the Obama era whom Schiff’s office had recently recruited from the NSC. Schiff is the lead prosecutor in the impeachment inquiry.

And Ciaramella worked with a Democratic National Committee operative who dug up dirt on the Trump campaign during the 2016 election, inviting her into the White House for meetings, former White House colleagues said. The operative, Alexandra Chalupa, a Ukrainian-American who supported Hillary Clinton, led an effort to link the Republican campaign to the Russian government. ‘He knows her. He had her in the White House,’ said one former co-worker, who requested anonymity to discuss the sensitive matter.

Doug Casey on Trump… and an Impending Civil War?

Via Casey Research

Chris’ note: Chris Reilly here, managing editor for Casey Daily Dispatch.

A couple of weeks ago, I flew out to Aspen, Colorado to catch up with legendary speculator and bestselling author Doug Casey.

It was a fantastic trip. I asked Doug about everything from technology… to the economy… and the resurgence of gold.

Doug also shared his thoughts on President Trump… and more importantly, what could be in store for America.

Like usual, Doug didn’t hold anything back. Today, I want to share our discussion with you…

Read on for this week’s special Conversations With Casey…

Chris: Doug, you predicted that Trump would win the election long before most people even thought he had a chance. Now, almost three years in, how would you rate his presidency?

Halloween is Over and the Jig is up

Guest Post by Jim Kunstler

Image result for impeachment trick or treat"

And so Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff take the Republic into a dangerous defile on a dark day as they engineer a House resolution with rules for a medieval-style inquiry on the existence of phantoms. The phantom du jour, of course, is the fabled “whistleblower,” a CIA ectoplasm identified by everybody and his uncle in Swampland as one Eric Ciarmarella, 33, a former Joe Biden staffer, Obama White House low-level NSC holdover, and John Brennan “asset” deeply involved in Ukrainian pranks during the 2016 election and subsequent disinformation leakage to the media since the early days of the Trump administration.

A Video Exposition: Quantum Theory, Waves, and the Bulbous Bow of Confusion

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

The “Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle” is a mathematical law of the universe involving “trade-offs”.  In fact, it could be summarized as the law of having your cake but not being able to eat it too.  Or, as applied for the sake of this article, it means either position or momentum can be measured at any given time, but not both simultaneously; at least not accurately.

I, personally, favor the rows or columns example of the Uncertainty Principle because of its simplicity in explaining Quantum Mechanics intuitively; if that were possible.  The point is when studying columns the definitions of the rows disappear, and when focusing on the rows the columns vanish.

Houses Approves Trump Impeachment Procedures

Via ZeroHedge

Update: Just before 11:30am ET, the House had enough votes – with 232 for and 196 against, largely along party lines, as Democrats Collin Peterson of Minn. and Jeff Van Drew of N.J. voted no, while Justin Amash voted for and four members not voting – to adopt the resolution that puts Trump on the path toward impeachment.

With the passage of this measure, Democrats will now begin public impeachment hearings to investigate whether Trump should ultimately be removed from office for pressuring Ukraine to investigate a political rival and other possible misdeeds. The closed depositions led by the Intelligence Committee will continue, along with probes in five other panels.

NSC Official Who Quit Ahead Of Today’s Impeachment Testimony Reportedly Witnessed Quid Pro Quo

A senior National Security Council (NSC) official and John Bolton ally who resigned ahead of today’s testimony with House impeachment investigators reportedly witnessed Trump ally Gordon Sondland convey a quid pro quo arrangement whereby nearly $400 million in US military aid to Ukraine in exchange hinged upon investigations into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
