Trump Stands His Ground on Putin

Trump Stands His Ground on Putin

“Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

Under the Constitution, these are the offenses for which presidents can be impeached.

And to hear our elites, Donald Trump is guilty of them all.

Trump’s refusal to challenge Vladimir Putin’s claim at Helsinki — that his GRU boys did not hack Hillary Clinton’s campaign — has been called treason, a refusal to do his sworn duty to protect and defend the United States, by a former director of the CIA.

Famed journalists and former high officials of the U.S. government have called Russia’s hacking of the DNC “an act of war” comparable to Pearl Harbor.

The Trump/Putin Summit Is the Worst Thing Ever Until the Next Worse Thing Ever

The Trump/Putin Summit Is the Worst Thing Ever Until the Next Worse Thing Ever

Here’s a secret everyone knows: this Trump/Russia/Treason thing is nonsense. The Russians will do whatever they can to destabilize our country, and have been trying since long before Teddy Kennedy actually did collude with the Reds against Ronald Reagan. Of course they want to destabilize us. They’re Russians. But now we are getting a ration of insanity about it from a bunch of people who only discovered that Ivan is bad news about the same time Stumbles McMyTurn lost. When they are yelling that Donald Trump’s press conference was (Pearl Harbor + 9/11) x 1,000,000, forget about raising any legit grievances with Trump’s performance. We’re not playing their game.

Mish: “Mass Hysteria”

Submitted by Mike ‘Mish’ Shedlock

My article Congratulations to President Trump for an Excellent Summit with Putin spawned numerous some I could not tell if they were sarcastic or not.

For example, reader Brian stated ” There is zero doubt now that Putin stole the election from Hillary. So much so that she MUST be given the nomination again in 2020. All potential challengers must step aside. To refuse her the 2020 nomination would be evidence of traitorous activities with Putin.”‘

I congratulated Brian for brilliant sarcasm but he piled on. It now seems he was serious.

Mainstream media, the Left an the Right were in general condemnation.

Numerous cries of treason emerged from the Left and the Right (see the above link)

Trump Calls Off Cold War II

Guest Post by Patrick J. Buchanan

Trump Calls Off Cold War II

Beginning his joint press conference with Vladimir Putin, President Trump declared that U.S. relations with Russia have “never been worse.”

He then added pointedly, that just changed “about four hours ago.”

It certainly did. With his remarks in Helsinki and at the NATO summit in Brussels, Trump has signaled a historic shift in U.S. foreign policy that may determine the future of this nation and the fate of his presidency.

He has rejected the fundamental premises of American foreign policy since the end of the Cold War and blamed our wretched relations with Russia, not on Vladimir Putin, but squarely on the U.S. establishment.

In a tweet prior to the meeting, Trump indicted the elites of both parties: “Our relationship with Russia has NEVER been worse thanks to many years of U.S. foolishness and stupidity and now, the Rigged Witch Hunt!”

Peace Talk Between Nuclear Superpowers Offends America’s Assholes And Morons

Guest Post by Caitlin Johnstone

When I was a little girl I used to end all my nightly prayers with the words, “And please no nuclear war, and peace on earth. Amen.” This was in the early eighties. The knowledge that weapons existed armed and ready which could annihilate all life on earth, including my Mum and my Dad and everyone I loved, kept me up at night.

I still marvel at the fact that these weapons exist, just as armed and just as ready, and we just go about our lives like it’s perfectly normal. They’re even more prone to malfunction than they were back then, because so many parts of the system are much older now. All it would take is something failing to work the way it’s meant to or somebody making a mistake or miscommunication that hadn’t been adequately anticipated and prepared for, and it could set into motion a chain of events from which there is no coming back. We’ve already come within a hair’s breadth of nuclear annihilation on more than one occasion due to such occurrances, and yet people still act like preventing that from ever happening isn’t the single most important priority for our entire species.

Trump Says Putin Not A Foe: “He’s A Competitor”

Via ZeroHedge

President Trump refused to answer if he views Russian President Vladimir Putin as a friend or foe, instead labeling him a “competitor” on the world stage ahead of the first official one-on-one summit between the two in Helsinki next week.

“I really can’t say right now. As far as I’m concerned, he’s a competitor,” Trump told reporters on his way out of the White House for a multi-leg European tour that will also include confrontations meetings with NATO leaders and also his first visit to the U.K as president. In fact, Trump suggested that his July 16 meeting with the Russian leader could be the easiest of the three, saying “frankly, Putin may be the easiest of them all.”

US Establishment In Hysterics That Trump-Putin Summit Might Succeed

Authored by Jim Jatras, op-ed via RT.com,

There are many reasons the bipartisan US establishment hates Trump. His heresies from neoliberal orthodoxies on immigration and trade are prominent. But top among them is his oft-stated intention to improve relations with Russia.

That’s fighting words for the Deep State and its mainstream media arm, for which demonizing Russia and its president Vladimir Putin is an obsession.

Two Views of the Putin/Trump Summit

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

The meeting that the Deep State strived to make impossible with fabricated “Russiagate” assertions and an orchestrated “investigation” by Mueller has now been set in place by no less than Deep State neocon operative John Bolton. Patrick Lang explains how this came about: https://russia-insider.com/en/politics/stroke-brilliance-trump-has-made-bolton-his-point-man-putin-summit/ri23950

Many see benefits from the Putin/Trump meeting. For example: https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2018/06/25/these-are-benefits-of-us-russia-summit.html

Putin himself sees benefits in the meeting as does Trump. Putin sees hope of improving relations between the two governments. Of course, the “strained relations” are entirely due to Washington, which has demonized both Russia and Putin with false accusations and hostile acts such as illegal sanctions. It was miscalculation for Washington to expect Russia to give up its Black Sea naval base to Washington’s coup in Ukraine.
