So the latest threat to global security we’re supposed to believe is cybercrime from North Korea involving Bitcoin.
There is a new report from the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies (RUSI) called Closing the Crypto Gap: Guidance for Countering North Korean Cryptocurrency Activity in Southeast Asia.
It’s important stuff apparently. Because it’s all over the news feeds. All the major MSM outlets are covering this story by doing what they always do, quote the executive summary and dress it up as journalism.

At least 6 shot, including 2 kids, in drive-by at family gathering in Englewood
At least six people were wounded, including an 8-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl, in a drive-by shooting Saturday evening on the South Side that happened while a family was celebrating the upcoming birth of a child.
Gunfire erupted at 6:21 p.m. outside the gathering in the 6300 block of South Seeley in the Englewood neighborhood, according to Chicago police. The shots were fired from a red Chevrolet Equinox.

Nation Awaits Apology From Media That Pushed Fake News Story For Two Years
U.S.—According to sources from all across the country, the nation is still waiting for an apology for the media that pushed a fake news story connecting Donald Trump to Russia for two full years.
While those who supported Donald Trump were understandably a touch upset that they’ve been called Russian bots and Putin’s puppets for years now, they reported they were certain that an apology would be coming shortly from the press that pushed the story every time they got a chance, regardless of the evidence.
“Any second now,” one Trump supporter in Texas told reporters. “I’m absolutely confident that the press will own up to their errors and vow to learn from these mistakes. I mean, it’s not like they’ll just brush this all under the rug, move the goalposts, or somehow spin this into being our fault.”

Last week, the German publication Der Spiegel was forced to fire its star performer, when it was revealed he was a fabulist. Claas Relotius had written for the publication for close to a decade. He had been handed several awards by other media organs. His exposure as a serial fabricator was the result of his piece on the small town of Fergus Falls Minnesota, after the 2016 election. The thrust of his story was that rural America voted for Trump, because it is full of xenophobic weirdos and economic losers.

Whenever it’s convenient for the loose alliance of western plutocrats, the political establishment those plutocrats own and operate, and the secretive government agencies with which they are allied, the plutocratic media tell the truth to the extent that it advances plutocratic agendas. But only telling the truth when it suits one’s agendas is the same as lying constantly.

Gallup Shows How Much Americans Really Care About The “Situation With Russia”
While ever-hope-filled expectations among the left are for a ‘blue wave’ in the Mid-term elections, we suspect things may not turn out quite as planned given the last week’s “crisis”. Even before President Trump had set foot in Helsinki, the left and the media were banging the drums of war against “the thug” Putin and how he would trump Trump, and once the press conference furore was over, all hell broke loose as the left-leaning world attempted to out-signal one another’s virtue as to the “treasonous”, “surrender” that had occurred.
So much so – in fact – that the internet became ‘full’ of “Trump” and “Treason” chatter – more so even than when he joked in July 2016 about Russia having Hillary’s missing 30,000 emails.
Once again – the “Russia, Russia, Russia” cries drowned out any sane discussion of the end of cold war 2.0.

Mish: “Mass Hysteria”

My article Congratulations to President Trump for an Excellent Summit with Putin spawned numerous some I could not tell if they were sarcastic or not.
For example, reader Brian stated ” There is zero doubt now that Putin stole the election from Hillary. So much so that she MUST be given the nomination again in 2020. All potential challengers must step aside. To refuse her the 2020 nomination would be evidence of traitorous activities with Putin.”‘
I congratulated Brian for brilliant sarcasm but he piled on. It now seems he was serious.
Mainstream media, the Left an the Right were in general condemnation.
Numerous cries of treason emerged from the Left and the Right (see the above link)
‘Go back to your country!’: Black Woman Arrested for Beating 92-year-old Man with Brick
A middle-age woman has been arrested for beating an elderly man with a brick.
The assault happened in South Los Angeles on July 4th, after 92-year-old Rodolfo Rodriguez was said to have bumped into a young girl who was walking with 30-year-old Laquisha Jones at around 8pm.
Rodriguez fell unconscious when Jones reportedly struck him from behind with a piece of concrete.
A neighbor of Rodriguez, Misbel Borjas, was driving by when she says she saw Jones push him down and start beating him.
Borjas claims she heard Jones tell Rodriguez, “Go back to your country,” or, “Go back to Mexico.”
“It was racist,” Borjas described.

It appears every president finds the religion of false economic narrative once they ascend to power. Trump never stops babbling and tweeting about the fantastic economy and raging jobs market since his election. He has embraced the stock market bubble as proof of his brilliant leadership, rather than the tens of trillions in debt propping up the most overvalued market in world history. Every president takes credit for any good news, spins bad news as good news, or blames the previous president for bad news that can’t be denied. The president has absolutely zero impact on the economy or stock market over the short term. It’s like taking credit for the sun rising in the east each morning.
The Big Lie method works wonders when you have a willfully ignorant, mathematically challenged, easily manipulated populace. I spent the entire Obama presidency obliterating the fake economic data perpetuated by his BLS, BEA and every other government agency trying to paint a rosy economic picture. I voted for Trump because the thought of Crooked Hillary as the president made me ill. Despite disagreeing with many of his economic, budgetary, and military policies during his first year in office, I’d vote for him again over Hillary in an instant. The thought of having that evil shrew running the country gives me chills.
