What a great rant! He is exactly right. The establishment doesn’t like independent thinkers because these are the thinkers that ask why. What happened to common sense and integrity? Our Founding Fathers believed it was their duty and calling to be in government. They didn’t get paid shit for their services. Compare the situation then to today’s environment. Every politician is figuring out how much money they can make by ripping off the American people. I think it is fair that if our politicians truly feel that their best interest is in serving the People, they should be be fine with a flat salary of $ 40,000. The only REAL Congressman is Ron Paul. Not too mention, he is the only independent thinker. No wonder he is so unfavorable by his constituents.
Hell yes I do, is it not obvious the complete system is hopelessly broken? Like we can ever vote in anyone that can stop this train wreck bearing down on the world. Do you really think Ron Paul wouldn’t resemble JFK if he really tried to take the power of money creation away from the International bankers called the FED? Am I alone in the dark here?
Note the 2 key words from this video: “… critical thinking…”
That’s what missing in 99% of the population.
If you can think critically you always know what’s going on, what will likely happen, why things happen, and what to do about it. Carlin can. Roubini can.
Even if you do not belong to the critical thinkers, ability to think smartly is often more than good enough.
But high mental powers and abilities do not equate critical thinking. Because many smart people are subservient to other people, to ideologies, to ego, ambition, even hubris. Virtually all of America’s most elite, powerful, wealthy, belong to this class.
To be a critical thinker you must also be an independent thinker. Independent of all the confusions, contradictions, propaganda, tricks, that’s all around you.
A critical thinker does not need to worship ideologies, or to follow other thinkers such as Ron Paul.
They don’t give a fuck about us? I would never have guess from the government doing a $36 M program to program to train workers, including 3,000 specialists in IT and related functions, in South Asia. The US is helping to offshore jobs!
