The “winners” are picked before the fucking ballots are even printed.

I’m with Stucky here.

As long as free shitters can vote themselves more largess from the public teat, oops, treasury, we are doomed.

My new “hobby” is fucking with all the political campaigns that call my house. I give the most outrageous opinions possible and end the conversation with “Have a Blessed Day and May Harmony Find You!”.

It is as much fun as you can have with your clothes still on.

This is surely one of the most appalling charts of all time, right up there w/the classic that depicts Napoleon’s disastrous retreat from Russia.

It was drawn by a brilliant engineer, Charles Joseph Minard, who went on to develop the science of informational graphics. “Minard was a pioneer of the use of graphics in engineering and statistics.”

1)- “EVERY VOTE COUNTS” —— Stop the bullshit. No, it does not!! NOT ONE Presidential Election was EVER determined by a single vote. And it gets much worse. A 2001 National Bureau of Economic Research paper by economists Casey Mulligan and Charles Hunter looked at congressional and state legislative races dating back to 1898 …. examining 40,000 state legislative elections ……. encompassing about 1 billion votes cast …… and ONLY SEVEN were decided by a single vote. YOUR individual vote does NOT count.

2)- “IT’S YOUR DUTY TO VOTE!” —- Bullshit. According to whom, or what document?? In fact, in the First Election women, Kneegrows, and others were not even allowed to vote. So much for “duty”. Quite the opposite. Encouraging dumfuks to vote is not just pointless …. it is MORALLY WRONG. Suppose there is a large segment of the population who will automatically vote for a guy for no other reason than the candidate has a funny looking mustache …. even though the candidate openly advocates for genocide against his opposition if he wins. Encouraging the “get out the vote” to these mustache-voters is morally abhorrent.

3)- ‘IF YOU DON’T VOTE, YOU CAN’T COMPLAIN’ ———- Why don’t you and your Election Day clichés go fuck yourself. The “right” to complain is totally unrelated to any hypothetical duty to vote.

“The 4 Boneheaded Biases of Stupid Voters”

“Almost all the “respectable” economic theories of politics begin by assuming that the typical citizen understands economics and votes accordingly—at least on average.”

” …. four families of beliefs stand out: 1) the anti-market bias, 2) the anti-foreign bias, 3) the make-work bias, and, 4) the pessimistic bias.”

Low information voters (Millennials, Mexicans, minorities) voted Obama into office (twice), an imbecile that’s never even run a lemonade stand. And they’ll vote Hillary into office, if we’re still solvent by then.

Research has clearly shown that we live in an Oligarchy, not a democracy. You can’t vote for Oligarchs, they appoint themselves, the criminals in Washington are merely their hand-servants.

Voting is bullshit bb ’cause no matter what its used as a ‘mandate from the people’…..if nobody voted – they ain’t going away. The bullshit use of power is predetermined, regardless of the will of the people.

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb deciding what’s for lunch, liberty is well-armed lamb contesting the vote. Franklin, of course. But my favorite as it relates to this bullshit du jour is…….

When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.

A specter is haunting Europe and Western world — it is this time, the specter of fascism. It came quietly, without great fanfare and parades, without raised hands and loud shouts. But it came, or it returned, as it has always been present in this culture, one that has, for centuries, been enslaving our entire planet.

As was in Nazi Germany, resistance to the fascist empire is again given an unsavory name: terrorism. Partisans and patriots, resistance fighters – all of them were and have always been defined by fascist bigots as terrorists.

By the logic of Empire, to murder millions of men, women and children in all corners of the world abroad is considered legitimate and patriotic, but to defend one’s motherland was and is a sign of extremism.

German Nazis and Italian Fascists defined their rule as ‘democratic’, and so does this Empire. The British and French empires that exterminated tens of millions of people all over the world, always promoted themselves as ‘democracies’.

And now, once again, we are witnessing a tremendous onslaught by the business-political-imperialist Western apparatus, destabilizing or directly destroying entire nations, overthrowing governments and bombing ‘rebellious’ states into the ground.

All this is done in the name of democracy, in the name of freedom.

An unelected monster, as it has done for centuries, is playing with the world, torturing some, and plundering others, or both.

The West, in a final act of arrogance, has somehow confused itself with its own concept of God. It has decided that it has the full right to shape the planet, to punish and to reward, to destroy and rebuild as it wishes.

This horrible wave of terror unleashed against our planet, is justified by an increasingly meaningless but fanatically defended dogma, symbolized by a box (made of card or wood, usually), and masses of people sticking pieces of paper into the opening on the top of that box.

This is the altar of Western ideological fundamentalism. This is a supreme idiocy that cannot be questioned, as it guarantees the status quo for ruling elites and business interests, an absurdity that justifies all crimes, all lies and all madness.

This sacrificial altar is called, Democracy, in direct mockery to what the term symbolizes in its original, Greek, language.

***

In our latest book, “On Western Terrorism – from Hiroshima to Drone Warfare”, Noam Chomsky commented on the ‘democratic’ process in the Western world:

“The goal of elections now is to undermine democracy. They are run by the public relations industry and they’re certainly not trying to create informed voters who’ll make rational choices. They are trying to delude people into making irrational choices. The same techniques that are used to undermine markets are used to undermine democracy. It’s one of the major industries in the country and its basic workings are invisible.”

But what is it that really signifies this ‘sacred’ word, this almost religious term, and this pinnacle of Western demagogy? We hear it everywhere. We are ready to sacrifice millions of lives (not ours of course, at least not yet, but definitely lives of the others) in the name of it.

Democracy!

All those grand slogans and propaganda! Last year I visited Pyongyang, but I have to testify that North Koreans are not as good at slogans as the Western propagandists are.

“In the name of freedom and democracy!” Hundreds of millions tons of bombs fell from the sky on the Laotian, Cambodian and Vietnamese countryside… bodies were burned by napalm, mutilated by spectacular explosions.

“Defending democracy!” Children were raped in front of their parents in Central America, men and women machine-gunned down by death squads that had been trained in military bases in the United States of America.

“Civilizing the world and spreading democracy!” That has always been a European slogan, their ‘stuff to do’, and a way of showing their great civilization to others. Amputating hands of Congolese people, murdering around ten million of them, and many more in Namibia, East Africa, West Africa and Algiers; gassing people of the Middle East (“I am strongly in favour of using poisonous gas against uncivilised tribes”, to borrow from the colorful lexicon of (Sir) Winston Churchill).

So what is it really? Who is it, that strange lady with an axe in her hand and with a covered face – the lady whose name is Democracy?

I don’t believe in politics in the same way I don’t believe in Santa Claus. Its a marketing tool to keep the people at the controls in place. If it worked there would be some evidence of it, but so far the best defense I have heard is “the government is just incompetent” as opposed to being a satanic criminal cabal-and there is nothing but evidence of that.

Participating in a “democracy” is like getting a gift from Santa as an adult and believing that it is actually from Santa. Sad.

“If elections don’t matter then the only other alternative is civil war.” ———– bb

As much as it pains me to say this — bb almost got it right.

Civil war is one answer, another one is military rule.

This past few days Thailand was heading towards civil war. In an attempt to prevent civil war the army stepped in and took control of the country.

The army has closed the TV stations. Fortunately we still have internet BUT the international news networks don’t really have access to any details of what is happening either.

The short version of what this is about. Poor farmers (the majority) elect corrupt governments. The educated working class (minority) know this is wrong and have been protesting for several months.

My favorite line from all this. John Kerry says that the coup was unjustified and should return to an elected democracy. Does anyone actually believe Mr. Ketchup knows what is best for Thailand?

People should vote for their favorite Republican or Democrat candidate in every election. Remember that every vote counts.

Don’t throw away your vote on a third party candidate Keep the major parties and the best people in power.

Sure , casting a recorded vote in support of the modern corporate state indicates you’re a obedient plebeian and thus will be passed over during FEMA’s first round-up of the non-compliant and overtly malcontent.
A vote for more statism is a vote to prolong your pretended freedom.Vote for more freedom.

I live in a state that voted 61% for Obama, I’m quite sure my Ron Paul write in did not count for much. Just out of curiosity I looked at the % for many of the poorer cities Brockton, Lawrence, Fall River consistently over 80% for Obama. Here in Massachusetts the FSA votes early and often for the entity that writes their monthly stipend, feeds and clothes them. I hate to sound hopeless, but the FSA has won and while it is true an enormous % chose not to vote for either candidate the Obama supporters will continue to scream that they have a mandate.
