Does a president of the U.S. have “Commander-in-Chief” title and status if Congress has not declared war?
This is a debatable issue. According to the Constitution:
“Section 2. Clause 1. The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Office, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.”
The key phrase above is “when called into the actual Service of the United States”. Only Congress can “call into actual Service” by formal declaration of war.
“There’s a lot of confusion, on right and left alike, regarding the president’s war powers under the Constitution. Here’s an overview of the most common claims on behalf of such powers, along with replies to these claims.

Bowe Bergdahl for five captured Taliban commanders, which Democratic strategists are comparing to trading General George Patton for five taxi drivers, President Obama went them one better and swapped all remaining Guantanamo detainees for a bag of magic beans. “These beans are valuable, and we can’t have Taliban leaders away from their units for very long” Obama said “The need to be fighting the corrupt Americans in Afghanistan, where they belong”. Obama further encouraged more soldiers to desert their units and join the Taliban, and “spread the wealth around” about their military knowledge and know-how.

The US entered Afghanistan in 2001. Bergdahl enlisted in 2008. We had had elections in 2002, 2004 and 2006 before he enlisted. Hell, 2006 was the year the Dems routed the Repubs in large part due to revulsion over the wars. It was two years LATER that Bergdahl volunteered. He wasn’t drafted. Any crowing about “Bush’s wars” is bullshit – as it relates to Bergdahl. Cripes, while Bergdahl was volunteering Obama was defeating Hillary for the nomination – using the wars as a cudgel. 2009 was a fine time indeed for Bergdahl to have qualms about the US action in Afghanistan. The guy is a piece of shit – as is his freak show father.

Yet on top of that, Obama showcases and grandstands his overt Islamic Jihad in the Rose Garden before the cameras and microphones, grinning and embracing Bergdahl’s bearded Taliban-agent father, Robert, as the older Bergdahl recites, in Arabic, the Islamic war victory chant, and exults in the wholesale defeat of the United States–achieved, partly, by strategically sending his stealth rat son into and among the ranks of our armed forces, for the very purpose of defecting and eventually leveraging the release of Taliban commanders.
Contrary to the administration’s, and Bergdahl’s, false statements, Bergdahl was not “captured while lagging behind on patrol.” Nor did he “serve with honor and distinction,” as claimed by notorious Obama administration liar Susan Rice.
There is no question that the younger Bergdahl committed the crime (punishable by death) of desertion. Blatantly anti-American emails between Bergdahl and his father, discussing his desire to do so mere days and hours prior to his disappearance, prove it. The troops with whom he was deployed have gone public with the slam-dunk case that he deserted, and the Pentagon even acknowledged it as far back as 2010. Furthermore, irate members of the intelligence community are coming forward and describing that our government’s secret file on Bergdahl (officially sealed until 2019) confirms that Bergdahl joined the Taliban as a sympathizer and collaborator.
So why has the the Army been awarding Private Bergdahl scheduled promotions to Sergeant and Staff Sergeant in absentia, when it is plain and clear that he went AWOL of his own choice, and apparent that he helped the enemy to kill his former fellow troops? Too many of us know the disturbing answer: Obama has purged our military of patriotic leaders, and has achieved an anti-American coup throughout the Department of Defense and all levels of government administration.
Bergdahl’s former unit members have described how, prior to Bergdahl abandoning his post, he went to lengths to obtain information and understanding of the terrain layouts and hidden “avenue of approach” vulnerabilities surrounding his unit’s base of operations, making topographical studies and range maps beyond that normally required and sought by someone merely adhering to his duties as a sentry and soldier. Bergdahl gave every indication to his platoonmates that he was planning to go outside the wire, to “go native,” and seek a life among the region’s inhabitants. He was reported to have specifically sought out the local Taliban, to replace his U.S. Army company as his new comrades-in-arms, adhering to them.
Later, after Bergdahl went AWOL, the base was successfully attacked by Taliban forces exploiting those very same hidden vulnerabilities, and our troops were exposed to far more enemy action and suffered numerous more casualties as a direct result of Bergdahl’s defection–especially the massive searching for him that was ordered by the higher-ups, and the general heightening of activity in that area of operations.
Instead of being a triumphant Trojan trophy in Obama’s engineering of the defeat of America, the traitor bastard Bergdahl should have been left to die among his new friends under whatever conditions, and the top Taliban detainees at GITMO should have been executed by firing squad long ago for their role in harboring Osama Bin Laden and the planners/hijackers of September 11th, 2001.
Mere impeachment and removal from office is not nearly enough. Barack Hussein Obama (along with Taliban operative Robert Bergdahl, with his campaign of jihad Tweets) should also be tried, convicted, and given the penalty for high treason against the United States. Quote me on that.

Losing the ability to speak one’s Native Language is called language attrition.
Studies have shown that even children in their teens can lose the ability to speak their native language … if they never use it again. My mother spoke German and Serbian equally fluently until her early teens, then once in Austria she never spoke Serbian again, and today she wouldn’t even know how to say “How are you.”
I don’t know of any cases where adults lose access to their native language — (not counting brain injury, disease, etc.). By adulthood primary language is deeply rooted in long-term memory. So, Bergdahl, imho, is full of shit.

State Department’s Senior Twitterer, Jen Psaki, preempted any hostile criticism by Tweeting that the idea of growing large beanstalks around the White House has nothing to do with making it difficult to see what’s going on inside, nor is it an attempt to distract attention from alleged “scandals,” such as, the VA and Benghazi. “If anything, President Obama does not give himself enough credit for all his accomplishments in the last five years. He doesn’t need magic plants to hide his successes from the public,” Psaki Tweeted. Psaki dismissed allegations of treason, saying “the Taliban and Al Qeada are misunderstood, they’ve been downtrodden and abused by Bush, and they are entitled to have both their leaders back, and deserters from the US military instructing and supplying them”.
UN Ambassador Susan Rice led the Administration’s effort to sell the transaction to TV viewers, telling a Sunday cooking show that “magic beans can be served with honor and distinction, especially with a main dish of fowl, such as crow.”
In a rare public statement, Mullah Omar, leader of the Taliban Taxi Drivers’ Union, called the swap a “victory” for President Obama in his fight against climate change. “Allah willing, we will continue to aid Obama’s jihad against non-believers in global warming.” Omar went on to say “Obama is our biggest ally in the fight against America. We’re going to win, Allah and Obama willing”.
“Since he’s clean out of detainees, maybe Obama can trade more of our magic beans for something else he doesn’t need, like spent plutonium, for example. The US entered Afghanistan in 2001. Bergdahl enlisted in 2008. We had had elections in 2002, 2004 and 2006 before he enlisted. Hell, 2006 was the year the Dems routed the Repubs in large part due to revulsion over the wars. It was two years LATER that Bergdahl volunteered. He wasn’t drafted. Any crowing about “Bush’s wars” is bullshit – as it relates to Bergdahl. Cripes, while Bergdahl was volunteering Obama was defeating Hillary for the nomination – using the wars as a cudgel. 2009 was a fine time indeed for Bergdahl to have qualms about the US action in Afghanistan. The guy is a piece of shit – as is his freak show father.

In a shocking development late today, the White House announced President Barack Obama has completed a deal with the Chinese government to trade Japan and South Korea in exchange for a Ginsu Knife set. And a first round future terrorist trade pick at Guantanamo. The deal will certainly have drastic repercussions among Pacific Rim countries as China will be free to flex their growing muscle against their neighbors in the South China Sea.
President Obama made the announcement in the Rose Garden to the Washington Propaganda Press Corp. He said:
“I am pleased to announce that America will no longer honor decades old treaties that promise America’s protection for the freedoms of our good friends in Japan and South Korea. That responsibility will now fall to the peaceful nation of China. And I will now be free to further concentrate my last few decades as President towards slashing governmental cost and waste as I have done for the past five and a half years!
I can think of no gift more symbolic of my ongoing mission of slashing deficits and debt than a Chinese-made Ginsu Knife set!”
Not everyone involved was pleased with President’s announcement. South Korean President Park Geun-Hye said:

Reports from White House insiders say this deal was put together over a phone call from the Chinese President Xi Jinping to President Obama while the President was watching the final minutes of the San Antonio Spurs/Oklahoma Thunder NBA playoff game last Sunday evening. It is also reported Obama verbally agreed on the phone call to allow the Chinese military to provide security to all US ports and military bases on the American homeland. President Xi Jinping of China said he looks forward to further negotiations with Obama scheduled during the upcoming NBA championship series between the Spurs and Miami Heat.

The Audacity Of Hussein: Obama Rubs His Jihad In Our Faces

It’s heinous enough that the criminal Obama has yet again flagrantly violated our nation’s laws, by illegally releasing the who’s who of the top-echelon Taliban cadre in the alleged “exchange” for the traitor and enemy collaborator Bowe Bergdahl.
Yet on top of that, Obama showcases and grandstands his overt Islamic Jihad in the Rose Garden before the cameras and microphones, grinning and embracing Bergdahl’s bearded Taliban-agent father, Robert, as the older Bergdahl recites, in Arabic, the Islamic war victory chant, and exults in the wholesale defeat of the United States–achieved, partly, by strategically sending his stealth rat son into and among the ranks of our armed forces, for the very purpose of defecting and eventually leveraging the release of Taliban commanders.
Contrary to the administration’s, and Bergdahl’s, false statements, Bergdahl was not “captured while lagging behind on patrol.” Nor did he “serve with honor and distinction,” as claimed by notorious Obama administration liar Susan Rice.
There is no question that the younger Bergdahl committed the crime (punishable by death) of desertion. Blatantly anti-American emails between Bergdahl and his father, discussing his desire to do so mere days and hours prior to his disappearance, prove it. The troops with whom he was deployed have gone public with the slam-dunk case that he deserted, and the Pentagon even acknowledged it as far back as 2010. Furthermore, irate members of the intelligence community are coming forward and describing that our government’s secret file on Bergdahl (officially sealed until 2019) confirms that Bergdahl joined the Taliban as a sympathizer and collaborator.
So why has the the Army been awarding Private Bergdahl scheduled promotions to Sergeant and Staff Sergeant in absentia, when it is plain and clear that he went AWOL of his own choice, and apparent that he helped the enemy to kill his former fellow troops? Too many of us know the disturbing answer: Obama has purged our military of patriotic leaders, and has achieved an anti-American coup throughout the Department of Defense and all levels of government administration.
Bergdahl’s former unit members have described how, prior to Bergdahl abandoning his post, he went to lengths to obtain information and understanding of the terrain layouts and hidden “avenue of approach” vulnerabilities surrounding his unit’s base of operations, making topographical studies and range maps beyond that normally required and sought by someone merely adhering to his duties as a sentry and soldier. Bergdahl gave every indication to his platoonmates that he was planning to go outside the wire, to “go native,” and seek a life among the region’s inhabitants. He was reported to have specifically sought out the local Taliban, to replace his U.S. Army company as his new comrades-in-arms, adhering to them.
Later, after Bergdahl went AWOL, the base was successfully attacked by Taliban forces exploiting those very same hidden vulnerabilities, and our troops were exposed to far more enemy action and suffered numerous more casualties as a direct result of Bergdahl’s defection–especially the massive searching for him that was ordered by the higher-ups, and the general heightening of activity in that area of operations.
Instead of being a triumphant Trojan trophy in Obama’s engineering of the defeat of America, the traitor bastard Bergdahl should have been left to die among his new friends under whatever conditions, and the top Taliban detainees at GITMO should have been executed by firing squad long ago for their role in harboring Osama Bin Laden and the planners/hijackers of September 11th, 2001.
Mere impeachment and removal from office is not nearly enough. Barack Hussein Obama (along with Taliban operative Robert Bergdahl, with his campaign of jihad Tweets) should also be tried, convicted, and given the penalty for high treason against the United States. Quote me on that.

Losing the ability to speak one’s Native Language is called language attrition.
Studies have shown that even children in their teens can lose the ability to speak their native language … if they never use it again. My mother spoke German and Serbian equally fluently until her early teens, then once in Austria she never spoke Serbian again, and today she wouldn’t even know how to say “How are you.”
I don’t know of any cases where adults lose access to their native language — (not counting brain injury, disease, etc.). By adulthood primary language is deeply rooted in long-term memory. So, Bergdahl, imho, is full of shit.
As I mentioned before, I suspect there are many of his former comrades in arms that would love to catch up with him. He will be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life, I suspect.
