We celebrated dad’s 91st birthday earlier this week. They don’t have a computer. So, one of the things he enjoys doing when we meet at my sister’s house is to go on youtube and look for fun music vids … as dad loves to sing. He was born in Romania, so he asked me to find some Romanian Gypsy Music. I found this rhythmic clapping. He just loved it, as did I … and I hope you enjoy it also.
Me, dad, and my libtard seester (whom I love greatly despite her “illness” lol) in her yard of 1000+ plants.
My seester rescues abandoned rabbits and birds. This is Coco the cockatoo. I had an unlit cigar in my mouth, and he swooped from his perch upon me … and that damned bird took the cigar right out of my mouth. And he wouldn’t give it back!!! We cracked up for a good solid ten minutes over that.
Reminds me of the German Shtupa (sp?) they hand jive too.
Only this was warp speed 9. Very cool.

I watched the video, that’s 7 min I’ll never get back. Interesting tho. There is a group “Stomp”? that jumps around stage with trash cans tied to their shoes. A lot of noise, sounds like trash pickup day in Brooklyn.
I guess this is what passes for entertainment in Romania when your soooo poor ya can’t afford instruments.

Last post for a couple days. My dad has to take the written drivers test on Wed. I just took a sample NJ test and barely passed … missed 8 questions, they only allow 10 missed. So, I’m right now putting together a sample test with 100 questions and a big fat cheat sheet for dad. Plus, I gotta go to NYC tomorrow for moms medical stuff.

T4C- People born in Romania are Romanians. Romani or Roma people are an ethnic group of gypsies.
T4C- The reason I am asking this question, which Stucky will know what I am talking about right away, is the Romani/Roma people were heavily persecuted during the holocaust. Their numbers were heavily diminished during the war and the Romanian Jews have a different holocaust history considering many weren’t sent to a concentration camp, but were executed within the Romanian boarder.

@Steph — my dad is not Roma. He doesn’t even consider himself Romanian. Ethnic Germans were scattered all over Europe. He was born to ethnic Germans in a German part of town and he considers himself to be German. Yes, he was in the German Army … cuz they conscripted him at gunpoint. He was captured on the Russian Front, and somehow survived Russian prison camp.

OTOH, my country is going to shit fast. Our prime minister is in court for corruption and our president is a …. will fill that later.
1 year ago our “for sale” prime minister went to Turkey (for some knee surgery) and when he landed back home, the SOB said he and Erdogan are close to finish a deal building a mosque and a university housing 6000 students. Howls all over the country ensued.
We elected in 2014 a president, a ethnic german with great hope. Teutonic …. and so on. He said our country can house only 1700 refugees. He then went to Brussels and after 4 days the line he comes home with is like: 5000+, uh, that`s not so much, we can handle that ….. .
What irks me is that while the median wage here is 500 EUR/month, Brussels said they will charge our country 7000 EUR/month for every migrant we will not bring in as ordered per their calculations.
We are fucked.
