Paul Ryan’s Express: US Public Debt Has Over Doubled Since Dec 2007, Average Wage Growth Down 28%

Guest Post by Anthony B. Sanders

House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell delivered a $1.1 TRILLION omnibus spending package to President Obama who signed it gleefully.

Yes, there was ample quantities of pork barrel spending, too long to list here. Here is the 2009 page omnibus (Or cronybus) spending bill. omnibus-spending-bill-text

Has Federal government spending (and debt) done any good? Other than those receiving boodle from the Federal government?

Since December 2007, US public debt has over doubled. Despite the prodigious debt issuance, M2 Money Velocity keeps crashing.

reALCHART

Since December 2007, real median household income remains down 6.5% (as of 2014), average wage growth YoY is down 28%, the labor force participation rate is down 5.3%. All this from a doubling of Federal debt from $9.2 trillion to $18.83 trillion. Not to mention 94+ million NOT in the labor force and 11% U-6 Underemployment rate NSA and 9.9% SA.

The economy has never really recovered from The Great Recession (other than asset prices and the unemployment rate).

Apparently, Congress and The Administration are oblivious to the massive debt expansion and how little good has come from it for the middle class. Of course, our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren are on the hook for the gargantuan debt load.

Capitalism is ending. Having a republic with universal suffrage excludes having a capitalist system. I’m guessing some sort of National Socialist state emerges.

Other anon,

Those audits would be done by other government agencies.

You really think that will do much good?

After all, they -or those in charge of them- all have something on each other. Otherwise they wouldn’t be there in the first place.

That Paul Ryan sure turned out to be a piece of shit.

He’s even growing a Taliban beard.

We’re fucked. It’s done.

And the cruelest joke: I heard on the local Minneapolis News that unemployment in Minnesota is at the lowest level in many years (I believe less than 5%)

– – – Excecpt – – – there are many jobs without qualified candidates ( Christmas Tree Lot Attendant?). When adults (like my wife, with two degrees, who would like some part time work) can’t get anything.

Two years after BHO took office, the CBO announced that his administration’s accounting records are so bad that they cannot conduct an audit.

Absolutely correct, another reason to vote for and elect Trump. We need to send a message to the GOP, we’re wore out with you voting like Libtards.
