The Western pubic doesn’t know it, but Washington and its European vassals are convincing Russia that they are preparing to attack. Eric Zuesse reports on a German newspaper leak of a Bundeswehr decision to declare Russia to be an enemy nation of Germany.

This is the interpretation that some Russian politicians themselves have put on the NATO military bases that Washington is establishing on Russia’s borders.
Washington might intend the military buildup as pressure on President Putin to reduce Russian opposition to Washington’s unilateralism. However, it reminds some outspoken Russians such as Vladimir Zhirinovsky of Hitler’s troops on Russia’s border in 1941.
Zhirinovsky is the founder and leader of Russia’s Liberal Democratic Party and a vice chairman of the Russian parliament. In a confrontation with the editor of a German newspaper, Zhirinovsky tells him that German troops again on Russia’s border will provoke a preventive strike after which nothing will remain of German and NATO troops. “The more NATO soldiers in your territory, the faster you are going to die. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has expressed his frustration with Washington’s reliance on force and coercion instead of diplomacy. It is reckless for Washington to convince Russia that diplomacy is a dead end without promise. When the Russians reach that conclusion, force will confront force.
Indeed Zhirinovsky has already reached that point and perhaps Vladimir Putin also. Putin has made it clear that Russia will not accept US missile bases in Poland and Romania. He has informed Washington and the imbecilic Polish and Romanian governments. However, as Putin observed, “they don’t hear.”
The inability to hear means that Washington’s arrogance has made Washington too stupid to take seriously Putin’s warning. If Washington persists, it will provoke the preventive strike that Zhirinovsky told the German editor the Merkel regime was inviting.
Americans need to wake up to the dangerous situation that Washington has created, but I doubt they will. Most wars happen without the public’s knowledge until they happen. The main function of the American left-wing is to serve as a bogyman with which to scare conservatives about the country’s loss of morals, and the main function of conservatives is to create fear and hysteria about immigrants, Muslims, and Russians. There is no sign that Congress is aware of approaching Armageddon, and the media consists of propaganda.
I and a few others try to alert people to the real threats that they face, but our voices are not loud enough. Not even Vladimir Putin’s voice is loud enough. It looks like the West won’t hear until “there remains nothing at all of the German and NATO troops,” and of Poland and Romania and the rest of us.

Vlad Zhirinovski was the clown prince of the Duma 20 years ago. He was the one who demanded the US turn over Alaska to Russia or else face nuclear extermination. He was an alcoholic laughing stock of the Russian govt then and I find it hard to believe he’s a valid source now.
That being said, I don’t like our sabre rattling with the Russians. I’ve met the Russians and I found them to be, mostly nice, plain, likable people. Some of the best people you ever met. But also some of the most morose, depressing people you ever met. They never intended to kill all of us, but they were told for 60 years WE intended to kill all of THEM.
I suspect if average Americans met average Russians, they would see there’s a lot of common ground.
Many of us are Awake and we know the military budget needs a big enemy (nuclear) – Russia is the perfect villain. The U.S. is encroaching on Russian borders in the Baltic and employing missile batteries in Poland – of course, Russia is the bad guy.
Unfortunately it is the regular people in U.S. and Russia that will be toasted – we don’t have underground Nuclear Bunkers or advance warning systems like politicos and military.

The problem is Russia’s alliance with China. Nobody is going to be a happy camper after a nuclear war. Do you think that China is going to just stand by if Russia and the US duke it out knowing that they’re going to be next? China is a nuclear power too.
The elite can wait it out in their bunkers until their food and water run out and come out in 10 yrs to a world so hot you can fry an egg on the pavement at midnight.
You think that the Fukushima mess was bad. You ain’t seen nothin’ till you see 6000 nukes go off. Better pray that Putin has a level head and seeks peace, cuz there don’t seem to be many level heads in Washington.
As bad as things are it’s a hell of a lot better than watching boils break out all over your body from radiation poisoning.
I remember the 5o’s and everyone building fallout shelters. How naive to think that would make a difference for more than a month. The scientists and gov promoted the fear and the palliative, bomb shelters, knowing full well that they wouldn’t really work.
Maybe the elites are going to wait it out in Antarctica.
Don’t make the mistake of believing we’ll actually have a nuclear war anytime soon. As soon as the Russians or the Chinese detect we’re really serious about war, everything will be turned off. We’ll lose before we fire a shot when every single type of civilian network, the internet, and probably a whole lot of fedgov networks, as well, are killed by various forms of malware hackers have been implanting for decades. The US would be hopelessly befuckled when everything died at once. Just imagine what would happen if the Air Traffic Control System went offline. Imagine if the water treatment systems nationwide died. Imagine if the credit card systems nationwide died. Or the phone infrastructure. Or train control systems.
Trump my not be able to stop this train wreck but at least he’ll attempt to slam on the breaks. Hitlery will throw the throttle wide open to destruction.

-Don’t believe me? Look up the Soviet KGB’s control of the American Left throughout the Cold War. When they wanted something, they mobilized their useful idiots here to acheive it. For instance, I read a book by a Soviet GRU defector who explained how the Soviets used our idiot protestors to force the govt to abandon the Neutron Bomb and a plan to beam VOA directly to Soviet televisions. The Soviets knew once the average Russins saw VOA on their TVs, it would be over.

Hate to break it to you but Paul is telling the truth, that is exactly what is going down. As I have posted Russians have the technology to render NATO forces useless. This is going to get fukkin ugly.
