HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE

The United States has the most bad ass military on the planet. We are really good at pushing around flyweights like Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya. Are we really looking to take on Russia and China? These are the unintended consequences of sticking our fucking nose into every other country’s business. We aren’t the only country in the world that has “strategic interests”. Russia has a shitload of oil and natural gas. China manufactures half the shit we will be buying on Black Friday and holds about $800 billion of our Treasury bonds.

Has our hubris grown to such a level that we would be willing to start World War III over fucking Syria or Iran? Is this the beginning of our Fourth Turning war? Is this another example of the ruling oligarchy trying to distract the masses from our Greater Depression with a foreign enemy?

Will this country ever come to its senses and realize our Empire is crumbling and the only hope is to voluntarily exit from trying to police the world? WE’RE BANKRUPT!!!!!

My son just received a letter from the the Selective Service Administration informing him he had to register or risk imprisonment or fines.

MY SON WILL NOT BE GOING TO WAR FIGHTING RUSSIANS, CHINESE, SYRIANS, OR IRANIANS TO SATISFY THE NEEDS OF THE CORRUPT CRIMINAL OLIGARCHY THAT RUNS THIS COUNTRY.

WE WILL EITHER LEAVE THIS COUNTRY OR JOIN A REVOLUTION TO DEPOSE THE SCUM CURRENTLY IN CHARGE.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

Russia Retaliates Against US: Puts Radar Station On Combat Alert, Prepares To Take Out European Missile Defense Systems

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/23/2011 22:50 -0500

Earlier today, we presented the latest developments in the escalating possibility of an imminent air (and potentially land) campaign targeting Syria by the “western world”, a move that would infuriate not only Iran, but also Russia and China, both of which have made it clear they would not sit idly by and let such an “aggression” stand. Now it is Russia’s turn to retaliate. Cutting straight to the chase – in a nationally televized appearance by Russian president Dmitry Medvedev: in response to what the Russian believes is an active incursion and a potential act of eventual aggression on behalf of NATO countries in Eastern Europe (and hence the US), he he said the following (7 minutes in): “First, I am instructing the Defense Ministry to immediately put the missile attack early warning radar station in Kaliningrad on combat alert. Second, protective cover of Russia’s strategic nuclear weapons, will be reinforced as a priority measure under the programme to develop out air and space defenses. Third, the new strategic ballistic missiles commissioned by the Strategic Missile Forces and the Navy will be equipped with advanced missile defense penetration systems and new highly-effective warheads. Fourth, I have instructed the Armed Forces to draw up measures for disabling missile defense system data and guidance systems if need beFifth, if the above measures prove insufficient, the Russian Federation will deploy modern offensive weapon systems in the west and south of the country, ensuring our ability to take out any part of the US missile defense system, in Europe. One step in this process will be to deploy Iskander missiles in Kaliningrad Region. Other measures to counter the European missile defense system will be drawn up and implemented as necessary. Furthermore, if the situation continues to develop not in Russia’s favor we reserve the right to discontinue further disarmament and arms control measures. Besides, given the intrinsic link between strategic offensive and defensive arms, conditions for our withdrawal from the New START Treaty could also arise.” That said, he concludes that Russia is still open to dialog. However, if Obama merely intends to bomb any nation at will, we are very much concerned that everything Medvedev has just threatened will be enacted. And exponentially more so when Putin comes back in charge. One thing is certain – Russia is not North Korea, and taking this speech for more empty jawboning is probably not the wisest option.

Is the U.S. About to Invade Syria … and Pick a Fight with China and Russia?

George Washington's picture

Submitted by George Washington on 11/23/2011 20:02 -0500

Tyler pointed out yesterday and today that the risk of a Syrian war is quickly rising.

I want to amplify on three aspects of this issue:

(1) a war against Syria was planned 10 years ago

(2) the American people don’t want a new war and

(3) Russia and China may strongly react against such a war

THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DON’T WAR WAR … BUT A SYRIAN WAR WAS PLANNED 10 YEARS AGO

I noted in August:

While the U.S. is doing its best to try to whip up support for a war against Syria (a war planned at least 10 years ago), a new Rasmussen poll finds:

Just 12% of Likely U.S. Voters believe the United States should get more directly involved in the Syrian crisis, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Sixty-six percent (66%) think the United States should leave the Syrian situation alone.

ARE WE PICKING A FIGHT WITH CHINA AND RUSSIA?

This is even more dangerous because China has warned the U.S. against attacking Syria, and Russia has reportedly moved warships into Syrian waters to defend Syria from a U.S. attack.

Relations between the U.S. and Russia have degraded recently. See this and this. This is largely due to the U.S. threatening war against any nation which becomes an economic rival.

May cooler heads prevail.

Good for you! Your children are a gift and deserve to be protected. That is your duty as a parent. I wish all Americans had this much sense.

No sacrifice it to great for the Motherland.

“Motherland”

Where in hell can you go
Far from the things that you know
Far from the sprawl of concrete
That keeps crawling its way
About 1,000 miles a day?

Take one last look behind
Commit this to memory and mind
Don’t miss this wasteland, this terrible place
When you leave
Keep your heart off your sleeve

Motherland cradle me
Close my eyes
Lullaby me to sleep
Keep me safe
Lie with me
Stay beside me
Don’t go, don’t you go

O, my five & dime queen
Tell me what have you seen?
The lust and the avarice
The bottomless, the cavernous greed
Is that what you see?

Motherland cradle me
Close my eyes
Lullaby me to sleep
Keep me safe
Lie with me
Stay beside me
Don’t go

It’s your happiness I want most of all
And for that I’d do anything at all, o mercy me!
If you want the best of it or the most of all
If there’s anything I can do at all

Now come on shot gun bride
What makes me envy your life?
Faceless, nameless, innocent, blameless and free,
What’s that like to be?

Motherland cradle me
Close my eyes
Lullaby me to sleep
Keep me safe
Lie with me
Stay beside me
Don’t go, don’t you go

There is no military draft.

However, the requirement for people 18 years and up to register has never been repealed and is still in place. You register or you get hate mail from your Gubbermint.

All it would take to reinstitute the draft is an Executive Order from the President – wouldn’t even require CONgressional review. But ti would take a whole lot of pre-preparation prior to instituting the draft again.. You have to have places built and activated to take draftees – can’t park them on the prairie and have them starve.

So keep you eye on old military bases that have been mothballed all around the country. When adds go out for construction people to work on these old WWII bases, barracks, chow halls, etc., then make your plans to go to Canada (which is a nice country in the Summer even if their Constitution sucks bigtime) because when the old bases are spruced up, the Goobermint is going to fill them up with draftees.

How they are going to manage this while broke is a bit beyond me but inflation always finds a way.

“Has our hubris grown to such a level that we would be willing to start World War III over fucking Syria or Iran?” ——- Admin

Short answer: Yes.

Wasn’t WWI started over some archduke — a very minor inconsequential administrative post — being shot?

I’m not worried about Russia. Maybe I’m stupid and I should be. But they have their hands full … sharing a border with 1.3 Billion Chinese …. who are eagerly keeping an eye on the riches of Siberia … and there is no love lost between the two nations.

Muck says, “…However, the requirement for people 18 years and up to register…”

I don’t believe it is “people,” it is still only for boys, well according to this law, men. They are still boys if they want a drink.

I’ve always wondered why Steinem, that hypocritical Bilderburg bitch, didn’t march on Washington to demand her “equal” treatment for women that turn 18?

Hypocrisy as law, making things “fair” by making them even more inherently unfair since the 1960s.

Iran, Syria, North Korea, we have been warned that our money, ‘er China & Russia, won’t idly stand by and watch us continue down this path of empire building.

Maybe the draft is the PTB plan for the millions of young people sucking welfare. Hell, that would make the $100k, 22-1/2%, non-bankruptable cost of “education” seem like a bargain.

Hell ya’, let’s go to war, just think it will increase our GDP, lower our unemployment rate, provide thousands of advertising hours for the MSM, grow the government AND unite the sheeple to take our assfuckings with smiles on our faces.

I don’t see what possibly could go wrong with that plan.

sarcasm off.

Criminals, thieves and demigods are driving us to a horrible existence. Happy freaking Thanksgiving all.

The True Peace

The first peace, which is the most important,
is that which comes within the souls of people
when they realize their relationship,
their oneness, with the universe and all its powers,
and when they realize that at the center
of the universe dwells Wakan-Taka (the Great Spirit),
and that this center is really everywhere, it is within each of us.
This is the real peace, and the others are but reflections of this.

The second peace is that which is made between two individuals,

The third peace is that which is made between two nations.

But above all you should understand that there can never
be peace between nations until there is known that true peace,
which, as I have often said, is within the souls of men.

“Has our hubris grown to such a level that we would be willing to start World War III over fucking Syria or Iran?”

C’mon…We had two wars going so we could use up the weapons created after Vietnam, in order to make room for new shit. We now have to start another war before the new new shit gets obsolete. If somebody doesn’t have wars, half of our economy will go in the tank (pun intended).

Tensions with Russia are completely avoidable. We’re putting missile sites in eastern Europe for the ostensible reason of thwarting a missile threat from Iran. What? I missed the part of Iran and Poland getting really pissed off at each other and ready to do battle.

So the Russians have thrown the bullshit flag and said that’s just a cover to put missiles near their border and threaten them. I think the Russians are correct.

Realistically, the Russians have been demoted from their superpower status. Sure, they still have a powerful nuclear arsenal, and so do we, but the fact of the matter is that Russia can no longer project its power to any point on the planet they choose. Russia is no longer meddling in Africa, Latin America, and Asia to foment wars of national liberation. And it has totally lost its eastern Europe empire.

Pissing them off by putting missile bases in eastern Europe is pointless and expensive. Wouldn’t it make more sense to keep working with them on an even keel to keep drawing down our nuclear arsenals to an even lower level and rid the world of these monstrous weapons? I for one think that’s the way to go.

History rhymes …

Lincoln started a war, needed an income tax and conscription, suspended habeas corpus, attacked newspapers, editors, an Ohio congressman, anyone who disagreed with him. “Preserve the Union”was just code for ‘my tariff or else’!

Wilson campaigned for re-election on the slogan “he kept us out of war” — even as Col House was bringing back the secret treaty with jolly old England to get the U.S. into WW1. And Wilson needed conscription. He already had changed the U.S. with the new, improved income tax (increased in 1917), and of course there was the 17h amendment and the Federal Reserve System. O joy.

FDR campaigned for re-election in 1940 saying “I tell you I will not send your boys to a foreign war.” Meanwhile, the Selective Service Act of 1940 was spawned. WTF? I wonder if Smedley Butler ever had second thoughts?

Could this Fourth Turning be different?

I’m not sure Bullwinkle Obama can pull the rabbit out of the hat for this one.

The amazing thing is that there are plenty of old fuckers in every community who will gladly sit on a draft board and send their neighbors kids off to war. Their houses should catch fire-with them in it.

Hotrod,

Funny you should mention that … fire. My dad had a bum left hand, didn’t stop him from doing anything he had a mind to. Tried to join the army about ’37 and was rejected. Come the Selective Service Act of 1940, and those draft boards were rounding up anyone who could fog a mirror.

And oh yeah, dad was valuable, don’t know what he said but it didn’t happen. Meanwhile, the head of the draft board kept his oldest son out … and when the war ended and those who survived ‘Selection’ returned, said son ‘accidentally’ set fire to their hardware store one night and perished the blaze. Karma’s a bitch.
