The Federal Government is attempting to link them to Iran, so we can get our next pre-emptive war under way. Wall Street and weapons dealer stocks are set to soar today, as war is always good for the economy. Obama is pleased as punch, since the whole country is focused on the Boston Bombers Reality Show, and have foregotten they are unemployed and being screwed by Ben Bernanke and the rest of the oligarchs. Expect this to be the top story for the next month. Three best seller books will be on shelves next week and an Oscar worthy movie should be out by the end of the year. The bodies of the suspects will be buried at sea, and all of their emails and written communications will be sealed for national security reasons. Boston Suburb, Transit Under Lockdown Following Shootout With One Bombing Suspect, Manhunt For Another, Both From Chechnya

In a series of bizarre if morbid events, things in Boston have gone from bad to surreal. According to Reuters, police killed one suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing during a shootout and were engaged in a house-to-house search for the other on Friday in the Boston suburb of Watertown. The suspects, incidentally, as AP reports, are reportedly brothers and originally from the separatist Russian region of Chechnya, who lived in the US for at least 1 year and were Cambridge residents at the time of the incident.
The night started off in a just as dramatic fashion, with the violence beginning around 10:30 p.m., with the robbery of a 7-11 in nearby Cambridge, authorities said. The two men then fatally shot an MIT campus police officer and carjacked a Mercedes sport-utility vehicle at gunpoint, keeping the vehicle’s owner hostage for about a half-hour, police said. The owner was released at a gas station in Cambridge, authorities said. He wasn’t injured.
Police pursued that car to Watertown, where explosives were thrown from the car at police and gunfire was exchanged, the statement said.
“During the exchange of the gunfire, we believe that one of the suspects was struck and ultimately taken into custody. A second suspect was able to flee from that car and there is an active search going on at this point in time,” Colonel Timothy Alben, superintendent of the Massachusetts State Police, told a news conference.
The WSJ adds that a Boston Marathon bombing suspect was killed in a confrontation with police and a manhunt was on for the second suspect—both of whom were believed to be involved in the fatal shooting of an MIT campus police officer during a chaotic series of events Thursday night.
Authorities said the bombing suspect who had been shown wearing a black baseball cap in photographs released Thursday was killed when confronted by police in Watertown, Mass. The second suspect, a light-skinned man with long curly hair and wearing a hoodie who police said was the bombing suspect identified wearing a white hat, was still at large Friday morning. Neither man was identified. Police warned residents that the at-large suspect was armed and dangerous.

Fast forward to this morning, when authorities warned people in Watertown not to leave their homes and not to answer the door after a night in which a university police officer was killed, a transit police officer was wounded, and the suspects carjacked a vehicle, leading police on a chase.
Police were searching for the man known as Suspect 2 who was photographed wearing a white hat just before the explosions that killed three people and wounded 176. The blasts triggered security scares across the United States and evoked memories of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
The AP reports that the name of the surviving suspect is Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, of Cambridge, Mass.
The bombing suspects attacked police with explosives and gunfire before the man known as Suspect 1 was shot, apprehended, and taken to a hospital, where he died, officials said.
Officials shut down area transit systems while the manhunt was under way.
“We believe this to be a terrorist,” said Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis of the bombing suspect still at large. “We believe this to be a man who has come here to kill people. We need to get him in custody.”
The two unidentified men were wanted for Monday’s twin bombings at the Boston Marathon, when two blasts ripped through the crowd near the finish line.
The massive police operation was under way in Watertown after the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on Thursday released pictures and video of two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing.
The FBI had enlisted the public’s help in identifying two men wearing backpacks and baseball caps in the crowd minutes before bombs exploded near the finish line.

I have to concur on the new toys. The average suburban police man has the same or better fire power that the average urban SWAT team had 30 years ago. I am not sure that the average American citizen is really that much more dangerous, but I believe that statistically crime is down substantially from 30 tears ago, and it is easy to determine where the majority of the crime comes from. This type of police action should be taking place in parts of Chicago, Los Angeles. and many of our fine urban centers. Unfortunately this will be hailed as a great victory for our police state as the police encourage, no demand that the citizenry cower in there houses while they “save” the public. All I can do is enjoy the show and hope for the best.

The Associated Press has more from its interview with Anzor Tsarnaev, the father of the suspects, who says “they were set up”:
Anzor Tsarnaev spoke with The Associated Press by telephone from the southern Russian republic of Dagestan after police said one of his sons, 26-year-old Tamerlan, had been killed in a shootout and the other, Dzhokhar, was being intensely pursued.
“My son is a true angel,” the elder Tsarnaev said. He said his son was “an intelligent boy” who was studying medicine.
“We expected him to come on holidays here,” he said.
“They were set up, they were set up!” he exclaimed. “I saw it on television; they killed my older son Tamerlan.”
Tsarnaev, badly agitated, gave little more information and ended the call angrily, saying, “Leave me alone, my son’s been killed.”
The younger Tsarnaev gave few clues as to his inner life on his profile on Vkontakte, a Russian equivalent of Facebook, though he did include websites about Islam among his favorites.
The family’s origins are in Chechnya, the mostly Muslim Russian republic where separatist rebels fought two full-scale wars with Russian forces since 1994.
A spokesman for Chechnya’s leader said the family left Chechnya long ago and went to Central Asia, then moved to Dagestan, a Muslim republic adjacent to Chechnya that has been the site of a sporadic insurgency for more than a decade.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev attended School No. 1 in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan. The principal’s secretary at School No. 1, Irina Bandurina, told the AP that Tsarnaev left for the U.S. in March 2002.
The Guardian’s Matt Williams reports on the impassioned statement just now by Ruslan Tsarni, an uncle of the suspects:
Tsarni said Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev had “put a shame” not only their family but “the entire Chechen ethnicity.”
Speaking to reporters outside him home in Montgomery Village, Maryland, Ruslan Tsarni said he called on the younger brother – believed to be still at large – to surrender to police.
“I say Dzhokhar, if you are alive turn yourself in and ask for forgiveness from the victims, from the injured.”
Tsarni said of the suspect: “He put a shame on our family, he put a shame on the entire Chechen ethnicity.”
He added that Chechens were “peaceful people”.
Tsarni said his family was suffering like those of the victims of Monday’s bombing, but he also asked for their forgiveness. “With the families of those who suffered, we are suffering with them, their grief. I’m ready to kneel in front of them and ask their forgiveness.”

We have no first hand evidence to tell us why what happened, happened. What is amazing is the scope and range of these cameras that seem to be everywhere and filming everything happening on the street. What is alarming is the interconnectedness of law enforcement these days, sharing jurisdictions and manpower. This shows the magnitude of the police state. And when they take control of a situation like this the people are put into a state of martial law. This is absolute power. This is evidence that we are no longer a free people at least in The Commonwealth of Massachusetts. But then again the people of Massachusetts are probably fine with it.

An auto mechanic in Somerville, Massachusetts, told reporters that a “very nervous” Dzhokhar Tsarnaev came to his shop Tuesday, the day after the bombing, to pick up a car he’d dropped off for repairs. TPM reports:
Gilberto Junior, 44, said that the man, who has been identified as Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, appeared to be “very nervous.”
“He was biting his fingernails, and was shaky,” Junior said.
Tsarnaev had dropped of the car, which Junior described as a white Mercedes wagon, at the auto shop about two weeks earlier. It had rear bumper damage, and Tsarnaev had said it was his girlfriend’s. On Tuesday, when Tsarnaev suddenly returned, Junior told him the car wasn’t ready.
“I don’t care, I don’t care, I don’t care, I need the car right now,” Tsarnaev said, according to Junior.
The mechanic said Tsarnaev took the car without its rear bumper on.
The kid will probably start a fire and shoot himself any second now.

An employee of the sports department of the Boston Globe was good friends with Dzokhar Tsarnaev, the suspect at large.
