How is wearing a seat belt, or observing whatever other stupid herd-animal regulation the locals insisted upon any different? Fly below their radar, minimize the chances for contact and let the other fools around you reap the whirlwind of condoning the Police State.
This is why I think Open Carry is foolish. It may be a great idea on a collective basis to confront the creep of tyranny, but on an individual level it is inviting contact with people who are sometimes decent, oftentimes are not.
In the end, nothing will alter the course of history. Getting roughed up, or arrested, or even shot for “exercising one’s rights” will not change the trajectory of the collective, it only changes YOUR trajectory.

Darrin Manning may never father children after his encounter with a police officer earlier this month.
While on his way to a basketball game after school, the straight-A student and his teammates had an encounter with officer Thomas Purcell. Apparently one of the teammates may have said a snide remark to the officer, who then approached them. The boys ran, but Manning stopped and stayed. “I didn’t do anything wrong,” he said to Philly.com.
What happened next is hard to believe. Darrin was handcuffed, frisked, and his genitals were pulled and twisted with such force by the female officer that they literally tore off.
I hate to say it, but whenever I have been out and around with visible firearms and seen a cop, I just waived. He waived and kept on going.
I’ve carried both openly and concealed. Nobody has said shit, ever.

except for when people who have conceal carry permits get their driver licenses flagged. this happened when a person was travelling thru maryland and was pulled over, the cop demanded to see the firearm and searched his entire motorhome.
except the firearm was locked in the man’s safe at home.
conceal carry is the way to go because it is better to not have your hand visible but it also working against us as a defacto gun registry.
That and stay the fuck out of states like California, RI, Mass., NJ, MD and the rest of their ilk but the list seems to always be growing, plus some of the most heinous cop videos I have seen occur in Texas.

I live in PA which is supposed to be an open carry state but I have never seen it with my own 2 eyes. One of my very good friends who moved here learned that PA was open carry so he started open carrying his 1911 when bringing his trash to the condo dumpster, it was about 25-30 yards. After doing it for a few days one night a cop was parked next to the dumpster waiting for him. the cop told him to stop doing it, my friend asked if it was illegal, the cop said no but said concerned people called and if he had to come back over this issue he would find something on my friend. it is always these “concerned” people, nothing but a bunch of stupid fucking slaves trying to make sure the rest of us are imprisoned as well.

Unless I mis-heard, the cop tells the group of young people that the store has a “no guns” sign displayed.
If this is correct, the young people trying to “make a point” here are courting trouble, nothing more.
If a store (privately held or mega-corporation) wants to post “no guns” signs, let ’em.
Just don’t shop there. Let other people do whatever they want. That’s the only peaceful path.
In our current environment, I can’t imagine any store whose profit margin is so large that they can afford to jettison any paying customer.

That Maryland story stinks to high heaven.
The only record of that man’s gun purchase would have been the Federal 4473, which is held on paper by the FFL where the purchase (or transfer) occurred and is not sent to the ATFE, much less any other cop database, unless the FFL closes up shop and terminates their license. What are the odds of that?
The MD cop supposedly demanded “where is your gun?” Say what?
What would the MD cop supposedly say if he had stopped an enthusiast with a CCL? “Where are your 10 pistols, 5 shotguns, your M1A and your 4 AR15’s?”
Answer: “Oh, I don’t know, officer, let me check my pockets?”
None of it makes any sense. Your license plate is not connected to your CCL that I know of, and we know that simply having a CCL is not leading to waves of roadside detentions or Interstates would look like parking lots.
The real world (and real police state) is bad enough without red herrings cropping up and distracting us. That video of roadside anal/vaginal probing by some dyke cop in TX is all we need to know about the state of the Union. That’s the tip of an iceberg we should be screaming about 24/7.

As usual, I wasn’t there. I didn’t record the entire event. I therefore have no idea what really happened, all I am doing is what anyone can do, read the “story” and match it to what I “know.”
I stand by my view that there are holes in this story large enough for me to drive a truck through them.
While the NSA certainly accumulates billions of data points on each of us, the notion that they are phoning up the MD transit cops to hassle some guy who owns a single, tiny, mostly plastic and often unreliable 380 ACP toy stretches my credulity.
There is REAL evil going on. I don’t want to be distracted by weird one-offs that don’t make sense.
