I stopped at the 48 minute mark after Lewis had claimed that the people atop the SEC just didn’t understand that there was something wrong and followed that up with wishing for a new J.P. Morgan. No, not the bank. He actually wished for another mephistophelian prick, like the turn of the century bastard himself. And then, to complete the bitter irony, Conan adds that this new satyr should have a sense of history. Uh, you mean like knowing that an outrageously evil man was not someone of whom we should wish to see another in order to fix the system? My god.
Lewis is useful. I like his books. He makes *some* very good points but sometimes he’s like a guy who’s intent on tilting at windmills but can’t quite remember what he was supposed to oppose. Tilt at the Wyndham hotel chain? Tilt at fans of the movie Gone With the Wind? Tilt at Windows8?
