This kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I mean, it looks kind of cool on one hand. On the other, it seems macabre. Call me crazy, but is it that far from turning a loved one into a lampshade?
Ethically speaking, would I be evil for selling my family members’ gem carcasses on Ebay? Should I have to admit the gems I’m selling to you used to be people?

We worry about blood diamonds from Africa and it seems funny we can turn dead people into gems.
With a world of excess people, could this be the convenient way to dispose of unnecessary folks?
Would wanting a blue blood diamond be Boronic?
Do fat people make bigger diamonds?
I could see some really interesting ghost stories coming out of this innovation.
