Rosetta’s Plasma Consortium (RPC) has uncovered a mysterious ‘song’ that Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko is singing into space. The comet seems to be emitting a ‘song’ in the form of oscillations in the magnetic field in the comet’s environment. It is being sung at 40-50 millihertz, far below human hearing. To make the music audible to the human ear, the frequencies have been increased in this recording: https://soundcloud.com/esaops/a-singing-comet
The Philae lander has separated from the Rosetta orbiter, and is now on its way to becoming the first spacecraft to touch down on a comet.

After successfully parking the Philae lander on a comet –
“There are two types of countries in the world, those that use the metric system, and those that landed a Chevy on Mars”.
So lemme get this straight….. Mankind lands a spacecraft the size of a washing machine onto the back of a comet the size of a double decker bus….. billions of miles from earth as it’s picking up speed…… (an absolutely stunning, monumental achievement for mankind) and the biggest buzz on social media is Kimmy Kardashian’s bare backside!!??
We are truely screwed as a species……..

MIA takes posting sexy-time pics to a whole new level.
I hope SSS sees this.
One of them is cold, oddly shaped, with no intelligence, and living in a vacuum. The other is a comet.
There is also a Before View – Notice Champagne captured in the wine glass balanced on Kim’s Huge Butt. Not many can preform this heroic feat and not a drop was spilled.

The complete story and pictures for those that are interested are available at PaperMag but will not be posted here as SSS would surely disapprove.

Rosetta’s lander Philae is safely on the surface of Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, as these first two CIVA images confirm. One of the lander’s three feet can be seen in the foreground. The image is a two-image mosaic. The full panoramic from CIVA will be delivered in this afternoon’s press briefing at 13:00 GMT/14:00 CET.
