Ebola Cure IMMINENT … Now That They’re Singing About It

Band Aid was a charity super-group featuring mainly British and Irish musicians and recording artists. It was founded in 1984 to raise money for anti-poverty efforts in Ethiopia by releasing the song “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” for the Christmas market that year.

The song was a resounding success … as poverty in Ethiopia was eliminated within six months. (Just as Farm Aid saved all American family farms … Wyclef Jean’s Hope For Haiti rebuilt every earthquake damaged home ……. and so on)

Here is the 1984 song. (Lyrics at end of article)

And, so, because singing eliminated poverty in Ethiopia, the group resurrected itself in order to sing about Ebola. The group feels encouraged because hey, wtf, they both start with the letter “E”. Experts expect a full cure before Thanksgiving. Here is the same song, slightly tweaked for 2014.

Once the ebola cure is announced the group (Band Aid) will disband. They will once again be resurrected 30 years later. They expect to do a benefit concert for the last remaining enclave of White People in America … somewhere deep in the Kentucky wilderness, with a new song this time, “Billy, Don’t Be A Hero”.

=================

It’s Christmas time, and there’s no need to be afraid

At Christmas time, we let in light and banish shade

And in our world of plenty, we can spread a smile of joy

Throw your arms around the world

At Christmas time

But say a prayer, pray for the other ones

At Christmas time, it’s hard but while you’re having fun

There’s a world outside your window, and it’s a world of dread and fear

Where a kiss of love can kill you, and there’s death in every tear

And the Christmas bells that ring there are the clanging chimes of doom

Well tonight we’re reaching out and touching you

No peace and joy this Christmas in West Africa

The only hope they’ll have is being alive

Where to comfort is to fear

Where to touch is to be scared

How can they know it’s Christmas time at all

Here’s to you

Raise a glass to everyone

And here’s to them

And all their years to come

Let them know it’s Christmas time after all

Feed the world, let them know it’s Christmas time again

Feel the world, let them know it’s Christmas time again

Heal the world, let them know it’s Christmas time again

That’s terrific, the liberals have finally found a cure for all the ills of the world, sing a song. Think of all the advantages. We can now eliminate welfare, EBT, and all the rest of those expensive social programs and just tell all those poor people to sing, Works for me.

Or does the magic only happen when Bono is singing? – Whatever.

No matter your political affiliation, your race, creed, or manner of sexual perversion, I think we can all agree on one thing: Bob Geldof must be killed.

Some things are better left in 1984 (striped tube socks, Wham) and this crap song tops the list.

Am I the only one to notice that Phil Collins was the only one not sporting “Big Hair”?
