JIMSKI,
I estimate about $75 in empties at a nickel a pop based on 50 thirty packs at $20 a piece. Still a much better investment and that does not include the value of being drunk for an extended period of time.
Bob.

I think nearly the whole of TBP readership will be homing in on Llpoh’s abode once he is in Oz. Llpoh, did you take into account your defenses against desperate TBP readers? 🙂

Mikey – they do not have a return policy on cans. The recyclers buy them.
Admin – did you ever get the drachmas? Hope they were not confiscated en transit.
Are you down under, or still within the borders of Mordor USA?

My buddy and I were recruited by an old woman to tote her laundry home. She offered to pay us a quarter for our trouble – tomorrow. We left and eagerly awaited the following day when we would be 25 cents richer, ah the candies you could buy, candy necklaces, big daddies, peanut clusters in a pink patty, giant gumballs, jawbreakers, candy cigarettes, coconut bars, gold coins, wax soda bottles, and so on. We ran to her upstairs apartment after school, eager to collect. She sent us away with the promise to pay, tomorrow. The next day, no pay. The last attempt got us a scolding for bothering her. Dang.

Been under for a while working on doomstead. Sent drachmas from here. Mighta been a mistake.
The drachmas have landed. Thank you for the generous donation. Now the bastard bankers at TD Bank will get their slice when I have to convert them to USD.
How is my guest house coming along?

I think his firewater of choice was hard cider, starting after he awakened. Or maybe that was John Adams. Shit. It sucks getting old.

All welcome but bring your own booze.

No drachmas arrived at the PO Box. I’ll have to make do without the $1.35.
Sorry Admin. Maybe still on way. Takes a while.
