HIs favorite saying then for conservation of water by flushing your toilet less..”If it’s brown flush it down, if it’s yellow let it mellow.” Actually, that probably was his best idea for conservation of water. What the state should be spending money on are more reservoirs with the added benefit of providing hydro electric power and de-salizination plants built along our 900 mile coastline. Otherwise, it really is time to flush Brown down!

johnnyBoy – but desalination plants take a lot of energy, which costs a lot of money. The only real solution is to stop the mindless growth. When water’s not flowing, you can’t keep growing.

@Johnny, you do realize the state and feds is spending millions/billions to take OUT hydro electric dams, right? Last I knew four of them in Northern CA were coming down for some stupid freaking fish.
Quit excepting these blinded morons to fix the problems they helped create Johnny. Accept the fact that most “fixes” will be short lived and probably come with more than a little collateral damage. Well, if you keep expecting the likes of a politician or union bureaucrat that has nothing to lose and will be a multimillionaire on your back whether or not he solves, or causes, problems.

Gov Brown is far from being a moron, but we DID have one recently. What was his name….Swartzenburger? And as I recall he was a member of the GOP. What did HE do to prevent the crisis at hand TODAY?
