Stucky Sunday Sermon (SSS): Were You Exploited In Church Today?

Want proof that the USA!USA!USA! is a nation of suckers?  Watch the video below.  These people are worse than the maroons whom Mark Dice interviews.

Televangelists and their “churches” rake in hundreds of millions of dollars from their ignorant flock all hoping to receive a “blessing” from da Lawd.  All of it, tax free.

How come China doesn’t have Buddhist televangelists promising health, wealth, and prosperity?  Cuz, only in ‘Murika …

I wonder how many TBP suckers, errrr worshippers, went to this type of church this morning.  Speak up, and tell us about how da Lawd blessed yeeew today!

C’mon, I know it’s a 20 min video, but you should watch it … cuz there’s some hilarious stuff there!

My dear Stucky ,.. Jude : v4..For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men ,turning the grace of our God in laciviouness, and denying the only Lord God ,and our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 2:14 ..Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin ;beguiling unstable souls :an heart they have exercised with covetous practices;cursed children which have forsaken the right way….
God gave us all kinds of warnings about false teachers ,what they looked like , what they would said and do.What they would practice.

I have no problem with stupid people giving their money to someone else or even burning their money in a trash can.

I do have a problem with a gov’t entity taking our money, that we earned, by force or threat of force.

About a year ago, I went to church because my Mom wanted me to be there when she was accepted into her congregation. The members there kept encouraging me to join their church. No thanks. I get enough feminist brow beating through modern culture as it is, and I’m not gonna take any advice from an institution who constantly goes against their doctrine if it’s “not nice.”

I don’t see how any believers can take the modern church seriously. They whine about gays being able to marry, meanwhile there are crickets about how marriage was already destroyed as an institution over 40 years ago.

Atavisionary wrote a great article over it a few months back:

Conversation with a Blue Pill Churchian

“Marriage will not be destroyed by gay marriage. It was destroyed, past tense, in the 1970s with the introduction of no fault divorces combined with alimony and child support. The later is supported especially by the informal assumption that children should virtually always go to the mother such that she is the recipient of the child support. The results of these laws is the currently very high divorce rate in the US. The churchian community has not been immune or otherwise done anything significant to halt divorce surging among their members.”

Church makes people feel good about themselves for being there no matter that it is mostly bullshit these days. I’m waiting for the preachers to tell everyone that trannys should be accepted into the fold and perform the tranny/homo weddings. Entertainment costs money so is it really exploiting the sheep who tithe to the church they attended this morning? Did it really get them closer to God?

War is a racket, religion is a racket, government is a racket all designed to part the sheep from their money. I still think religion is good for some people but I just can’t agree with the liberal mindset creeping into Christian church doctrine.

Bea ….Jesus Christ is not a Racket . He is God our Lord and Saviour or he is a devil.

I can’t say much about these Mega churches. I have heard about pastors running afoul of the law due to the fact that:
1. they are not ordained anybody can claim to be a minister in this land of free religion
2. they are ignorant wolves preying on even more ignorant sheep
3. the other option is state sponsored religion

Praise and glory to Lord Jesus Christ. If peeps truly believe faith in Him is a racket, their hearts are hard or they’ve been somehow deceived (all too common).
Other than that I’m with kokoda.

I formerly lived in Charlotte and went down to Jim & Tammy’s PTL estate for their annual Christmas lights drive-thru extravaganza. What a couple of Maroons! Just like Jon Oliver’s video.

beebs- Read my post again, it says religion is a racket. Does not mean I don’t believe in God. Religions are about money in the Christian faith and televangelists are con men. Period.

Yeshua never prayed in a church he went out into the countryside and prayed to the Jewish God Yawah. He also never claimed to be God. You don’t need organized religion, but if you want to enrich, say Pat Roberston, so he can buy diamond minez…go for it.

Hey. Stucky

I went to church today. I sat with some other Believers on a beach in Baja. We sang some praise songs while watching pelicans dance around and then reviewed the story from II Chronicles 20 about good King Jehosophat and his plea to God to help him battle the Moabites and Ammonites who had gathered against his kingdom for attack the following day. The spirit of The Lord fell upon Jahaziel the priest, who said “Listen, all Jerusalem and all you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you King Jehoshaphat, The Lord says to you ‘Don’t be dismayed because of these great armies, for the battle is not yours, but God’s…You shall not need to fight this battle: set yourselves, stand still, and see the salvation of The Lord with you, Judah and Jerusalem: don’t fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them for The Lord will be with you.'” The next day, the Moabites and Ammonites were distracted by a conflict with the people of Mt. Seir as the Hebrews went out to meet them singing songs of praise to God. The three armies destroyed each other and the people of God spent three days gathering the spoils of the battle.

I was reminded of the many times God has battled on my behalf and was encouraged about the present battles I face. I had spent the day before helping to put on a church conference for some local pastors. Surprisingly, some teenagers, boys and girls, showed up, eager to participate. They sat for five hours of biblical instruction, never once looking at a cell phone because they are too poor to own cell phones. After church we delivered several bags of food to the pastor of a tiny church in a pretty spot next to a little bay. Buying the food was no sacrifice for us, but hIs family sometimes goes hungry.

I submit to you that this kind of faith-inspired activity goes on far more than you realize and is much more indicative of the normal activities of many, many Christian congregations. The corrupt evangelists and their followers are a small subset of Christianity, but they get far more attention than healthy practitioners of the faith. Oliver’s show was funny and accurate. Maybe some time he will figure out how to get the same level of entertainment value out of Christianity of another kind.

Well, I think that the last time Jesus was in church he got a little upset about some money and bartering issues going on there and started throwing furniture around. But, I agree he probably did go to church with Joseph and Mary occasionally when he was very young and played his Nintendo on mute while the rabbi was speaking to the congregation. Then, after he took up fishing with a dozen of his best pals, they kind of made church where ever they decided to stop and pray and praise.

That, in a nutshell, is how I understand it.

The only thing DUMBER than believing in the existence of a fictitious supernatural being who watches over you and intervenes in your favor when necessary is the belief that you might need a MIDDLEMAN to communicate with it.
