WHO OWNS YOU?

Watch the damn video.  Then tell me if Josie is;

A) Right on the money

B) Delusional

C) A starry-eyed dreamer

D) Other  (make sure you explain it)

On a practical level, I do know this. If I don’t obey the laws, or pay the taxes, then I will damned well know who owns my fat ass ….. the prison. So, I pay and obey. I guess I’ll never escape my slavery. And that just fuckin’ sucks ass!.

I’d say A and C. She’s absolutely right of course. The guy I know who hasn’t paid taxes in over a decade doesn’t live a happy life. He scrapes by on mostly cash jobs (which are harder and harder to come by for a tech worker) and has his bank accounts emptied for him on a fairly regular basis. No hearing, no trial – they just sweep any money he has. If you can think of a way to live without a bank account it could probably be done. The folks in Waco probably had something like that going on – a tight community working on a barter/cash system… and you see where that got them.

I believe she is right. However most of us who have seen true anarchy realize that it’s not a productive way to go….

Everclear has it pretty close though.

You say they taught you to read and write
Yeah they taught you how to count
I say they tought you how to buy and sell your own body by the pound
I think you like to be their simple toy
I think you love to play the clown
I think you are blind to the fact that the hand you hold is the hand that holds you down.

Bernie Sanders Interview: ‘The Business Model of Wall Street Is Fraud’

Most people are sick and tired of the system as it is now. And they are once again attempting to reject the status quo, having been badly disappointed by Obama and the Congress. And this gives rise to popular movements and even third parties.

The biggest problem with popular movements is that they either tend to be co-opted by the most powerful in the status quo and used badly, misdirected and deceived, as in the case of the Tea Party, or diffused by too many factions and lack of prioritization resulting in a lack of effective cohesion, as in the case of the Occupy Movement.

And so we have the ascendancy of the Wall Street wing of the Democratic Party, and the Koch Brothers wing of the Republicans.

And the corrupting power of Big Money underlies all of it, in part thanks to the Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United that defined corporations as having the rights but not the obligations of people, and money as free speech, while doing nothing to remediate the actual use of free speech by real people except in special zones and restricted venues, subject to some of the most oppressive abuse of the secrecy laws..

Contrast this with the anti-War movement of the 1960’s which was driven by a single issue: end the war in Vietnam. The message was simple and clear, and it took hold, fritghtening the political establishment and hounding first Johnson to withdraw, and then Nixon to be so weakened and desperately foolish that he caused his own downfall.

And so we have the more focused, non-establishment campaigns of Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump shaking up the accepted norms in political campaigning wisdom.

I would like to think that finally, after all these misspent years, the ‘same old same old,’ no matter how artfully the spin machines may brand them, cannot win again.

The probability for change is higher now than in the past. But how it eventually turns out is another question. The electoral process is still very young, and many things may happen between now and next November. And the power of money and of powerful connections between the shadow government and the moneyed interests is still there, still lurking in the shadows and pulling strings.

Interesting times.

The District of Criminals have broken the Social Contract and we need a Communist Counter Revolution that fires all the Useful Idiots everywhere. We need guidance from WDC for good state management like a body needs cancer for good health.

Robert,

A Communist revolution only replaces one set of self serving rulers with another set that has even less tolerance since communists, as demonstrated at every point in their history, become totalitarian thugs as rulers in the name of the greater good of the collective with absolutely no use for any individuals residing within it.

That’s why the Communists have to build walls with guards on them to keep their masses in and we (should if we had any sense) need to build fences to keep them out.

She is B & C….. she just doesn’t get it….

If you truly want to be free, then you must disconnect from society. I mean everything!! Anything made with taxation money, including intellectual property, must be completely abandoned.

Can’t be done you say? EXACTLY!!

That my friends is why we have the FSA. At least they have got it all figured out!!

Of course if we all joined the FSA, you would have total collapse.

(Side note: my buddy of 65 years never paid a dime of taxes, or was employed, in his life.
I paid mine(taxes), and then some.
He has more wealth than I ever will see. So you see….. the FSA really is the way to go)

I think Robert didn’t express himself well. I suspect he meant that what’s needed is a counter revolution against the communism that has corrupted the West. If the latter is what he meant, I agree.

No What Robert really meant was he hopes a new set of real communist revolutionary guards come in and kill the old communist revolutionary guards now in power. At least it would be a change. Remember how that reporter at the New York Times justified the Bolshevik mass murder….. You got to break a few eggs to make an omlet….

Is it easy, no…it’s it worth it, YES!!

If you aren’t willing to peacefully withhold that which is YOURS, because you’re afraid, from those who use it to commit murder and enslave you further with YOUR property then you will NEVER pick up a gun when the time comes…EVER.

I can here the tough smack talk already…but that doesn’t change that simple FACT.

Josie is partially correct and wrong in that society has rulers who have become the owners of capital and offer us some of that capital for ourselves if we submit to the owners rules and labour accordingly. We are also members of society and unless we are sociopaths or visionaries we submit to the myths of the imagined order,. capitalism, fascism, feudalism Christian fundamentalism etc, a particular society demands of its members. Our current society has the myth of individualism/capitalism and romanticism as God given or the laws of nature. Feudalism had the myths of knowing your place in society and what others thought of you, your good name was more important than death as God given. To change the imaginary order of the current situation we must imagine another set of more powerful myths and the order they present. Is Josie imagining more powerful myths?

Roark – that’s exactly what the guy I know does. He hasn’t filed in over a decade. Hasn’t gone to jail, and hasn’t even gone to court. But it seems the IRS “calculated” based on his past filings what his current income is and said “you owe us $x” all without a hearing. Now they sweep his accounts on a regular basis, so he keeps as little as possible in there until it’s time to pay a bill. Theft? Sure sounds like it. Curious if your experience is the same. Maybe you don’t have any bank accounts or credit cards?

To “Administrator”

Not sure what your point is by the cartoon. You apparently believe you’re a “citizen of the United States” and have an obligation to sign things that you don’t want to….there’s the problem, what is a “citizen of the United States” Do you even REALLY know? It’s only on EVERY and I mean E.V.E.R.Y. thing you sign from any gummint or financial institution…that is KEY. If it is just fear that drives and that’s the be all, end all for you, then fine, SAY IT.

But please don’t say it can’t be done…you can’t be a “citizen of the United States” and be free.

Josie Outlaw is may kind of gal. She is right for a very few of us. She is wrong for the vast majority. The problem is not employers, bosses, politicians and who ever all makes up the TPTB that own the people.

The problem is people. They are not capable of governing themselves. They never have and never will. They are sheep. They are beasts of burden. They are slaves. They must be told what to do. They always seek protection. They always want to follow. They always cave in to fear. They bitch, they moan but they never take a stand that might cause them harm or be placed in a smaller cell with concrete walls than the cell without walls they exist in. They do not truly want freedom and liberty. They do not deserve freedom and liberty. If they were truly free they would freak out, go nuts, be miserable, go postal and starve.

The invisible chains of debt, institutionalized respect for authority , nationalism, patriotism and propaganda hold slaves better and with less rebellion than any chains made of iron.

One day, maybe tomorrow or maybe many years distant the larger systems of oppression will turn on themselves and be destroyed. Smaller more local practical systems of government will develop in the ashes of centralized government. But make no mistake, there will always be Masters and there will always be Slaves.

But more likely we are all just flat out Doomed and Doomed hard. Every last man, women and child will get hammered by hellish engines of chaos and blood. Unbridled freedom will be thrust upon us and all manner of horror and destruction will follow. Few will survive and the ones that do will rise up to build a new civilization every bit as bad or worse than the one before. This is the way of the Human Race.

Greetings,

My highest obligation is to myself. It isn’t to the government, my neighbors or the FSA. Greetings,

I agree. I’m an Anarchist (anarcho-capitalist) and I’m not a big fan of how that word has been twisted by the MSM. Of course, a lot of people that call themselves anarchists are actually communists and would love nothing more than a collectivist society. I, for one, am convinced that the very foundation of civilization must be private property – property that no state can ever take. Beyond that, I am in favor of competition to include competing currencies.

As long as the people can not own property free and clear and must do trade with a monopolistic currency then, yes, someone does own us.

Finally, I am very much in favor of listening to other voices here even when I do not agree with them. The very last thing I wish is to live in my own echo chamber.

She is an anarchist.

Taxes on your “labor” more properly your time is a function of our not using the money specified in the constitution under article 1 section 8 clause 5 and 2. If payment of wages are not issued by the treasury then it is a taxable event. You pay a tax on those wages as it is congresses job to regulate notes issued AS money by banks in lieu of constitutional treasury money.
