QUOTE OF THE DAY

“This is the crowd that wants power rather than recovery- the crowd that for twelve years was in power, that tried the very policies which ended in the greatest smash in our economic history; the crowd that willed this administration a debt of 20 billions and a demoralized, prostrate country; yet they have the sublime audacity to propose that we go back to the very policies which wrecked the country.”

Marriner S. Eccles, Memo to FDR, December 1935

Hoover’s policies? Weren’t those the models for the policies inflicted on the republic by FDR and the National Socialist Democrat American Party from 1933 forward?

Interference from an outside source -in this case government- usually prevents a system from correcting itself in a sustainable manner.

Which means more interference is required on an ongoing basis to maintain the illusion of correction.

This works until it no longer does. I think the time when it will no longer work is at hand, but hopefully I’m wrong.
