DO WE REALLY NEED MORE LAWS?

The Terrorists broke the law by conspiring to commit a mass-murder.
-They broke the law by illegally transporting weapons.
-They broke the law by concealing weapons without a permit.
-They broke the law by possessing unregistered semi-automatic guns.
-They broke the law by possessing guns with Illegal features and parts.
-They broke the law by possessing “high” capacity magazines.
-They broke the law by bringing guns to a gun-free zone.
-They broke the law by going armed to the terror of the public.
-They broke the law by constructing bombs.
-They broke the law by detonating bombs in an attempt to assault and murder.
-They broke the law by brandishing weapons.
-They broke the law by assaulting people with weapons.
-They broke the law by attempting to murder people with weapons.
-They broke the law by murdering people with weapons.
-They broke the law by disobeying Police orders.
-They broke the law by evading Police.
-They broke the law by attempting to murder Police Officers.
-They broke multiple traffic laws during the pursuit.
-They broke the law by endangering the public during the car chase and the police shoot-out.
-They broke the law by resisting arrest.
But we need to create more laws to stop this from happening…

Exactly the point. The most direct way to stop this is for more Americans to carry guns. The sooner the better.

Good News Folks!!! We are at peak laws!!! Soon, as the Corporate State takes over we can all relax with massively reduced laws. Whew.
Implanted Chips, self driving cars, smart grids, e-money, soon every concievable human action will be auto regulated, and there will be no opportunity to violate laws(except for removing the chip, baaad kitty, dont do that critical support systems will auto shut down, bad).
Utopia is close comrades. The technocrats are here to relieve us of our legal burden, YaY technocrats!!

In fairness, the particular laws against these things are wholly unconstitutional. The rest of the list seems mostly OK.

For every new law that is passed, 10 old laws should be repealed.

If we did that, eventually liberty might be restored.

Greetings,

I say that they should go exponential with new laws and have so many, that, in fact, nothing remains legal. We’re pretty damn close to it now and once every single action taken is illegal, then nothing is illegal. The Law – the glue that holds our civilization together, will lose all dignity and respect. Then the fun really begins and regardless of the outcome, the transition will be terrific.

I read a reort from a senator , or it was a youtoub clip where the senator said that the purpose of all the laws where so that they could have power over people . He summed it up nicely saying that they couldn’t do a friggen thing to a lawabiding person . They had no leverage. So they create laws to have a legal fiction of leverage over individual people

More laws would give more things to prosecute people for.

That’s the real purpose, moving honest people into the criminal class.

A strategy that may end up backfiring on its promoters ad the law becomes so difficult to obey that law abiding gun owners shift their emphasis from being law abiding to just not getting caught with no regard for the laws involved.

That’s what brought an eventual end to Prohibition, everyone just started ignoring the law and avoided being caught instead.

“Did you really think we want those laws observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them to be broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against… We’re after power and we mean it….
There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system, Mr. Reardon, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.” ― Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged
