F**K TARGET

Leon Walls, (pictured 44, was found guilty last month on charges including attempted homicide after grabbing Allison Meadows during the March 2013 incident Meadows, who was visiting the area from Tennessee, was grabbed by Walls near the checkout line as her mother looked on in horror

In 2013, Michael Turner saved the life of a 16-year-old girl who had been viciously attacked and stabbed in a Target store in Pennsylvania. And instead of thanking him for protecting its customers and preventing them from being murdered, Target is now suing him for his heroism and alleging he acted irresponsibly.

The attacker, Leon Walls, was convicted of attempted homicide for stabbing then-16-year-old Allison Meadows in 2013.

Security footage from the store shows Walls grabbing Meadows and stabbing her before Turner tackles the knife-wielding perp and chases him out of the store with a baseball bat.

Meadows and her family vehemently disagree with Target’s legal assault on Turner, calling Turner’s actions heroic and crediting them with preventing Meadows’ murder. The Meadows family has sued the store, claiming that the retail company had inadequate security, and alleging that the store, by suing Turner, is just trying to blame someone else for Target’s own refusal to protect the safety and security of its customers.

“Suing Michael Turner is just Target’s way of trying to blame someone else for what happened under their own roof,” an attorney for the Meadows family said, “The family certainly doesn’t blame Mr. Turner and they are thankful he was there that day.”

Target, however, is no stranger to charges that it puts parochial corporate politics ahead of its customers’ safety.

Target has come under fire recently after announcing that all retail locations would allow customers to use whatever restroom they want regardless of their biological sex. As a result, women may suddenly find themselves sharing a bathroom with grown men. Many women’s rights activists believe Target’s new policy needlessly puts vulnerable women at risk of sexual assault and deprives them of their right to safety and privacy.

Target’s policy has raised questions nationwide about whether men who merely claim to be women should be allowed in the same bathroom as women. On Monday, a female security officer at a Giant supermarket in Washington, D.C., was arrested after telling a man to leave the women’s restroom in the store. In Toronto, a serial sexual predator pretended to be a transgender woman named Jessica in order to prey on women at a battered women’s shelter.

Trial proceedings over Target’s lawsuit against the man who rescued a 16-year-old girl from being stabbed to death will begin Monday. Meadows and her family will attend the court proceedings, ABC News Channel 9 reports.

Go to Target, load up 2 large carts with as much shit as possible. Get in line. When you get to the cashier say…is this the store that allows men to use the women’s room? When he/she says yes, simply leave all that shit right where it is and walk out.

Stucky, is that a shitty way to treat a store?

I haven’t shopped at Target since they banned the Salvation Army at Christmas and they seem to have gone rapidly downhill since then.

But decide for yourself who you will support with your own shopping at the businesses that reflect your values.

Target has got to be one of the most poorly run companies in North America. They came into Canada and thought they would kick ass by opening over 100 stores in the space of a year or two. A year or two later they were all shut down. Who the hell does something like this? Pathetic.

It’s seems simple to me. Don’t. Shop. At. Target.

They are incompetent and malicious.

Target had an epic hack of their customers’ debit/credit card data because they had an affirmative-action hire in charge of their cyber security. And how did they respond to this? The stupid f-ers let it happen again! They were already hurting before they decided to let perverts into their Ladies Rooms. A definite ‘sell’ on that stock.

Remember to have lots of fresh meat in the bottom of your full shopping cart when you abandon it in the aisle.

You have to wonder if the big dogs are short their own stock and are running it into the ground on purpose. The only one who might run Target worse is the Bern.

I’m not defending Target in any way, shape or form here but the Meadows family is fucking retarded:

“The Meadows family has sued the store, claiming that the retail company had inadequate security, and alleging that the store, by suing Turner, is just trying to blame someone else for Target’s own refusal to protect the safety and security of its customers.”

WTF do they want? Perhaps TSA goons at every store across the country? Suing Turner is a fucking tragedy but what exactly do they expect from Target? (besides the giant ca ching! payday) Full body searches, X-rays, pat downs of every customer? Even if Target had security in place, what are the odds that said security would have been close enough to save their daughter? The Meadow family should stick to online shopping and make sure the delivery driver steps away from the door before they open it to accept the package.

This country makes no sense at all anymore. I think ‘Muricans have jumped the shark!

I quit shopping there when they banned concealed carry in their stores.
I did have to go in there once when my son got a Target gift card. I carried anyway, fuck ’em.

Rdawg – most states have specific and detailed requirements for how a store needs to inform people that legally carried guns aren’t allowed there. In my experience, very few stores observe state requirements, with the possible exceptions of some stores in NC and Texas. In my state I have yet to see a private business post a no-carry sign that is legally effective under our state law. In states that require it to be a specific type of sign, anything not complying is invalid and you can ignore it freely.

Target just went on my boycott list, right below walFart (coming up on 3 years…yeah, I mean it) and PlayPal.

Who wants to be next?

I have no patience for looney liberal corporate anything. They will not get my $$$.

Persnickety, that’s interesting. When I took my concealed carry permit course, the instructor mentioned the example of local movie theaters and the shopping mall posted no concealed weapons. He indicated that it is their right to prohibit weapons since it’s their property. But he also said that he personally did not feel it was lawful because it is a quasi-public space, and that sooner or later it would be challenged.
Right or wrong, I carry all the time in places I am not supposed to, going all the way back to my university days. I figure it’s my life at stake, and I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
