Do you have something to contribute or are you just going to hang around and act like an assclown? A wide variety of authors get quoted here daily.
I think the problem that people like you have with places like this is that it doesn’t fit your mould for intellectual exchange. It is liberal in the old sense of the word, uncontrolled, unfiltered and because there is no edit button or censorship it is honest. It is more akin to an ancient Greek gathering of Stoics than a modern university (thank God) and thus not to the liking of many. It is modern only insofar as the language and style of exchange is concerned. There is no sympathy here for lack of rational thinking or for an inability to make a point on something and defend it.
If you don’t like it you can leave. That you don’t says that something about this place fascinates you. For example: I don’t hang around Salon or Huff Post because I am not interested in listening to progressives trip over themselves in attempt to out do one another with political correctness. At some stage your presence points more towards the possibility that you are less a hater and more of a fan. I mean – where else can you say what you want and NOT have the administrator of the site censor or ban you. Your ideas will stand or fall here based on their merit. If they have any.

My life’s experience’s matter as perhaps a stepping stone for someone else, so why not talk about it, being’s I am people,(though my wife says I’m an animal), are you weak minded if you consider or discuss those experiences?
For that matter aren’t those experiences framed and initiated by preconcieved Ideas perhaps handed down by previous people’s experiences and so on!
For that matter Ideas are made by people,or better yet people are an Idea! But I hope you know who’s it was! Which came first the people or the Idea?
