Maybe this mindset is too “extreme”, or maybe it’s exactly what is needed and currently lacking…

“I wake up early, I wake up at 0445….I like to have that psychological win over the enemy. And when I wake up in the morning, and I don’t know why, I’m thinking about the enemy and what they’re doing. There is a guy that’s in a cave somewhere, and he’s rocking back and forth, and he’s got a machine gun in one hand, and a grenade in the other hand. And he’s waiting for me, and we’re gonna meet. When I wake up in the morning, I’m thinking to myself, what can I do to be ready for that moment, which is coming” – Jocko Willink

Interesting guy, I would not fuck with him.
Bob.
Bob,
Indeed, it would not be smart to fuck with him.
I stumbled across his interview on Joe Rogan’s Podcast about 6 months ago, I then listened to his interview on Tim Ferris, read his book on leadership and am subscribed to his podcast. I have enacted things I’ve learned in this short time and have experienced greater life clarity, improved perspective and focus.
I don’t agree with everything he has to say but can’t help but respect him and recommend his musings to others who need to be more disciplined and tougher.
I’ll just say I’m closer to that way of thinking then that of the sheep. Just stay alert.
Thanks Harry. I will check out his podcast tonight if I have time.
Bob.
and for anyone else who is interested, it is up to #27

or
there is a focus on leadership, getting stronger, tougher, smarter, BJJ, tactics of war (even did a review of “The Art of War” by Sun Tzu). its some serious shit from someone who doesn’t seek “safe spaces.”
Silver Star, Bronze Star? They don’t give those away, a man has to earn them in combat. I saw this dude a couple of times on Faux News, very impressive. I also recommend “Thoughts of a Philosophical Fighter Pilot” by Jim Stockdale. He was a POW for a number of yrs, a Medal of Honor winner and Ross Perot’s running mate. Heavy on character, courage and Stoicism, an excellent read.

..Since he’s waiting for me, there’ll be no element of surprise.
I’d argue that in a one on one, the guy in the cave, in this instance, has the advantage. Whilst waiting for He-Man he could have, and likely has, set up some formidable defences. ..”Come into my parlour said the spider to the fly”..

-Train a Martial Art(s)
-Be disciplined
-Eat well
-Constantly improve and learn
-Spend time with family and close friends

-Wake up early
-Build relationships with good people of high character
Shit, these are all things I’d be doing or are doing anyway…
