The only place left to be free in the country is in your own mind if you are not so over programmed as to be able to have your OWN thoughts. Happy 4th to those who think freely. 🙂

For the first time ever, police will be erecting a temporary miles long fence with entry gates to the beach where beach goers will be searched for alcohol and fireworks (Santa Cruz, CA). This is different than what occurs at sports venues or concerts in that private property is not involved. This somehow strikes me as an unreasonable search and seizure , and worse than a dui checkpoint in that there are no other ways onto the beach (except I suppose via the ocean). There are also triple fines for such. While illegal fireworks have been a “problem” in the past, the ocean is the safest such place for them, and I kind of like them myself since there are no other official fireworks venues in the city. Yeah, I don’t like it and as a trend, I don’t like it even more.
The government expanding its reach. Do we have potty popo yet?

@ thetruthonly …….Well, that sucks. I’ll bet that all the people line up diligently to be violated as they wear American flag hats and T-shirts and murmur to their families that this is for the good of all.
I hope they are wearing those same shirts when they are being stuffed into boxcars.
