This is proven in the current electoral climate.
Neither party, (nor any candidate), has obtained a majority on any issue.
On any issue more than 50% of the general population were opposed to the policy of the party and/or candidate.
The candidates have a hard time getting a majority within their own supporters!

Another path? Perhaps. Suppose that the Crunch destroys the Grid, down to the wires which can no longer be replaced. Nothing electrical above 110V or 230V (local generation) works. Cannot call LA from NYC without a satellite phone, and no guarantee another satellite phone will pick up. Cannot coordinate 50 states sufficiently, so that governors do what they can, have to, want to in that order. Some turn into Commiefornia, some turn into the Republic of Texas; no sane commander wants to invade either to restore Federal control. There is no way the Federals could feed, direct or command them anyway due to lack of resources. The groups with the best tactics, commanders and weapons control each state.
It would be extremely painful and most would die. The survivors would not be concerned with gender (real or trans), hate speech, transfer payments, television or Kardashians. They might choose to restore the original Constitution, maybe with a few amendments outlining a right to privacy, to be left alone by EVERYONE if desired and to eliminate fractional reserve banking, or go full totalitarian. Whatever happens, it will be full participation, because there will be no alternative to taking care of yourself.

The Majority want a wall, the US as a Muslim free zone and the public education system to start providing real educations for our property taxes (most grads now cost society about $250,000 and then go on Welfare). We want the budget balanced (although liberals on the back of the Military and Conservatives on the back of Welfare).
