WHAT I PUT UP WITH ON THE SCHUYLKILL EXPRESSWAY

How I’ve survived the last ten years on the Schuylkill Expressway is a mystery when assholes like this are driving alongside me.

Woman caught on video texting while driving with feet

In a cell phone video sent exclusively to Action News, the female driver can be seen with her eyes glued on the phone with both hands typing.

It was a case of reckless driving so egregious Sarah and Shawn Delong had to record it.

“Someone is going to get killed, that’s why I was so mad. You see people on their phones all the time, but that took the cake,” Sarah told Action News Wednesday night.

From the passenger seat of their car, Sarah started recording on her phone.

The Delongs followed the woman’s car for quite a while, and her distracted driving continued.

“For a good 20 minutes we were in her vicinity whether it was beside her or behind her,” Sarah said.

Sarah and Shawn did try to get her to stop her dangerous activity.
“At one point we beeped at her and I yelled ‘get off your phone!’ And she looked and smirked at me and went right back to doing whatever it was on her phone,” Sarah said.

“I’ve seen people reading and writing with their documents, but not driving with your feet!” Shawn said.

The Delongs say there were points where the woman was swerving.

“To see her on 76 and then going down towards Center City, that I couldn’t believe,” Shawn said.

But when reckless drivers like this don’t stop, and end up in an emergency room, trauma surgeon Dr. Pak Leung at Einstein Medical Center says it’s frustrating to know they’ve risked their lives for a simple text.

Dr. Leung explains, “The number is definitely going up. I think about three year ago we’d probably see one maybe every other day. But now we tend to see it if not one, two times a day.”

Sarah tells us she did get the license plate number on the car and called state police, but they haven’t gotten back to her. However, Action News spoke to Philadelphia Police, who explain that police officers have to catch the person in the act. Other than that, it’s pretty hard for them to do anything.

Incredibly, the video is not unique to our area.

Just last week, a Colorado woman was caught texting while speeding down the interstate with one leg propped up on the dashboard.

A worried passenger in the next car captured the 47 second clip and posted it to Facebook.

It has since been seen and shared thousands of times.

People are morons, that’s fo sho. About 98 % of people follow too closely. It’s like there is a magnet in my back bumper and their front bumper, and the attraction is inexorable. Or maybe they can’t stand to be more than a car length away from another human being, otherwise they feel all alone in the universe. I guarantee the same people lack the brain function and motor skills to tie their shoes well, little alone brake without rear ending me at 75 mph. Obama and Hillary voters fo sho! They love death and don’t care about any other human life, not even their own.

Well, then, I suppose that means they’re scrapping their red light cameras. Won’t the DHS be disappointed?

Nothing new here folks. Years ago, pre-texting, I was making the run from Florida back to the mountains. Somewhere in South Carolina, after sunset, when everyone was driving with lights on, a certifiable yuppie female went flying by driving a Volvo in the passing lane. No headlights, but she had the dome light on so she could read the hardback set on her steering wheel. Rolling along at speed with her nose in a book.

Sooooooo, are traffic and security cameras similarly ignored? I guess getting caught on camera murdering cops would be dismissed because they weren’t caught in the act.
Do these worthless parasites ever listen to the shit that comes out of their mouths?

The cops are too busy parked looking for a decent driver going 5 over, put them in unmarked looking for dangerous drivers. That would reduce injuries far more. But it is more work and might reduce revenues.

i personally can eat a sandwich, drink a pop, turn a corner, shift gears, talk on the phone and masturbate all at the same time, but most people don’t have my skills, so they should just drive. If necessary they can have their passenger give them a hand job.

Same stuff everywhere. Idiots kill people and don’t care about anyone but themselves. They need their asses kicked.

Did you not know that “mentally handicapped” are not denied a drivers license? To do so is considered hateful and discriminatory. Mentally incompetent individuals have as much right to the road you drive as you and your sane, responsible children do. To believe otherwise is Verboten! And YOU are now a thought criminal for daring to verbalize your disdain for dangerous, mentally handicapped drivers.

And we should all be thankful that Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton are chauffeured.

You idiot, “Schuylkill” is a Dutch term. See Wiki-bloody-pedia:

As kill means "creek" and schuylen (now spelled schuilen) means "to hide, skulk" or "to take refuge, shelter", one explanation given for this name is that it translates to "hidden river", "skulking river" or "sheltered creek" and refers to the river's confluence with the Delaware River at League Island, which was nearly hidden by dense vegetation. Another explanation is that the name properly translates to "hideout creek"

I’ve lived my entire life in South Jersey. What you’re talking about are “Pennsylvania drivers,” and I was taught to consider a Pennsylvania tag as a highway hazard.

The only reason PA drivers are so bad nowadays is because of all of the Jersey cocksuckers that moved to PA in the 80s.

One of the most common things you jerkoffs did back then was hanging in the passing lane going 5 under the posted limit not passing anybody. Stay out of the fucking left lane unless you’re passing.

North Jersey assholes.

And they’re most of ’em Noo Yawkuhs and Pennsylvania expatriates, not from South Jersey. The same cucks and FSA types voting Dimocrats into the state government. Or hadn’t you noted that?

I left 15 years ago. The whole eastern part of PA has turned into a shithole with few exceptions. When visiting friends I feel so very glad to have gotten out when I did. Yeah, I forgot to mention the NY putzes, but 95% of the time the tag was yellow/tan toilet water color with black letters & said Garden State. Look at all the dee-ah. It was from the Poconos to south of Quakertown/Doylestown & beyond. I remember the sign on the PA side of the east/west T/P bridge that said “Welcome to PA, America starts here”. Camden is south Jersey. The Belvedere/Water Gap area & maybe far south Jersey down past Atlantic City was OK. You can take the boy out of Joisey, but even bleach wont take the Joisey out of the boy.

There should be a law making this illegal, that would put a halt to it.

If she kills someone she can just get off by using the “Hillary Clinton Defense”
