The Elite “Have No Idea” – Society Is Near The Breaking Point

By Chindit13 Via Zerohedge

What I find most surprising today is that the insiders and the elite have no idea what is percolating just beneath the surface.  Okay, maybe their arrogance actually produces its own fog, so it should not come as a surprise that they are blinded. They do not look at the calendar, which, if one really looks, says “1788” on it.  Something is close.  Very close.  Society is near the breaking point.

My own experience is that Hillary’s so-called Deplorables are actually the most reserved, most polite, and most honest demographic in the country. They are more informed, more self-reliant, and among other things, better armed.  Regarding their arms, they are incredibly responsible, and not the source of the violence for which the implement, and not the person, is too often blamed.  The Deplorables have the longest fuse.  It is, however, a fuse.

Alt Left, on the other hand, are the Neo Fascists and Neo Neocons.  It is Alt Left that thinks Free Speech means THEIR speech only.  It is Alt Left that needs ‘safe spaces’ and wants to enforce thought crime.

It is Alt Left, and its media lapdog sites, that is heavily into censorship of ideas that diverge from their approved ideology.  It is Alt Left that champions regime change and ratcheting up the rhetoric against Russia. It is Alt Left that believes it has an inherent right, even an obligation, to lie and obfuscate if it serves their greater purpose.

Perhaps most significant is that it is Alt Left who so quickly resorts to violence and vandalism when confronted with people and ideas with which it takes exception.  Never has that been as clear as in this election cycle.

The Deplorables, however, are not possessed of infinite patience. Like a capacitor, there is a charge building, and at some point it will be released into the circuitry of society.

The media and other insiders believe themselves to be immune.  That thought no doubt results from being immersed inside a cocoon where dissonant voices are not allowed.  When the levee breaks, or the capacitor releases its charge, they are going to be gob smacked.

Precious few of them are anywhere near as immune as they believe themselves to be.  Additionally, what they might think, or hope, is their support, their security, their safe space, doesn’t really exist.

Most of society’s guardians, whether they are law enforcement or military, are card-carrying members of the Deplorables.

France was similarly constructed in the late 1780s.  The elite were isolated only in thought, not in reality.  Their protection was of a Potemkin Village nature: not actually there, but merely a facade that gave them false comfort.

They paid dearly for their arrogance and ignorance.

History may not repeat, but it does rhyme.  The calendar really does seem to say 1788, so 1789—and 1792–are not as far off as some would like to believe.

This is not a call to arms, but it is a call to reality.  Ignore it at your own peril.

Some may see these words as a threat.  They are not.  They are, however, a warning, and a warning from someone who is a student of history.

Every society eventually reaches a breaking point.  Ours is nearly there.  Some of those who might feel threatened, the so-called elite and insiders, think that they can buy protection as easily as they can buy a Gulfstream.  How naïve!  Who are the private security contractors?  Who are the various SOGs?  Like law enforcement and the rest of the military, they are the Deplorables.  The Deplorables will take your money, but you will not take their lives.  Better said, they won’t give up their lives for you or your family.  The security you believe you have purchased is an illusion.  Make that delusion.  Best to get that out front here and now.

Some who feel threatened, or nervous, might fall back on the tired adage of ‘We gave them (the Deplorables) everything; what do they think they will do without us?’  Well, the use of ‘we’ is arrogant, because those who have actually produced something of value are few and far between.  Industrialists, for lack of a better term, are those who produced for society things of lasting value.  There are few true industrialists today, and many who still remain have shipped their production overseas, jacking up the compensation of bonus-based execs, but contributing to the hollowing out of America.  The true industrialists did produce the cars, trucks, machine tools, generators, servers and even computers.  They produced lifesaving medicines and treatments.  They made steel plants and built railroads.

They produced jobs.  They even produced the guns that the Deplorables have by the hundreds of millions. The Deplorables recognize that entire contribution.

Mark Zuckerberg, however, is not Henry Ford.  Jack Dorsey is not Andrew Carnegie.  Mark Benioff is not John Rockefeller.  Lloyd Blankfein is not John Pierpont Morgan.  (Elon Musk might turn out to be someone of significance, if he is allowed to fail and is forgiven for it.  Time will tell.)  The old Robber Barons, despite their faults, did produce things of lasting value.

What did these new ‘titans of industry’ give us?  Facebook?  Snapchat?

Twitter?  They gave us banality and pabulum.  Some embraced it, despite its triteness, perhaps because all other meaning had already been lost, like America’s exported jobs.  These new titans, Neo Titans, did little more than help dumb down society.  They made America less productive, less curious, more pedestrian.  Maybe they think they gave us the internet, but credit for that goes to DARPA, which is to say the military, which is to say the Deplorables.  The Neo Titans gave America nothing, at least nothing positive.  Social networking?  Gaming?  Selfies?

The Deplorables can live without the silly oxymoron called social networking, which, as anyone who looks at it objectively knows, is anything but social.  We don’t care what two thousand of our fake friends had for breakfast, or what Andrew Ross Sorkin thinks of the latest Presidential debate.  He probably thinks we do.  After all, he has ‘Twitter Followers’, whom he assumes live and die by his every Tweet.  We can live without that.  I wonder if his ego can?  He, and those of his ilk, are merely Kim Kardashians without knowing it.  They are the talentless dishing out white bread to the emotionally and spiritually starved.

Some might think this is all Trump’s fault.  Again, that shows a degree of ignorance and naïveté which characterizes the elite.  Trump is a symptom, not a cause.  He might even be a salve, as the changes he could bring might defuse some of the current anger.

On the other hand, Hillary is a lit match in a room of dynamite.  She, like many of the self-important, thinks her very existence is a favor to the rest of us.  She epitomizes the absolute worst of what America has become.  Above the law, wealthy not through accomplishment, but through influence peddling only, and a bull in a china shop in terms of her effect on both the country and the world—and I apologize to bulls for that analogy.  The world is more unstable because of her.

America is less safe because of her.  Russia and the US—the two largest nuclear powers—are more at odds because of her.  With her in power, we will reach the breaking point at home and internationally, perhaps leading to ‘accidental’ nuclear war, as the heightened rhetoric impacts clear thinking.  Society is more stratified because of her.  Race relations have deteriorated because of her (and Obama).

There are few current ills in society and in geopolitics that cannot be laid at her feet, at least to some extent.  The Great Deceiver to many, who exhibits an astonishing aversion to truth telling, is enough to make even an agnostic wonder if the anti-Christ hasn’t finally arrived for its three and a half years of rule.

A recently hacked email of John Podesta finds him saying “she (Hillary) has begun to hate everyday Americans”.  No doubt the same feelings were voiced by Nicolas Ceaucescu.  It turned out the feeling was mutual.

Elect Hillary, and continue with business as usual, and it is likely this warning will become an epitaph for the America we know.  Society may collapse regardless, because the rot is already very great, but she will hasten the day of reckoning.

The Deplorables have already considered what is coming.  They are as prepared as they can be.  Years of decline have enabled many to build their survival skills, to make due with less, to build real communities where one man can trust another, to discover what is truly important and what can and should be salvaged from this society.

Outside of that demographic, however, people are stark naked.  They are vulnerable in ways they simply cannot imagine.  They are unprepared and unskilled for what will matter most.  They are cannon fodder living on borrowed time.

History is full of examples of this sort of collapse.  We humans have always rolled along a sine wave of progress and decline, of civility and social unrest.  We think we have outgrown the sort of mayhem with which the history books are full, but that thought stems from recency bias.  Most of history—the vast majority—is not peaceful.

Societies are not, on average, stable and safe.  Thomas Hobbes knew that quite well, as evidenced in his most famous quote.  Humanity is likely on the verge of returning to the mean, and the mean is exactly that:  mean.  In case some have forgotten their Hobbes:  solitary, poor, nasty, brutish and short.

Have a nice day.

Good job Francis, I just sent this to Jim. Chindit13 has some comments in the comment section which are good. Here is one:

chindit13 LawsofPhysics Oct 15, 2016 4:05 AM
LawsofPhysics….The beauty of this site, when it is more than an echo chamber, is that alternative opinions are not censored. I hear and accept your ‘compliment’.
I agree with you that when societies become unhinged, if a thousand fall, 950+, maybe even 999, are Deplorables. For every Louis XVI or Nicolai Ceaucescu, there are a thousand Miserables. I am of the belief, however, that societies always progress and digress along the same path, following the same script, eventually reaching a boiling point, as those who reach the top of the mountain—and who have done everything possible to solidify their position—eventually begin to fight each other. Then the masses get involved, it all falls down, only to start all over again—toward the same eventual end. The underlying ideology doesn’t even matter, and the progression is the same in democracies or monarchies, capitalist or communist societies. Human nature is at the core. Life is at its core. Look at a wolf pack and you’ll see the same thing. I am not a romantic by any stretch.
Well, the folks at the top are now in the stage of fighting each other, which is why I think our current iteration is nearing its twilight. The places where the fissures are forming are not necessarily apparent, unless one has a peek through the door that is ajar.
Example: Obama wants to initiate a cyber-revenge against Russia for the supposed interference in the election. Those who would be tasked with putting the program together—-who are hardly ‘elite’ and mostly just GS12-15, or SIS salaried types—are not playing along. Yes, they can be replaced, but doing so is not easy. The kind of skill required to do that fetches a pretty good salary outside of .gov. Call me a wild idealist (but never a romantic), but there are actually some people who are true patriots. Maybe they are suckers, but they have their fingers on some important buttons.
Outside of .gov, you can even see fissures forming among the elite. While Hillary has the support of most of the hipster bearded Neo Titans (as named in my article), her support is not uniform across the entire spectrum of those we would call the elite. Trump has a few billionaires on his side, too.
Also, the very support Trump has is evidence that a critical mass among the masses is forming, which is the second factor necessary for a societal reset.
The elite will never disappear, as their ubiquitous and inevitable rise in every human society that has ever existed is likely a function of Darwinian Socialism. They are the “Fittest” in terms of some combination of intellect, ambition, manipulative ability and perhaps psychopathy. Their traits are by no means all pretty, so the term Fittest is not a compliment, but rather simply an objective term.
Like I said, however, we ride a sine wave. We rise, then we fall. Then we start the whole process all over again. All of the indications that emerged when previous societies have peaked, and then fallen, are present today not only in America, but the entire Western world. A hundred years from now the East will rule supreme—and they will ride the same sine wave.
This election, along with Brexit, is our Western turning point. Everything we have done has led up to this point: the massive debt, the empire overreach, the attempts to consolidate power with things such as the foolishly named Patriot Act, our Peak Political Correctness that sought to set the masses against each other by ‘celebrating our diversity’, rather than championing our commonalities.
Think about 9 November. Half of the US is going to be pissed off. Hillary, if she wins, will claim a mandate and try to play Imperial POTUS. I argue—and this is where we can disagree—that she lacks support in the key areas she needs to control to exert her influence, which is the military and the intel community. Even if she cleans the ranks at the top, that doesn’t mean she regains control, because the rank and file is not on board.
If Trump wins, there will be hand-wringing and genuine fear among those who have worked so hard to discredit him. He, too, however, lacks a support base among those he would need to assume effective control. Of course the gentle little snowflakes will riot, loot, try to take their toys and go home, but they will quickly be a spent force. They have no assets and no skills. They cannot go it alone.
Yes, it might take some time still, which is why I noted it is 1788, and not already Bastille Day, and certainly not yet at the Reign of Terror.
Now here’s something a bit funny, but illustrative. I happen to have a property that is 800 years old. It has three foot thick stone walls. It has a tower with a strategic placement. It even has its own quaint church (a kind of proof that all power, even that claiming to be divine, eventually falls). The windows on the ground floor are slits, through which one can see out and maybe shoot an arrow, but nobody can enter through them. The structure was purpose built. Every day I am reminded of what is the norm in human society, how brief periods of peace and security are sprinkled among much longer periods of strife, instability, general discord and societal upheaval. We have had an historically long period where those far more typical descriptives of human society have been hidden. We are overdue.
I am hesitant to say ‘this time is different’, but I cannot help but think that there is one aspect of modern society that is not quite the same as any past society. It is almost an oxymoron. While the power of the elite may never have been greater, the power of the individual, too, has never been greater. Go back 500 years and consider the ability of a single man to wreak havoc. He could take his broad ax or bow and arrows or mace and walk around town popping heads. He’ll get a few, and then get swarmed and slaughtered. Today a single guy with an AR-15 and several mags can take out hundreds. A guy driving a rental truck can squash nearly a hundred. Even that is nothing. A thousand like-minded guys with AR-15 can take out thousands before anyone can react. Still, even that is nothing. A trained biochemist with a bad attitude can take out a city—or even our entire species. A few guys with money and bad intent can accumulate what they need to make something dirty, especially if they hire AQ Khan. Yes, it won’t be Hiroshima, as constructing that takes infinitely more skill and precision, but it can nonetheless be ugly. The armed forces commercial from a decade ago is kind of true: An Army of One.
The ‘masses’ are thus not even necessary to bring society down. Society can flare up while they’re busy watching Dancing or Kim K, or playing Grand Theft Auto (I know absolutely nothing about any computer game after Pong, so excuse me if I picked the wrong one) and then the elite and .gov—who are nowhere near as competent as they are given credit for—flail away trying to put out fires whose source is not even known, while all the while others join in the side of the Deplorables. That is how it happens. That is how it has always happened…..until it all happens again.

and a second for those with lots of time on their hands:
chindit13 honestann Oct 15, 2016 7:43 AM
honestann—I have followed your missives over the years here at ZH, and have a kind of feel where your ideology lies as well as your plans for the ‘future’. My only concern is that you are not alone in your quest, and I fear that in the next iteration, you’ll open your door one day to see….Jeff Bezos. Now THAT is scary.
In the here and now, I am slightly more optimistic, though I am a realist at heart. Maybe we’ll all be vaporized, but I think we’ll just do what we always do: crash and start again, ending up in the same place eventually. That is how living things seem to work. I watch a family of birds build a nice nest, then along comes another pair who drives out the first and takes the already-built next. This corporeal form, from lichens up to us, operates by a biological imperative that you might as well just call Predatory.
Now for something less esoteric, as much as I agree with you that Hillary wants to play Gawd or Satan and bring about the Apocalypse, she cannot do it alone. Colin Powell was caught in a hacked email saying something I have found to be true: Nobody likes Hillary. Lots of people want to feed off her, but nobody—except maybe Huma and the Glue factory Refugee Chelsea—likes her.
Second—-and I mean this as a security assessment rather than a plan, just in case Comey is reading today—remember how some goofball jumped the fence and got to the 2nd floor of the WH before being caught? No security is perfect. Now imagine a trained team, with a plan, and absolutely uninterested in surviving. Let’s call them a Daesh Sleeper Cell. There are not that many SS types at the WH, thought there is a security force in the general area. Remembering that nobody likes Hillary, I’m not sure local LE would put down their donuts and come to the rescue. I’m not sure a career SS guy, making maybe $50K-$120K a year, with two small kids at home, is going to give it up for her, especially if he has a moment to think about it. I am not disparaging those guys; quite the opposite. All would have given it up for JFK, Reagan, Bush I and maybe even Bush II. Obama….iffy. Hillary? They are human and have human feelings. I can see one of them saying, ‘you know, my little Tiffany’s Birthday is next week, and that Tim Kaine guy seems pretty nice. I think he’d make a good POTUS.’ Call it the Karma Scenario.
Now I’ve jumped around here a bit, but to sum it up: I think this particular Empire Iteration is about over. It’s going to move East. I thiink we’ll go to the nuclear brink, then pull back. Lots of heads will roll, and it will not be pretty. Eventually we’ll get bored with mayhem (remember Beirut in the 70s? The Civil War just simply ended, as people got bored), and begin to rebuild. We’ll sing happy songs again, make sappy movies, get cute little dogs and kittens, wear leisure suits, then begin the process all over again. The cycle of life.
I’m prepared as I can be, and I will look forward to the day we decide to play nice again, so I—I guess similar to you—can continue on my own journey of trying to learn and know everything. Curiosity is the greatest attribute a human can have.

Honestann was talking about annihilation of the world like Generational Dynamics.

I second the excellent article; send more. Electing Harpy would be like electing Hugo Chavez: the FSA wins and the last columns (US producers) finally cannot support the FSA’s combined (dead) weight. Trump is wasting his breath talking about jobs; they just want more FS. Society will eventually be rebuilt but it will not be the FSA that does it and it will not reflect their values. PS: Trump is a faulty messenger but the message is true.

Why would the elites not know, they are the ones who are orchestrating the shitstorm? It is the sheep who are not seeing the “hidden hand” using their assets to say just the right scripted words that will eventually send the maroons to the streets to shed blood.

FM- With all due respect, you could not be more wrong in your assessment of elites and the loss of intel to the top . There is absolutely nothing different about this turning. Soros and others are proxy agents so can you name the actual star chamber members who direct such goings on? The internet may shed more light than usual and perhaps they are more in the daylight but that does not stop them from driving men mad in herds to fall into the same traps history has repeated over and over. If you spent decades working on the next shitstorm would you not keep close tabs on it’s progress to produce the results, war/revolution/fall of empire etc. that they have toiled to foment and nurtured along? How many top of the pyramid elites can you name that were ever exposed and made to pay for their deeds. Anyone in the history books who lost their heads or were hung from the so called ruling elite or dictators are certainly not top of the pyramid. They are the actors put in the positions as leaders.

FM- The ONLY thing top of the pyramid elites are afraid of is the fact that there are close to 7 billion of us and slightly over 6000 of them. They will tear down empires to build a new right over the top, it is their job. They don’t care what we like or dislike BUT they must yeild to the 7 billion if the hive is banded like the borg on an issue. They will then wait for another opportunity no matter if that period is 50/100/150 years.

Fools rush in and volunteer to play their part in these events. Fathers, sons, brothers gone in a twinkling of an eye but I am not sure that now only crisis actors will shed bags of theatrical blood. The revolution starts on a Friday and the NWO announces victory on Monday while the sheep are glued to the tv.

Francis & Bea, you’re both right. It would be helpful for the regulars here to define terms sometime so that we’re not discussing apples and oranges but we can do that later. My thought from the title to “Have a nice day.” was that we should never underestimate anyone that might be considered part of the “Elite” by anyone among us. It’s safer to think of each of them as evil masterminds and find out later that they were just useful idiots.

None of this is happening by accident or chance. As I’ve said before, I think the ones orchestrating this catastrophe shot their wad about a decade or two, too early. My hope and feeling is that there are still enough of us who were sufficiently educated to recognize what is going on and still young enough to present a valid threat, be it peaceful or violent, to those in charge. Had they waited another decade or two it would have been a cakewalk for them.

The truth is that we need not know the names of those wielding ultimate power over us. All we need to do is disarm them by taking away their only weapon of mass destruction…….central banking and then ban it specifically by constitutional amendment under penalty of death. If the central bankers then want to identify themselves by name in lawsuits in search of collateral or restitution, they can do so at their own peril. I’m there will be more than enough vigilantes looking for blood if they are that stupid.

My fear is that some significant number of the deplorables go full retard before more civilized methods of redress can be demanded.

Bea,
At this stage of a turning we are going to see infighting among even
the most invisible. There is the vulnerability. Unless of course the
pyramid “top” are not human.
Waking up is waking up. I am a spotty student of history, yet I do
recall that it is a very small segment of (high) risk takers required
to topple the egg. The teeming masses running back and forth
“revolting” are just reactionaries. And, of course, among that top,
there will be escapees. So, there is no getting rid of them “for once and
for all.”

An excellent article. However the American people have been completely dumbed down. Revolution? There are a few who might actually try / succeed in blowing up a government building – but that’s about it.

Trump said it all in his Thursday 10/13 speech. I don’t believe it will have any effect. Say what you want, the football game or Kim Kardashian are more important to the average, non-thinking American.

IMO the US will continue down a path of decay until there is hopeless confusion, and finally a surrender to globalism.

I had this exact thought at the store the other day. I looked around and what I saw was troubling. Even a simple trip to the grocery store portends doom.

The people were miserable. The store was packed and no one wanted to be there.
The cashiers were miserable. They put thousands of items in plastic bags for a living just so they could buy a few of their own at the end of the day.
The products were lousy. The food was poisonous, low quality crap that does not fulfill a person in any way.
The money is almost worthless. You can barely buy a meal or two for less than $40.
Everyone was in a hurry. All of the crowds, iGadgets, and economic pressures had them in a time vice where they can barely accomplish the basic tasks of life.
People said “hello,” “thank you,” and the like but no one meant any of it.
Even the store is not making that much money. They have to rely on packing aisles full of alcohol and hawking store credit cards to try to make a profit.

And yet next year, at the same time, the store will be more crowded because of millions of more refugees being packed into the U.S. sardine can. The food will be more expensive and of even lower quality. The people will have even less time and will be more addicted to their smartphones and social media. There will be another aisle full of “craft beer” in fancy labels and 50 more varieties of flavored corn chips. Fewer and fewer people will be alive that even remember a time when things were not like this.

How much longer can this go on?

THE WRATH OF THE AWAKENED SAXON
by Rudyard Kipling

It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.

They were not easily moved,
They were icy — willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Saxon began to hate.

Their voices were even and low.
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
No man spoke it aloud
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not suddently bred.
It will not swiftly abate.
Through the chilled years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Saxon began to hate.

Although most of the people I encounter out in public are border line retarded, they are for the most part decent and courteous. I’ve mentioned before that the negro population where I live is rather small compared to what most of the US enjoys. 🙂 Today however, I had something quite remarkable happen at Home Depot today.

I have a 20 year old Roughneck trashcan with a dry rotted lid and a newer Brute trash can in need of a lid. As we entered the garden area i was greeted by a black dude that asked if he could help me. I told him what we were looking for. He took us back and told us that they don’t sell the lids separately. He then handed me the two lids I needed and he said they were on the house and to let the cashier know that the dept manager said they were free. The larger lid retails for $24-$40 online. I didn’t check the smaller one but that dude saved me at least $30 for no other reason than to just be kind AFAIK. I know that many here have a (legitimate) problems with blacks but my experience today largely represents my life long experience with blacks in general. I don’t expect to be swapping spit with the guy or anything but he sure didn’t have to do what he did.

I only notice the undercurrent of discontent online for the most part. In public people tend to be rather cordial unless they are behind the wheel! Maybe I just spend too much time in my Fortress of Assholeitude!
