QP’s story reminds me of a millennial we recently had on the job working as a laborer. The crew had just spread out crushed rock over an area that was the base for a concrete slab pour. The foreman asked the millennial to compact the crushed rock and pointed him towards the jumping jack plate compactor and told him to use that tool to compact the rock. The millennial drug the plate compactor over to the crushed rock and proceeded to manually lift the compactor up and down pounding the crushed rock. The astonished crew doubled over laughing at this simpleton as he continued busting his ass lifting and dropping the tool on the ground. Finally one of the guys couldn’t take it anymore and walked over and showed the kid what the big gas engine on the compactor was for…….
